Nice drive out to the Augusta are to visit Sunflower Hill Farm and it's so worth it, the grounds are beautiful and the free range chickens are so cute. They have a small store/ gift shop inside along with seating or patio seating is available. The menu is small but good options. Cubano sandwich was delicious loaded with plenty of meat and cheese. We went to Sunflower Hill Farm last year for a wonderful Father's Day lunch. I called this year and they're not having any Father's Day celebration this year. They're having a wedding. It's pretty lousy that they couldn't leave Father's Day available so families could celebrate their Fathers. I'm sure this wouldn't have happened on Mother's Day. read more

Sunflower Hill Farm was nestled on the side of a hill between Augusta and Defiance. The setting is pretty and the outdoor patio had great views. I loved seeing their chickens free-ranging around the grounds. The food was good, but the menu is limited. I had the veggie grilled cheese and would order it again. This is a nice quiet spot in Augusta away from the hustle and bustle of the wineries. Staff was very friendly and there was ample parking. You do have to walk up a small hill from the parking lot. What a great quant location when looking to spend a relaxing day with a view. Went on a gorgeous fall day. All wineries were packed but this place was like a hidden gem. Found parking easily and an open table in the middle of the afternoon. It was touch a chilly, and the heaters created a perfect temp for outside dining. The staff was so friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed my chicken salad sandwich although it could have used a little more meat. The farm salad was very fresh and tasty. And of course you can't go wrong with the view! They also offer ample indoor seating and additional, not serviced, seating for those looking to drink a bottle or glass of wine at the "other house" on the property. read more

Without everyone at Sunflower Hill Farms, our wedding would not have been as magical and perfect as it was.  Quinn, Rob and Freyja were so amazing and went above and beyond at every step.  Incredibly proactive in the days and months leading up to the wedding.  They were all a blessing the day of helping with anything and everything small and large.  We loved that it was a small family owned and run group.    We did the wedding weekend package so we got access to the (very pretty and charming) house on property the day before and after.  The bridesmaids had a fun sleepover the night before and there were plenty of rooms for everyone. Our dog is a big part of our lives and we wanted to make sure she was included in our special day. A deciding factor for us when choosing a venue was to make sure it was dog friendly. Once again, they went above and beyond to make us all feel comfortable and welcomed.   Waking up the next morning as a new MARRIED couple and looking out over our venue was a moment we'll remember forever.  Thank you for making our day as incredible as it was. We had our wedding at Sunflower Hill Farm and it was nothing short of spectacular. The kindness, thoughtfulness, and awareness the SHF team brought to not only the event but the planning was more than we could've ever asked for. The venue was spectacular. We opted to have our ceremony inside the barn area in the breezeway and it was beautiful. Everything was set up by the team in the most stunning way. Rob, the owner, was constantly kind and thoughtful all throughout prep and the day itself. Freya, our coordinator, was so attentive to detail and extremely hardworking. She dealt with any challenges that came up and found ways to accomodate even our special requests and asks! If there were any problems on the wedding day, we never found out about it - she kept us on schedule and perfectly organized. She is seriously a super star. The catering team and servers were wonderful, polite, light hearted and so efficient. They were never in the way but always there when you needed them. We opted to have SHF cater our dinner and it was just so so good. Even if you don't get married here - we highly recommend stopping in for lunch! Having our wedding at Sunflower Hill was the cornerstone of making it the most special day of our lives and having it go incredibly smoothly. If we decided to renew our vows, we'd come back. My husband and I got married here in April 2024 and it was an absolute dream. We were able to rent the venue for the entire weekend to have our dinner rehearsal and wedding at the farm. We stayed in the gorgeous farm house on the hill while we had our celebrations. We worked closely with Freyja, Lucy (florist), and Rob to plan the perfect wedding weekend. I wish I could give more than 5 stars, they and their team exceeded our expectations. They went above and beyond to make sure the day was perfect. They were flexible and made sure you felt heard during the wedding planning process. I wanted to have a stress free day, they ensured this was the case. They communicated well, paid attention to small details, and made you feel so comfortable. I would recommend that everyone check this place out!! My wife and I have been taking weekend picnics all summer long. Today, after enjoying a lunch at nearby Klondike park, we took a chance and veered ofc the path home because of a sign along Highway 94. A little off the turn and over the bridge a beautiful sight is there to see. Passing a large garden and parking next to a stand of sunflowers we entered. A short walk past a beautifully landscaped path we reached the main building. We were warmly greeted and had a table on the covered patio. We were sorry that we had eaten because the menu had several things I'm looking forward to trying. We opted for a bottle of wine and sat back and relaxed. The landscaping is for butterflies to flourish in and there were hundreds fliting around. They are set up as a small cafe and a large event space. They have an outdoor wedding area set up and a 2- stores house that the bridal party can use to get ready in. We were encouraged to wander around and enjoy the views. They were spectacular. While talking with the owner she told us of upcoming events and we were able to reserve a spot at an upcoming early harvest dinner they are having. We are looking forward to many more enjoyable times here. read more

