I've been looking forward to a Miss Augusta Dinner Cruise for so long, and it did not disappoint! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the views were absolutely stunning, such a memorable experience. A few things that could take the experience from good to excellent: It would be great if coffee & alcohol drinks could be served to guests at their tables instead of everyone having to line up at the bar. The cruise goes by quickly, and time spent waiting in line could instead be spent enjoying the views or the company of your guests. I would even be willing to spend more money per ticket for the wine/alcohol to be included and served, so we don't have to start a tab or pay for every cocktail. I also wish we could choose our main course ahead of time. I don't eat fish, so that part of my entrée unfortunately went to waste. Overall, it was a beautiful evening and I highly recommend it, just a few small changes would make it even more special! I'll definitely be back again soon. Overall an enjoyable experience for our group. Buffet had food options for all and appreciated the salad selection and fruit mix. We were able to go to the different levels of the boat. Best part besides the sips & bites was being given moment to pose as captain of the boat. Would have liked to see a couple of other drink options included besides tea / coffee. What a fun experience! My whole family got together to celebrate my parents' anniversary on the Miss Augusta. The kids (5&7yo) enjoyed a "fancy" evening and would like to take a yacht ride everyday (they need jobs). There are three levels. The outside decks were great for lounging. The food was very good and I was impressed that the entree was still hot by the time it arrived to the table, it takes extra time to get to get it to the second level. I loved the salad, the dressing was so flavorful. And dessert was sweet and tart and tasty (it just needed a dab of ice cream;). Since the evening wasn't quite sold out, bar service went pretty quickly. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The captain let the kids steer (maybe they can get that job!). I would definitely recommend you try it out if you are looking to do something different. I bet the fall colors would make a great cruise! And a shout out to the shuttle bus driver, who got us to and from the yacht safe and sound. And thank you to Mr Pleasant for allowing passengers to use your parking lot for the evening. read more

I was excited when our niece asked if we'd be interested in a sightseeing boat cruise on the Missouri River. Anytime I can be on water in a secure boat, much less a luxury yacht, is a yes for me. The boat cruise was approximately 45 minutes from our starting locations of Augusta, MO. The cruise begins in a small, cozy town called Augusta with very curvy, narrow roads and 3 wineries as the main attraction of the town. We saw a few small cafes and coffee shops in town but not much more other than the wineries. The countryside is stunning with rolling hills and beautiful scenery. Church steeples peak out of the mountain tops all throughout the hillsides. The lush trees are stunning with beautiful fall colors as they approach their peak colors. We had to drive to the Mount Pleasant Estates and Winery to park our car where a coach bus picked up everyone taking the cruise tour. You have to drive past where we boarded the boat to park, but it's because there isn't enough parking by the boat dock plus residents park close by to use the extremely busy trails. This area has beautiful and well maintain trails, and the residents seem to understand how lucky they are. The trails are always busy with runners, walkers and bike riding. We parked in the parking lot across from the Mount Pleasant Winery in Augusta where the Mount Pleasant antique cars are parked. These vintage cars are so cool and well maintained. I have a few pictures I've taken of the cars and attached to this review. The Coach bus was extremely large for the small, narrow and extremely curvy roads. However, our bus driver had it under control. The boat has 3 levels with indoor and outdoor seating. They offer limited food and a bar with various water, soda, beer, wine and speciality cocktails. We grabbed a large, 4-top table outdoors on the covered 2nd level by the bar area. The drink prices were reasonable. We didn't eat but many people took advantage of the snacks and sandwiches. There isn't much to see along the Missouri River except the work the core of engineers have completed. Along the cliff area are extravagant estate to enjoy. Be sure to look for the stately house with the old outhouse on the cliff. Stunning mansions to enjoy for a few minutes if your into that as I love looking at homes. The trip was tranquil plus allowed us time to catch up with our family. I would recommend to anyone desiring a restful trip on the Missouri river. Incorporate a wine tour at one of the 3 wineries before or after the cruise or explore Augusta. read more

