One of the best touches was receiving a complimentary wine glass with every drink, which made the experience even more memorable. The staff was welcoming, the vibes were chill, and the entire winery had such a warm and inviting feel. This is by far my favorite winery, and I can't wait to come back. Mind you we saw a sign that stated "You must be 21 years old to enter winery''. So of course we were going to just sit on the grounds away from the wine sells. However as soon as we walked up to the grounds, we were greeted by a very rude host saying we were not allowed on premises. Not even to sit and tale a few pictures. When we asked for the Manager he came over and tried to make it right and told us he would allow us to take pictures. But my family felt that after such a rude welcome that it left all of us with a bad experience so we decided to leave. After a 2 hout drive to come to this place for a bad experience, its not worth it. And I would say, please go somewhere else. Wouldn't want you all to deal with the same hassle and bad experience. We booked a reservation for dinner here tonight not realizing that you could not bring kids - sort of a bummer! Anyways, we ordered to go and the staff was very nice about it and allowed us to order some drinks while we waited. As we waited off to the side of the building, an employee came by and offered us a sample of their wine slushee just to be nice! The manager also came by and expressed their empathy towards not allowing kids and took care of us as well! Their hospitality was one to remember and although we couldn't eat there tonight, the service was 5 stars! We came to the winery for the festival and were very disappointed. The event was chaotic and not at all as advertised. They had promoted "kids galore activities," but in reality, there were very few. We waited over an hour in line for face painting, only to miss out on the character drawings because the line was already cut off by the time we finished. The bounce houses were advertised as "tons," but there were only two--and they were unsafe. Despite the sign saying "adult supervision required," there were no adults monitoring, and kids were jumping on top of the bounce houses and hurting others. I had to call security multiple times, and nothing was done. I even found myself stepping in to help because children were leaving in tears. There were no tables to sit at, even though there were many food trucks, and very few kid-friendly activities beyond the long lines. The hot air balloon "walk-through" never happened--there was only one balloon set up, and the rest didn't even start unloading until after 7. Overall, the event was poorly organized, unsafe, and very misleading compared to how it was advertised. Very disappointed with this experience. read more

I recently visited on a Saturday at noon with a big group of friends to celebrate a birthday. My friend had booked a table for the outdoor patio in advance, and there were about 14-ish of us total. Staff had us wait by the bar for about 30 minutes even though there seemed to be lots of open tables outside. We didn't mind waiting, but a little acknowledgment by staff or even an update as to how much longer would've gone a long way I think! When we were sat, they put us at two large round tables near each other. There's signs EVERYWHERE that say to not move tables, so it was a bit disappointing that our group was split up! I quickly realized after being sat that they were very short staffed. Our server was incredibly kind, positive, and accommodating, and I can't say enough great things about her. However, she seemed to have almost every table on the patio, and she was working HARD. My drink of choice for the afternoon was moscato. Perfectly delicious and sweet! Lots of people there ordered wine slushies. I had a sip of my friend's wine slushie and it was very refreshing, especially on a warm day. I get the hype! Food was disappointing. Everyone's food came out at around the same time which is always appreciated, except for two people in our group who ordered turkey melts. They had to wait quite a bit longer that everyone else. I'd say all the food seemed overpriced for what you get. I ordered the three cheese panini and subbed by side of chips for mac & cheese for an additional $4. I asked for no jalapeno ranch on my panini, but it was all over the bread when my meal came out. I felt so bad asking my slammed server, but it wasn't really something I could fix on my own. She was very sweet and apologetic about it, and she solved the issue right away. I think the best way to describe all the food I tried here is bland. Everyone in our group agreed. The mac & cheese somewhat reminded me of Bread Co. Wine? Highly recommend! Food? Can't exactly say the same. I've been to Cedar Lake sellers multiple times and I've enjoyed every visit. They have a huge private parking lot. There is paved paths to be able to go to any area, including the barrel room, the wine tasting/restaurant area, bathrooms, etc. The grounds are beautiful with a lake that has a fountain and swans, beautiful landscaping, and the restaurant is gorgeous inside with a fireplace. We were fortunate to have our server Serena take really good care of us on this visit. The food was very good and served hot. I ordered a cup of tomato soup and the grilled cheese Panini with Housemade chips. Everything was delicious. What I was most impressed by is that every staff member that I walked by, greeted me with a smile, and took a pause to have a conversation with me. Had an enjoyable experience this past weekend with a bachelorette party. The service was a little bumpy at first. The host gave conflicting information on whether we could pull tables together to accommodate our group of about 20. It seemed kind of petty and then they allowed us to just that. Our server did a great job managing our group. The wines were delicious. I had the rose and loved it! For dinner I had the salmon w garlic mashed potatoes. It was done really well. Made a reservation, but don't think it was necessary- there were a decent amount of other groups dining, but the property is so large it felt almost empty. We enjoyed our meal on the patio of the Dining Room, but it definitely seems like the event venue aspect