Beautifully designed home with views of gorgeous scenery from every window. We stayed at the Sunflower Hill Farm Estate for a family vacation. We were far enough away to disconnect but close enough to enjoy the local cuisines, shopping, and attractions. The kitchen is fully stocked with any appliance you may need while staying, but cooking isn't really needed as the cafe is in walking distance. The cafe serves the best lattes, the food is delicious (the cookies are a must have), and the staff are the most friendly people I have ever met. 10 out of 10, I highly recommend and look forward to vacationing here again. read more

Sunflower Hill Farm is a must visit! I took my parents when they were in town to see it and they were so impressed! The food and drinks in the cafe were delicious. I love that they cook meals with whatever they are growing in their garden at the time. The staff was incredibly friendly and more than happy to answer questions and show us around. The house and barn/event space are gorgeous! Great views from the property and flowers galore! This would be a dream wedding location. We stumbled upon sunflower farm for lunch last week we were on a bike ride (11 of us) and our usual stop for lunch in augusta was closed. Sunflower farm was the best alternative. I am absolutely in love with this place! This family-owned farm is a perfect getaway for any occasion. We spent Christmas on the farm and it was gorgeous. Dinner in the wine cellar was something out of a movie. The cafe had such great service and amazing coffee. They also have wine from all over the world! What a treat! The grounds are breathtaking and food so fresh you can taste every bit of nurture given to the lovely array of produce grown on-site. Chickens happily roamed around a modern mansion of a coop that has to be the envy of the avian world. To begin the process at Sunflower Hill Farm you meet with Carla who is the event coordinator. Upon arrival to the Farm , you are merely awe-struck and taken back by the beauty and serenity of the property. It is clearly visible that they have poured their hearts, sweat, and money into ensuring this property is spectacular. After touring the grounds it was clear to my now wife Amy and I that this is where we wanted to get married. Rob, the owner's son, and Carla the event coordinator were easy to get ahold of, and were very attentive to any concerns or suggestions that we proposed. For the catering, they have an exclusive agreement with Chef Lee, he will provide a sampling menu accompanied with a wine tasting to tailor to your reception. Amy and I chose a seated dinner, and had the chicken bruschetta. I have never had a better wedding meal in my life. The chicken cut like it was pulled pork. They also offer varying packages for hors d'oeuvres and accompanying sides for the meal. As the day went on, your mind is going a thousand miles a minute to soak up every memory, however one that Amy and I keep coming back to is just how friendly the staff members at the farm were. Every employee had a smile on their face and said congratulations, or offered to get anything that Amy and I asked for. The smiles or pleasantries were not forced, they were genuinely enjoying their work, and that for me made a memorable impression. To reiterate, the Sunflower Hill Farm has an amazing staff, most notable Rob (Karen's son, who helps with reception vendors, knows the grounds inside and out, helps with the logistics of running a smooth wedding), Carla the event coordinator, who was the main contact for contract questions, addendums, helps coordinate the tasting, and the final walk through of the venue. We also felt a close connection with Karen (the owner), as she was previously a nurse, just like Amy and I. It was all the little special connections, and hard work that made our wedding day quite literally the best day of our old lives and new lives. Just had lunch at the Cafe at Sunflower Hill Farm. Great spin on white bean chicken chili! The fennel was a great and unexpected addition. The server pointed out that they served Park Ave Coffee, so I had to get a latte and chocolate chip cookie to go...it was the perfect way to top off a hearty lunch! read more

This is a beautiful venue with excellent food and friendly people. They let you tour the farm, and I had the pleasure of meeting a few free-range chickens (I brought some eggs home!). I enjoyed the veggie garden, and sampled quite a few dishes from the cafe. Top notch!