October, 2022 visit Great cruise - friendly staff, good food, fun on the river with friends - - - - - - - - We'd been wanting to enjoy a cruise on the Miss Augusta since we first heard of the announcement of the ship. My wonderful wife coordinated two of us couples enjoying a fine lunch cruise a couple weeks ago. - - - - - - - - Getting There We purchased our tickets online and followed the guidance to arrive at the Mount Pleasant Winery, where we boarded the motor coach to the Klondike Boat Dock (don't park at the dock; you can't board there - go to Mt. Pleasant). The motor coach drops you off a few steps from the boat ramp. - - - - - - - - Boarding The Saturday we floated was a beautiful day, before we received some much-needed rain. The Missouri River was low; approximately 9-10 feet; the Miss Augusta drafts about 5 feet, so we had plenty of clearance. Due to the low water level, the upper deck was almost even with the shoreline... which made for a slight downward incline of the plank, which provided no problem for boarding. - - - - - - - - All Have A View The Miss Augusta can apparently hold ~150 passengers, and as best we can tell every seat will have a view; some seats next to the window, others with clear views out the windows. - - - - - - - - Food The food... for this lunch cruise we enjoyed - Caesar salad - pork tenderloin with apple chutney and vegetables - whipped cheese cake for dessert all very well prepared - thank you, chef! Wine and other drinks are available at the bar for an additional cost... my wife and I enjoyed an Augusta Norton. Friends enjoyed a mixed drink and beer. - - - - - - - - The Scenery The cruise, at least this day, was downriver then back up. The scenery is so nice from the river, with the hillsides and the manmade dykes and rock jetties projecting into the river to control the water's flow. The Captain guided the ship so smoothly that we barely noticed the movement... the scenery nice glided past the windows. - - - - - - - - The upper deck is open to the sky, which is great for sightseeing. - - - - - - - - We had a great afternoon and are thankful for the Hoffmann Family and the crew for providing such a nice afternoon. Hubby and I went here for a dinner date to celebrate our anniversary. We caught the tour bus from the Augusta Winery to the boat dock. It was a great price for a dinner and a cruise. We made the reservation online and we knew what the meal was. They don't have a menu other than for drinks, but it's a good system imo because it allows the chef to focus on one entree. I'm rate this experience a 3 nice and simple If it's no more then 100 people on the boat it's just right. Not to big and not that fancy. Now I bet on the Hollidays it looks pretty die to the decor they would put up. We went as a group of 16 on this rainy day. It's a rain or shine event and no refunds, but you can reschedule. Our group chose the lunch cruise. We had the lunch which was a nice an simple salad with honey mustard dressing and a roll. Air flight. chicken with mash the chicken cut nicely but needed to be a little juicer. However the leek sauce served with it was needed. The simple dessert was given as a nice berry tart. Also, this place is not handicap accessible. So i guess this steep ramp you have to go down is okay? Nope not when you have parents with bad knees or in a wheelchair. My brother bought us this experience as my Christmas gift and it was SO awesome! We all met at Augusta Winery parking lot and rode the charter bus to the boat ramp (if that's the correct terminology). Once we arrived, we learned that Mother Nature wasn't on our side, as the river was super low and the boat was stuck in mud. We were bummed, however we were still able to experience the boat, drinks, good, and amazing company. We were given vouchers to come back and get the full experience, which was very much appreciated. Our table was near the window by the bar, and it was perfect for 5 people. We started out with drinks and we got a bottle of the Norton Reserve from Augusta Winery (love that they use locally sourced beverages-- it IS Augusta!). It's one of my favorite wines and I was so happy they had it! Food came next, and we started with a salad and roll, the salad was a good combo of flavors, loved the fried onions on top! Next we had the entree, which was salmon, prime rib, masked potatoes, and vegetables. Everything wAs INCREDIBLE! The prime rib was cooked perfectly and not overdone, and the salmon was flaky and flavorful. For dessert we had an apple caramel tart. I'm not a huge apple in dessert gal, but it was warm and gooey and I enjoyed it. After the ride there was time for music and mingling. They had a live DJ which was an awesome touch. During the meal, he played Christmas carols. After the meal, he played some dancing music, which some people really took to the next level. This is a new experience for St.Charles County and sure it be a very popular attraction once it is moored in Augusta.The yacht is beautiful and staff is friendly and attentive making for a nice tour. We went on the lunch cruise and next time I will choose juts the cruise and purchase appetizers from the bar because they looked better than the lunch we received.Lunch wad tomato soup, sandwich or wrap, pasta salad and a cookie.They have 2 full bars and also offer bottles of wine from Augusta wineries.This is 2 hour event from boarding time until return to dock and once out in Augusta the scenery will make every cruise a wonderful experience. read more

This Yacht was purchased by the Hoffman family, owners of Augusta Winery. It was recently moved from Louisiana to the St. Louis Yacht Club. Brunch and dinner cruise reservations may be made via their website until the end of November. Masks are mandatory when walking and boarding. The facilities were charming with indoor and outdoor seating. There where two full bars and multiple restrooms. The crew and staff were friendly and gave great service. We were pleased with our 3 course/2 entrée meals and are looking forward to cruises when the weather warms up. The Yacht club is a little difficult to find with winding roads, poor lighting and no signage. It was cold, windy, and dark the night we cruised, but the staff kept us comfortable. River was closed and the cruise was not happening but the company failed to inform anyone that the boat was not cruising until they were already boarded. Then said all we were doing was just having dinner while remaining docked. I understood that the river was closed and the boat couldn't go in the cruise but extremely upset that the company failed to inform anyone in case we wanted to reschedule or get a refund per their company policy. No actual waiter service. We had to get our own drinks (including water) and the wine that was offered was an extreme up charge from what we could get from the Hoffman owned wineries- cheapest was a $40 bottle of wine that goes for roughly $8 at the local grocery store and $25 at the actual winery down the street. Food was just ok. It was a low quality prime rib, extremely salty green beans and burnt potato wedges. Everything from the lack of notification of itinerary change to the service and food was disappointing. Company said we are supposed to get a voucher (still haven't received it) for a free scenic cruise since our cruise didn't cruise. However, if we wanted to get what we already paid for we would need to pay extra. read more

The cruise was nice. Overall I recommend it and I would do it again but it would just be Hors d'oeuvres and drinks. We did the dinner cruise. Parked at Montelle winery in the overflow parking. The signage was good. It is the ambiance. My only issue was they opened the bar but couldn't buy appetizers. I think food + alcohol is a no brainer. Maybe a little charcuterie or bread and butter at the table (and better than the generic Hawaiian bread we had). Drinks were expensive but not extraordinary. Probably best to just buy a bottle of wine, you are getting MO wines and everything that implies. It's dinner time people are hungry, actually some people were downright hangry by the time they received food. There were a lot of people not pleased. The staff are phenomenal and they want you to have an amazing time. My review has nothing to do with them and everything to do with the quality of the meal. We went to Annie Gunn's afterwards. My family went on the Thanksgiving Dinner Cruise. A group of nine, last year we were placed together, but this year they split us in to two tables. Not great for a family holiday! When I asked, they said they only had 4-top and 6-top tables. (There was a larger group seated together this year). Just beware if you would like your party seated together! The staff were very friendly and helpful. My main complaint was the length of the cruise, 90 minutes was not nearly enough time, just when you get comfortable, it's over.
