At literally 25% of the costs of the other venue we were looking at, you CANNOT do better than Ruth and Stone House. Not only do you get a great venue and day of coordinator in Ruth, you also get a DJ and a treasure trove of items to use on your big day like lanterns and garlands. Using her items vs. buying your own, helps alleviate some of the issues with finding homes for 50 black lanterns later. The venue itself is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous. Its great high ceilings and woodwork will make for a super unique venue that will make your day unforgettable. I cannot tell you how many people have told us how beautiful the venue was afterwards. We had a few special things we wanted to do for our guests like putting hand written name cards out at their seats and play a few jokes on our friends. We had asked volunteers to come help us do all of this, but Ruth and her staff was already on top of it and took care of everything and beyond. Ruth even helped our jokes by writing some Chinese on our seating chart. Ruth was super communicative throughout the entire process, making herself available both via email and texts, never taking longer than 24 hours to respond. We had our ceremony inside and her staff was able to flip the interior in no time, making the transition from ceremony to reception seamless. We literally cannot sing her praises enough.

You have to provide your own person to marry you. It says it only holds 50 to 55 people, but I packed more in than that! The dressing room for the girl is really a bathroom and can only fit you and maybe two others (trust me you don't want more than that anyway!). The boys room has a door to the outside, so they don't have to wait inside there forever. They even have adjustable lighting! This is a perfect spot to have a small intimate wedding!

For those of you who aren't beach experts like me, Seaside was the site for the movie The Truman Show. While New Town is a bit too cookie-cutter perfect (some people were saying eerie), the Italian-style bridges, the fountained lakes and the stone cutouts for bonfires are nothing less than charming. It happened to be a chilly night so I was glad for the little venue selling hot chocolate and cappuccino. I spotted a diner, sports bar, church and market all within two blocks of each other. There were also two sand volleyball courts, and games continued until midnight. The idea of New Town and others like it is to be able to walk to any place you would need within a square mile. We wanted to be married on a particular Monday and Dr. Martin was able to accommodate us. We brought 2 friends who served as witnesses. The venue was perfect. I wish I had recorded the words Dr Martin spoke. It was absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend Dr Martin. So easy to plan our wedding and it was exactly what we wanted.
