Came to Piazza for their Mother's Day celebration featuring catering from Russo's catering. The location is beyond beautiful! It has so much space and so many picture perfect areas for any special event. Plenty of parking in their lot out front. I love that they have a large patio area as well as a pond area where you can take some amazing pictures. This event was well organized. The food was very tasty and service was fast and efficient! My daughter's treated me and their Nana to Mother's Day brunch here. I was amazed at how beautiful the venue is. The grounds are amazing with the lake view and fire pit areas. They also have a perfect spot for a wedding. The buffet had a variety of food options that were all delicious. They had something for everyone. There were floral centerpieces on the table and a mimosa set up for an additional fee. Later they brought out the dessert tray and gave each of us a rose that was a nice touch. Everything was nicely organized and you have a 1 1/2 time limit. After your meal you can take a photo on the patio with the back drop or at the Photo Booth. There was also a live band playing. In October 2025 we had our BEST DAY EVER! The venue was beautiful and just what we were looking for; elegant, well kept, and were able to bundle pre-wedding hosting at the bridal cottage and grooms loft with the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Communication was definitely there during the planning which was amazing. They offered food tasting on a specific day each month which was helpful, though it mainly had items we weren't interested in serving. The catering included the cake so we -bought- the cake taster tray at the event, as they only offered one flavor to try. There was a minimum dollar amount, we had a smaller wedding (70 guests) so therefore we added on extras to make it so much more special and to hit the minimum dollar amount. The extras we added on were the upgraded passed appetizers, inside and outside bar, fire pits, assorted cookie bar, upgraded meals including salmon and steak, and two kinds of dips for late night snacks. I've been hesitant to review because it wasn't what I expected, though my guests were impressed. The day of the wedding it rained-no big deal. We were able to do pictures inside, though when it came to any kind of availability, we couldn't find many staff members except one guy setting up. Everything was arranged as I asked, beautifully, though staff members were scarce. We chose to also have the bar open pre-ceremony to have our guests comfortable with a drink in hand. After the ceremony we had the cocktail hour continue with the passed appetizers. The ones we looked forward to the most (Beef Wellington) were barely passed out in addition to the staff neglecting to pass them to us, the bride and groom. They did set a plate at our table with two of each appetizer so we could try after social hour but they were not good by the time we got to them. Next was salad, rolls, and then our entrees. Not everyone got rolls, though the guests raved about the food. The night carried on and I noticed more flaws- fire pits were out but not lit, the outside bar was indeed not opened and when my MOH asked they said they would have to shut down the inside bar to have the same bartender tend outside. What? When it came to the dance floor, the dj had asked us about staff to clear more of a space with the tables and no one could be found to help so the dance floor stayed limited. The cookies and dips at "late hour" were mediocre unfortunately, but not upset they were included. Prior to our wedding date they said if we wanted to include gratuity, it must be done prior. That's ironic. Overall the venue and event was worth it, and it still was the best day ever, though over $16k for one day felt excessive with promises not fulfilled. read more