of the business is prioritized over having a high-quality restaurant. We started with pineapple wine slushies, which were very sweet but still nice to sip on. I enjoyed the Honey Glazed Pork sandwich, decent amount of meat for the price. We asked for Mac & Cheese instead of the Coleslaw, but they ended up giving us it instead of the Chips. (No pickle spear either ) The Mac & Cheese had decent flavor, but was a bit water-y and was cold after a few bites. My mom had the French Toast Casserole off the brunch menu, and it was probably the best food item we ordered. Our server was extremely friendly, but it seemed understaffed because he had almost every table on the patio. The food portions were on the modest side, and the wine pours were a tad light at our table (not quite to the line on all three glasses). For a company event we were bussed over to Cedar Lake Cellers. A beautiful, sunny day, we were able to explore part of the grounds and stop for a photo op along the picturesque water feature. The Wine tasting was successful. Their team put together a great variety of wines and snacks for the tasting and we also received a delicious lunch. The creamy Mac and Cheese was some of the best I've ever tasted and the BBQ meats were a great pairing. Among the other food items, it was very balanced and filling. We had plenty for the 55 people attending. A big thanks to the team who were kind and attentive throughout the afternoon. The wine was delicious and affordable. October Fest 2023, I loved it. Parking was free which is always a plus. Ticket came with a free tumbler and drink . I chose spiked apple cider. Hot and delicious, just right for a rainy chilly day. Also had a blackberry peach Moscow Mule and a wine slushy. All delicious I might add. Ate hot dog and chips , pretzels bites and cheese , pork nachos and gooey butter cake . Each bite was delicious. Gorgeous place for a glass of wine and some live music! Came in yesterday when we had beautiful 70 degree overcast weather and it was the best decision. My friend and I did a wine tasting that was 2 tastes and included a take home wine glass for $4/person. Didn't think that was too bad. The place is absolutely enormous with like 3-4 large buildings each offering something different. There's so much land that you can explore as well and tons of beautiful benches lining the lake. Great spot to hang for awhile if the weather is nice. They even have a quick service spot where you can grab wine smoothies and nachos, snacks, etc. that I believe is open most of the day. Food trucks were available for food options and the winery sold mixed drinks, beer, wine slushies (my favorite) and of course their wonderful wines. My fav is Firetruck, a smooth sweet blend. The girl inside told me the sauvignon blanc was super good and she didn't lie, i loved it. My boyfriend's more of a dry wine guy so he got the 57' chevy which he liked a lot, he typically goes for cabernet. I also had a moscow mule and he had a beer, all which were great. I have never been to a winery in winter, so I decided to give it a go. Beautiful scenery with the snow on the lake and the fireplace warming us up inside. Very warming and inviting. I ordered a flight of wine with Pink Sunset, Almont Sparkle, and Mascoto. If you like sweet wines, these are perfect for you. The Almond Sparkle was my favorite. I also ordered broccoli cheddar soup and a ceasar salad. The soup was hot and tasty, and the ceasar salad wasn't anything special. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. They charged $75 for a lantern and promised they'd clean up after the Night Lights event, yet surrounding business owners woke up to said-lanterns covering their fields, leaving those landowners to clean them up. Many farm animals were trying to eat them and the lanterns are spooking horses. Not to mention that the release of lanterns into the sky is illegal in Missouri. We haven't heard from the owners. Gorgeous views of the small lake, tons of wine and drink options, and even some really great food options (Sugar Fire!). They have some adorable places to do photo ops too. She assigned Libbye and Luke to our group and they were both very nice and helpful. We originally agreed on the boat dock but the swans decided to nest right there. We had chicken, shank rib raviolis, and prime rib. The veggies were rubbery, the rice was sticky and the chicken was very dry. The food was not freshly cooked other than the steak. It seemed like the food was warmed up in the microwave. I find this rather disappointing because the Resturant, grounds, and lake are beautiful. The service was excellent, but the food was lackluster. Please spend the time and effort to use fresh foods and quality check the food, especially for the price. We went to this place for the night light festival on Saturday 10/19. You can buy priority tickets for an additional 20.00 per ticket it says you get 15 percent off of merch..and more...I assumed that meant off of the food and the merchandise.. and we would be at the lines...well it was only 15 percent off for clothes.. hoodies ...shirts ....stuffed animal ...and that was it ...I didn't get anything off for my s'mores kit or fire pit or any of my food and the priority line was longer than the regular lines. Were in Innsbrook/Wright City for the week and knew there wasn't much to do in the area with Covid (go to Big Joel's safari!!) and drove up to this GORGEOUS winery. The space was pristine, there was ample parking, they even had a wedding that evening and the location was open for us. We tried the three different wine flights and bought pretzel bites. But it was Samantha our bartender that made it fun and enjoyable. We were unsure about being inside for the tasting but felt okay because there was continuous airflow that you could feel, and she was behind the bar. We went to Cedar Lake sellers for their bonfire Smore's evening. It was a lot of fun. I would recommend that they expand the amount of firewood available and work a little more quickly to replenish the fire pits. Overall the place was very, very nice. They had a cute little wedding going on in a private area and we would've played wine bingo but it was sold out. We ate food from the outside food area and it was absolutely terrific.
