One female was extremely sick, she had fun rot, developed a prolapse, and multiple other issues. Unfortunately the fish didn't recover. All the females passed away fast, within a few weeks for no obvious reason. I decided recently to try purchasing from them again and now I only have one female guppy fish living. The males I bought are doing pretty good. But I went from 14 guppies to 1 guppy in just a matter of 3 weeks. I also ordered snails which one looked NOTHING like the picture. It looks so different I can't even tell what kind of snail it is. Maybe when/if it gets bigger it will look like what I paid for.

This place is AWSOME! A couple of idiots hoped to pull a fast one and get some high dollar fish for far less than they're worth and then hop on a years old band wagon.... We have been shopping here since they opened. The owner, the staff, the selection, everything has only gotten better and better! This is the only place I will buy feeders, reptiles, etc. Also, to combat the whole "smell" accusation from before and from the Fries..... Guess what; we live in the south. It's humid. Animals smell. They all do. Birds, reptiles, fish, bugs, rats, mice, even cats and dogs. And they all smell worse when it's humid. WE SMELL WORSE WHEN ITS HUMID. Guess what. A fish and reptile store is going to have a scent. It is NOT a big box store that has thousands of square footage. It's is a wonderful locally owned establishment that caters to those of us in the exotics trade with professionalism, kindness, cleanliness, care, concern, all while remaining price conscious. Don' t let the previous reviews below dissuade you from shopping here. Just some retail Kyles and Karens hoping to pull a fast one because a Cichlid tank had assorted Chiclids and they hoped to get a steal on a pricey fish. This place is our only go to!

They have some awesome fish and coral you can purchase. The store is very inviting and the staff is friendly and helpful. I didn't explore the whole store but I did find what I needed. The prices were reasonable. I got some river rocks and wood to jazz up the tank and support the orchids in my terrarium. These items were priced by weight and the employees had to weigh them and calculate the price up front at the register. I spent about $20 on everything I got. I've had a great experience with Triad Reef Critters now Triad Aquatic Critters over the years…read more They handled moving my entire reef tank from one house to another, and anyone in the hobby knows that's no small task. During the move, they noticed my plumbing setup wasn't ideal and completely redid it, which has been a huge improvement. Unfortunately, I did lose three fish during the move, but they stood behind their work and gave me a livestock credit without any hassle. That level of customer service says a lot. Their prices seem to be right in line with other local fish stores. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that right before they relocated, I purchased a few replacement fish and lost two of them within a week while they were in my quarantine tank. To be fair, losses can happen with any fish store, and that's just part of the reefing hobby. What has always stood out to me is how informative, honest, and courteous the staff is. They're willing to answer questions, offer advice, and genuinely help hobbyists succeed. I haven't had a chance to visit their new location yet, but I definitely plan to soon. Overall, I'd recommend Triad aquatic Critters to anyone in the reefing community looking for knowledgeable service and a store that stands behind its customers.