I have visited Piazza Messina 2 years in a row now for two different celebrations of life. If we're going to have to keep celebrating life... You know, to say goodbye... This is where I think we should do it. It's a beautiful place inside and out. It's architecturally interesting. There's a spiral staircase leading to the area where groomsmen get ready. The outdoor space is attractive and probably fun for kids because there's a pond and first time I was there I saw some waterfowl. The food is catered by Russo's was fantastic both times and I am a picky vegetarian I still eat plenty. There is plenty of space whether the big room is split into two rooms or combined into one. On a beautiful day... with kids in tow- this was fabulous place to visit with out-of-town family. The covered patio had both hanging lights and translucent sky lights. The band was nice and the kids out on a improve show (kids were patrons celebrating a 1st birthday party). Other birthday parties celebrations too k here. The restaurant seems will suited for people of all ages to celebrate. The salad was fresh and well put together. Having both the brunch menu and a lunch menu made everyone very happy. Once I carried my tea to the table, I got a text message my salad was ready to pick up. I had to order at the bar and pick-up ourselves, but a buzzer cleared our table when we went inside. I had attended a wedding at Piazza Messina! It's actually a pretty small venue but can fit quite a bit. My family's wedding I attended was 300 people and I believe that was the max to have. They wanted to invite more friends and family but had to limit their invites. The venue is big enough for people to be inside and out but not for all 300 people to be on the dance floor....if that was the case. I think it would be way too small. I know this place is known for weddings, but I was invited here for their Sunday brunch. It was way better than I could have expected. When you walk In, you'll see indoor seating and outdoor seating. You order at the bar including your food and then they text you when it's ready. I thought that was a little strange for a brunch. The food....very very very good! I had a ham and cheese omelet, hash browns and a biscuit. I ordered a side of sausage gravy on the side so I could have biscuits and gravy too! The mimosa bucket is a better deal. I had my bridal shower at Piazzza Messina on July 18, 2026. It was an amazing celebration by staff & all family that attended! We loved it so much, this was a vendor we had considered for our wedding date & we also knew the boss personally. Unfortunately, during my shower, there was a wedding scheduled, and we had several bridesmaids/members from the wedding walking through our room while I was opening gifts/getting pictures to get through to another room/bridal or groom suite. They apologized but also laughed at the concept and this just seemed extremely unprofessional on Piazza's end. This was very rude & several of my family members commented on this. This just emphasized to us why we did not choose this venue for our wedding and we are glad we didn't! The staff and food was amazing, but we are so disappointed that no one addressed the wedding party walking throughout our bridal shower room that WE PAID FOR. A nice place to spend an hour or so with friends on a Sunday afternoon. We met our friends here after looking for a place to catch up with them, as we are both getting to head out on vacations to opposite sides of the world. Finding a quiet place out of the wind was challenging, as we tried no less than 4 places! Finally settling on a high top by the bar around the corner from the band. As with most places, the music is far too loud to be able to enjoy conversation. Luckily for us though, the band was finishing their last set, and the ability to have quiet conversation soon returned. Service is, order and pick up at the bar, and being later in the day, some selections were sold out. My wife's second choice was the Toasted Raviolis, and I had a flatbread pizza with meats. Both were generous in size and very good. A couple of glasses of the sangria was just the right amount for an early dinner for us. They stop serving at 4pm and we finished up and headed home by 4:15. They can get really busy, so plan ahead if you want to go, as the Cottleville area has become somewhat of a destination to go to as of late. read more

Had a group of friends (15) come to see one of our favorite bands - Scott and Karl. The acoustics are incredibly bad for this type of venue. That was rather disappointing. Prior to Scott and Karl beginning, the room was extremely loud just because of people talking. However, they have a very nice lunch menu. Some of the menu "closes" at 1, but other remains available all afternoon. There is no table service. In order to get anything off the menu, you need to go up to the "bar" and order it and pick it up when it's ready. Generally though, was a nice time. read more

We got married here 2 months ago. I emailed them multiple times about issues with staff. We also paid for 3 hours of open premium and at our reception we were refused premium drinks. The bartender had zero personality, and she acted like she didn't want to be there. After our ceremony I asked for a Chardonnay and was refused. She told me it was only champagne and vodka. Well, as the bride, I know what we paid for... I looked for our "Wedding Planner" and I was not able to find her. My photographer said she was on the patio with other couples discussing another event. When I walked out to chat she was nowhere to be found. Needless to say, the wedding planner couldn't be bothered. She didn't do much at our wedding & our reception. Brenna wasn't there to direct anything during our reception. We had to decide when it was time to cut the cake and when it was time eat. I was told this would be done for us. Just some undue pressure on our wedding day. We did not let these few bad things ruin our day. I am still waiting for a response regarding the emails I sent the owner about these issues over 6 weeks ago. Now that, that is out. Let's talk about the good stuff! The food was amazing as well as the staff serving food! I highly recommend the food! Our guests were very pleased with the quality and quantity of all of it! We got married at 10 am and after the ceremony we did a few pics while guests had hors d'oeuvres. The owner was nice and helpful. The food was delicious, the servers and bartenders were great. However, DO NOT USE BRENNA as your event coordinator. She promised us everything we wanted for the wedding. Then on the day of the event she worked on her time schedule. She told us that on the day of the wedding she would arrive at 8:00 AM. She arrived at 2:00PM!Then left at 5:30 when the wedding ceremony started. NOT ONCE did she notify the bride's parents of HER changed agenda. A storm came through, so Brenna was asked if the happy hour and hors d'oeuvres could be served prior to the ceremony because the weather was predicted to improve within the hour. We offered additional money. Brenna said "NO because all your guest will be drunk during the ceremony " I then watched her slam out our table decorations, some of which she didn't put out. The left over food was sent to in Brenna's words "corporate" A waiver was signed by the bride to have the food packed up and given to the family. There are many more complaints. Do not work with Brenna!!! She will ruin your wedding. read more

First place I went since quarantine began. Only place I felt super safe. Staff was all wearing masks and spread out, lots of space to keep your distance from people while feeling safe.
