She directed us to the door and we were greeted by two more people. Luckily we had reservations as every table had a personalized reserve sign including our time and number in party. When making our reservation we were given the choice of the music room or some other room. We chose the back of the music room and it was perfect. There are five tables and we could see and hear the two musicians. We ordered chicken salad, tuna melt and cucumber salad. We also had a small dish of fresh fruit. We were in no hurry and our food was delivered at just the right time. The wait staff are mature women and seem to love their job. The Old House is charming and we were encouraged to tour the house on our own. As a result, I plan to bring my friends for the holidays.

That's okay, the restaurant caters to casual lunch customers.

The dining area is used for receptions during the weekends, but during the week it is a place to get breakfast, lunch and dinner. I've never been to one of their catered events (that I know of), but if their restaurant is any indication, I would have to imagine that it's pretty darn good. I've never had a bad meal here. I work really close to this location, so it's a really convenient place to grab a bite. They have a bit of a different set-up--you order at a counter, grab your drinks and a seat, then they serve it to you. It actually makes the process go really quickly, ideal for a work lunch. The menu is extensive and filled with wraps, sandwiches and salads. It's inexpensive and you get a lot of food for your money. For instance, a chicken wrap with two sides is under 8 bucks. And the food is good. My only complaint is last time I was there, the fries were a bit bland. They also have a nice patio area, so you can get outside in the middle of a workday--which many times is much-needed! My favorite thing about this place is the daily "freebies" you get with your order. Tuesday you get a free beverage, Wednesday a free cookie, and Friday they offer a free ice-cream sundae (they offer other things the other days as well). This only makes the value of your meal even greater.

I'll be honest...my heart fell when I saw that this place was co-located with a Comfort Inn. The meeting room was decent but lacked a lot of the high tech stuff you see other places like twin screens and lapel mics. The luncheon exceeded my expectations. We started with a nice garden salad. Fresh and delicious with salad dressing served on the side. Fresh, hot rolls and butter came around as well. The entree was a stuffed chicken breast with herbed rice, cranberries and walnuts. It was sliced and plated beautifully and accompanied by some sauteed carrots which were sweet without having been cooked to the point of mushiness. The chicken was cooked exactly right such that it was nice and juicy. There were also some roasted seasoned potatoes that were very good when dredged through the gravy that topped the chicken. The meal finished with a really moist carrot cake with a little crunch added to the frosting. Just plain delicious!

I am in the beginning stages of planning my sister's baby shower. The time to print and buy shower invitations is now upon me. Also, I've been the to sushi place next door a few times at night and always admire the gigantic giraffe in the window. I stopped in yesterday with my boyfriend to check out and get a price on the giraffe (baby present, hello!) and see what kind of invite printing/customization they offer. The employees were sitting in the back, talking to another customer about an order she had placed. There is a bell, and the place is not that big; they clearly saw and heard us walk in. We were given a quick glance, and that was it. We walked around for five or ten minutes, looking at the invitations and small children's toys/gifts that they had. We even were obviously looking at the giraffe and trying to look for a price tag! Still, no one said a single word to us or gave us a second glance. We left without making a purchase, and I will NOT be returning. It's a shame, because they had several invites that I liked and obviously the giraffe I wanted to buy. Horrible, terrible customer service!

The contact was very simple to understand, the process was flawless. The decorated exactly how I wanted. Amen I walked into the event hall it was exactly what I had pictured in my mind. The place was set up beautifully. It was very professionally run. The food was top notch, really really good. They actually handled everything perfectly. My only complaint of that the food servers put the good away too quickly. None of the guest were given the opportunity to go up for seconds although there was a ton of food left over. It stated in the contract that food cannot be removed from the premises and that's was fine with me but I would expect my guest to be able to get what was there instead of it being packed away so quickly. Some of my guest left and went and picked up a burger because they were still hungry. There were several guest that did not make the event which means there was more than enough for some folks to get seconds. I'm not sure what happened to the food that was left over but it was a significant amount. My nephew actually did ask for s couple of played to go and was given what he asked for but I'm my opinion the servers should have allowed a little more time for people to eat their fill. I would definitely use them again but I would make sure there would be a better understanding about the serving of the food.

Not only was the service wonderful from the initial gathering time with cocktails / mocktails and passed appetizers but it continued all the way through a beautiful luncheon and the unwrapping of gifts. I never wanted for anything. Additionally, the food was excellent. Lunch included a salad with strawberries, oranges, nuts, and cheese followed by chicken & mushroom enchiladas in a cream sauce served with asparagus. They also served various breads and cinnamon pinwheels and dessert was the most delicious cake covered in berries. The personal touches that the venue allowed were also wonderful - from crafting a signature drink to writing "it's a boy!" on each dessert plate with the cake. The venue had 3 main areas, 2 of which we used - one for lunch using large round tables of 10 (very comfortable, even with a wine glass, water glass, tea glass, bread plate, and charger) and the other for unwrapping gifts that had multiple couches and chairs and the most gorgeous stained glass windows. Had it been a nicer day we would have enjoyed the patio area. It looked gorgeous and overlooked the golf course with a view of the fountain. Parking was a breeze. I would absolutely recommend this venue for a small to medium sized event. We had about 40 guests at the baby shower. Everything was top notch.
