The prices were reasonable. I got some river rocks and wood to jazz up the tank and support the orchids in my terrarium. These items were priced by weight and the employees had to weigh them and calculate the price up front at the register. I spent about $20 on everything I got. There was no sense of courtesy from any employee and I, among others, waited over and an hour and a half before leaving out of frustration. When calling out names, the employees were not even being loud, with the dogs and cats barking, its no wonder how people cannot hear their names. Its like the girls were purposely trying to not have to interact with the customers. I noticed a lady asking the employees questions and she reported that the girl was giving her an attitude. It really did seem that way. I had gotten so anxious waiting and feeling unwelcomed that I had a panic attack and left before they even called my name. Got in at 2:25 and left at 3:55. It sucks to see the employees not care about others and the animals. I was there to adopt!! I hope they work on management amd customer servive because it was horrible. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/8nqwk17hBoScgrJR/?mibextid=oFDknk…read more I just want to leave my story here It hurts my soul to see this post, I trusted Urgent Vet, my cocky felt bad on Wednesday afternoon, I tried to call and find an appointment at the place where they have always treated him Stand For Animals Veterinary, they did not answer me, I sent an email to the Doctor who treated him in August and she told me that he had problems in the urine and ordered me to give him antibiotics, yes we gave it as the Doctor told me, on Thursday he woke up better, but on Friday morning he did not get out of his bed, I sent an email to his Doctor to see if she could recommend a place to take him because I saw he was in bad shape, the Doctor recommended Urgent Vet and told me that it was not so expensive there, she made the appointment for 5 in the afternoon, we took him with my son, I paid for the X-rays that were almost $ 700 dollars, they told me that he needed surgery, that he had stones and that He urgently needed the surgery that cost $4000 or it could be more and that I couldn't take him because he was in very bad shape, and that if I didn't have the money for the surgery there were two options: 1) call a shelter to take care of the surgery but we would lose all rights to Cocky or the other was to put him to sleep. We couldn't pay that amount so we ourselves helped find a shelter to operate on him. We couldn't allow Cocky to suffer, and we never, ever authorized that he be sacrificed or put to sleep. We have had Cocky four years and we love him with all our heart and strength. He always had his medical exams and vaccinations up to date every year. My children love him, my husband and I love him, especially my 9 year old son who hasn't stopped crying and suffering since that day, and all because we were not in a good economic position at the moment, but all our family and friends know how important he is to our family. how happy he was with us, it hurts us that they take advantage of our pain to say things that are not true, my nine year old son is entering in depression because every time he came home from school Cocky greeted him with all his love and joy, just like us, my other 13 year old son is also suffering, I don't understand why they say that we had him in a miserable situation, when we always treated Cocky with love, the only thing we are guilty of is not having the money and putting our trust in emergency vet, and giving him up due to lack of money.

Plus, we were a little tired of paying a kennel to watch the dog AND to have someone stop by for the cats. One of my friends works occasionally for Happy Tails, so I asked her her thoughts on it (she lives too far to make frequent visits to our house). She highly recommended Happy Tails outside of working for them, so we decided to give them a shot. We were a little reluctant giving a total stranger the key to our house, not to mention putting the well-being of our furry children in their hands, but we had to do something. The owner, Shelly, took care of the arrangements and we met Jason, who would be watching our pets and house during our absence. Jason seemed very nice and we liked that he had two dogs of his own. Upon our return, we were VERY impressed that Jason had not only looked after our pets, but sat with the dog for 1/2 an hour each time so he wasn't locked up in his crate all day, gave the one cat his medication twice daily, rotated leaving lights on in the house so it didn't look totally deserted, scooped the litterbox (even though we told him it wouldn't be necessary for the length of time we'd be gone), and even took out the garbage! Jason (and Happy Tails) went above and beyond our expectations, and it was cheaper than using the kennel, we were able to see the dog right when we got home (instead of waiting for kennel hours), someone looked after our house, and we didn't have to pull double-duty with the dog one place and the cats in another. What a great service and end to our trip! For our longer out-of-town trips when we feel guilty asking friends to make so many visits, we'll definitely use Happy Tails again.

Alex showed up on time and with treats which Tigger loved. He took the time to hear about Tigger's needs and regular day-to-day activity and made recommendations for his walks - as I was to go out of town that weekend. They have an app I could download letting me know exactly what time the walker arrived and left, showed a map of where they walked Tigger, his bathroom activity and even pictures - letting me know that he was okay - every single day.
