Sampling the finished baked goods we helped make..
    Dwight H.

Bonjour! My wife and I had a untypical visit to this quaint little bakery by booking a behind the scenes bakery tour through Viator. The tour is called "Paris french bakery behind the scenes experience." wife and I started off with a sampling of assorted pastries before going to see the behind-the-scenes operations of a working Paris Bakery. It was a one of a kind experience. Our charming guide, Cyrine explained interesting facts about the different baked goods, and the history behind them. We had the opportunity to work with baguette dough, shape them before they were baked for our enjoyment. We also were given a recipe for Financiers. After preparing the dough for batch, additionally we were able to shape a batch of croissants. At the end, we have a new appreciation for the labor and techniques that goes into creating iconic Parisian bread and pastries. We had a great time.

We stayed across the street and this was my morning routine for breakfast. It was a challenge to keep my daily selection to a reasonable number of delicious options as everything looked and tasted so good. The staff were friendly and patient.

The place is so quaint - and the service was absolutely wonderful. I felt like I had walked in to my grandmother's house! There were so many choices too. I appreciated the server being patient with my questions (since I'm allergic to nuts!) and I appreciated her taking the time to check their ingredient list and speak w/ other people in the bakery. We went right before closing, and the line was out the door (in the rain). The store had many displays of delicious treats, and we couldn't wait to get our hands on the toasted delicacies. Overall, the taste was delicious for each things we bought. We were thoroughly stuffed and satisfied. Writing this now is making me wish we had it close by - I literally can still taste the butter from the pastry on my tongue. Yum.

I had the raisin swirl and a coffee. The coffee was fine but the raisin swirl was kinda bready. Pretty much every who sat down was a tourist and everyone who was doing take out was French - it was a Sunday morning so maybe that explains it.

Took some pastries to go home today. Bought a box of coffee eclair, chocolate eclair, chocolate mousse and a strawberry rasberry cake, wow mind blowing. All the pastries were delicious, not very sweet. I wish i had a expresso to wash it all down but, otherwise very reliable pastries.

Oh when you stumble upon greatness, or are visually encouraged to find the stumble. What in the world does that mean? While in Paris having breakfast at a sidewalk cafe and people watching. We watched a continuous flow of people walk by the cafe holding white bags with black simple lettering that we could not make out. As time passed we notice the flow of people with the same bag grew increasingly fast. I told my husband we must find this place and figure out what is this big deal. So after our breakfast we walked towards the "yellow brick road" the direction in which folks were coming from, and 2 blocks later we found the pastry oasis. It is a cute bright shop with beautiful pastries, and breads. The staff is very kind. We purchased a baguette, a croissant & some pastries. They were all delicious and worth the investigative search. When in Paris give it a shot!

    Plain croissant. Chocolate croissant. Coffee.

Excellent bakery with fresh and affordable goods in Paris' Marais district. Breakfasts here are great way to start out a day of sightseeing, and you can pick up a sandwich or a panini to go to save for lunch. For breakfast, we liked the plain and chocolate croissants and the coffee. I had the Erik Kayser croissants, but I prefer Miss Manon's. These are crispier on the outside, fluffier on the inside, and with a much higher turnover all day. For lunch or dinner, enjoy a ham and cheese baguette or a panini. We saw many places that advertised paninis on the street, but none looked very appetizing. I'm glad I chose Miss Manon for my panini- I am sure those other places would have spoiled my appetite for them. It takes about five minutes for them to toast them, and after the time you receive a delicious sandwich on warm and crispy ciabatta bread with fresh mozzarella and arugula, plus your choice of meat (I liked the salmon one especially). For any time of day, enjoy a fresh demi- or whole-size baguette. I liked the plain ones, but I would try the sesame ones next time. They seemed to be very popular among the customers.

Awesome patisserie. We only came once because it's a little more expensive than comparable bakeries we found, but everything I had here was delicious. The apple tart was superb, with thinly sliced apples and a chewy, buttery crust. I also had a caramel eclair, which made an excellent snack after walking around the Louvre for a few hours. The sit-down prices are insane (6 euro for a latte I think) so we did takeaway.

    The combo (the formule)

Reasonably priced combo (formule). A sandwich & a pastry & a soda. I got a salmon sandwich & a flan & a coke. All real good. The place is very cute & cozy. Service great and the breads are heavenly.

The locals go to this place. Amazing wheat baguette. Amazing cappuccino. Plus the price point is unbeatable. What more can you ask for?

THE SERVICE ----------------------- - Employee who helped us with our order was friendly, but the cashier was a bit blah and not exactly the friendliest person, especially when we asked for extra utensils and napkins. We came here for some coffee on a rainy afternoon, but were pleasantly surprised to see escargot on the menu too and figured we'd give it a shot. The escargot on the other hand, was so fantastic. They were served all cute in their little shells on a tray, and bubbling when we first got them. The green sauce that they came with was fantastic, and the butter was also a great addition! This made for such a flavorful little bite - escargots taste like little chewy clams to me, nothing strange at all. It also came with a few pieces of baguette to soak up the yummy sauce. Service was friendly and the inside of the restaurant has such a nice vibe. I would definitely recommend this spot!

They have a clean bathroom upstairs, you'll just need to climb the staircase. We ordered the strawberry crepe and duck and asparagus galette bretonne. So there's actually a bit of a difference between a crepe and a galette. Crepes are usually sweet and made with wheat flour, while galettes are usually savory and made with buckwheat flour. Between the two, I enjoyed the strawberry crepe more, the strawberry jam made the crepe a delicious sweet treat. The flavors of the galette weren't as satisfying to my tastebuds, but I still enjoyed it. I would be interesting in trying other galette flavors next time. While my expectations weren't fully realized (I didn't LOVE it), I still enjoyed giving Breizh Cafe a try.
