My sister just moved to the area and was looking for one close for her kiddos, and this was around the corner, so we decided to give it a try. To start, it was $10/person to get in, which wasn't really promoted. We've lived many different places and have never had to pay to get into a pumpkin patch, so that was a surprise. Kids were the same price, also a surprise. The property is pretty cool, they have some farm animals. They sold food to buy but half the animals you couldn't feed and the other half were already full from being fed so much. We assumed it was a regular petting zoo and bought some food before seeing it, so we ended up with leftover bags of food and no animals to feed. The hay ride only went once hourly so you basically had to wait around forever if you wanted to ride it. The maze was cool and the concept seemed really fun to find a message BUT the first word on the message was "God" and honestly, nowhere did they promote this farm as a religious-based experience. Lastly - the pumpkins. We came here for one reason. They don't even grow pumpkins on site, they ship them in, and they don't keep them stocked. I think we had like 20-30 pumpkins to choose from, if that, and they were picked over. We had a 4YO and a 6YO and they couldn't pick any of the pumpkins up, all the kid size ones were already sold. I feel like this could be a good spot for what it is, and if it was marketed as that - a Christian family fun farm experience. But, that's not what we had expected based on the marketing they had, so it was a bit of a disappointment for us.

The owner and staff were so kind and accommodating to our group. It was the perfect place to hold a trivia night on a cold day. The facilities were great and upon our arrival the tables were already set up and waiting. We cleaned up as we went along but the staff finished up any last minute clean up and we were all able to get out on time. The space is wonderful and the staff is top notch. This is a wonderful facility that is so much more intimate and personal than a huge gymnasium or church basement. Everyone had a great time. First impressions when arriving... wow, clean, organized and impressive details everywhere. The wedding service was performed here. Valley Farms had a nice outdoor area set up overlooking pastures. If the weather was bad there was an option to bring it inside. The main barn for the reception looked to have been built for receptions. Big enough to accommodate probably over 200 guests with room for DJ and a large head table. Prior to the reception, there was an outdoor bar with seating everywhere. Here the wedding had appetizers and cash bar. Only ding was the option for liquor, beers and wines. (Barefoot wines...not exactly high quality). They had a few animals out and a tractor hay ride (without hay) to take the wedding party out for pictures. A nice area for a bonfire once the sun went down and temps hit 50's which was a lot of fun. I don't have the cost, but in the wedding reception market, it's competitive but compare apples to apples. In the end, Valley Farms was very impressive in the setting, atmosphere they created for an outdoor, barn feel and everything looked brand new and well taken care of. It happened to be a chilly night so I was glad for the little venue selling hot chocolate and cappuccino. I spotted a diner, sports bar, church and market all within two blocks of each other. There were also two sand volleyball courts, and games continued until midnight. The idea of New Town and others like it is to be able to walk to any place you would need within a square mile.
