The outside ceremony overlooks the bluff and the river, and the inside has tall ceilings with glass windows, a gorgeous arbor, and can be candlelit all the way down the aisle. The outside is breathtaking and the inside is romantic and traditional. Something for everyone! The reception ball room is gorgeous too. They have so many extra amenities that they offer at no additional cost. From the event planning team, Toni and Tonya, to the serving and event staff they were absolutely professional and made our day run so smoothly. I felt at complete ease with them. It's a small white old looking building with a partial gravel lot, part paved. If you are looking for a nostalgic place to hold a reception with a great sized dance floor, a stage, plenty of room to have tables around the perimeter of the dancer floor... Check this place out! I thought the way they did the buffet was brilliant! The bar is down 5-6 step on a lower level. So while you are on the main level the crowd works its way down the stairs, to the buffet to get their food and grab a drink and then head up the other staircase on the other side of the room. Seamless flow and unless you are behind someone who just can't decide on the roast beer or chicken... there are no hold ups in line! I think this venue would also be great for parties in general! Whether its for line dancing, a Zumba event, or just to have a fun party with a band! The basement bar is full of old Anheuser-Busch memorabilia and the bartender gave us quite the history of its location and how many famous people have visited there. My guess because of its "nostalgia" look... it might not be for all... but my guess is, its not expensive to rent out. Couldn't get a beat even though there was no music on. But can you count one-and-two, three-and-four? This is not a stretch of the phrase rocket science in any sense of its meaning! I was so spent (and sweaty) after the one-hour lesson that I couldn't stay for the open dance. I was actually pissed (have to balance that with a pissy day) about the beginner dance lesson. We didn't rotate partners. YOU NEED TO DO THAT. If you get a slower partner for a while, you can persevere. If the teachers don't have you rotate, you're stuck for the entire hour. Nuff said.

I see they do have a shuttle but not sure how often it runs. Beautiful resturant with a nice selection of wine. We sat inside which was nice because it was humid outside. Unfortunately the flies were very worsom especially when trying to eat. That didn't stop us from having a good time though. Staff was very catering and attentive. I ordered a caesar salad with salmon which was cooked very well. The food was delicious as well as the wine. I ordered the wine flight with 3 pours. The personal touches that the venue allowed were also wonderful - from crafting a signature drink to writing "it's a boy!" on each dessert plate with the cake. The venue had 3 main areas, 2 of which we used - one for lunch using large round tables of 10 (very comfortable, even with a wine glass, water glass, tea glass, bread plate, and charger) and the other for unwrapping gifts that had multiple couches and chairs and the most gorgeous stained glass windows. Had it been a nicer day we would have enjoyed the patio area. It looked gorgeous and overlooked the golf course with a view of the fountain. Parking was a breeze. I would absolutely recommend this venue for a small to medium sized event. We had about 40 guests at the baby shower. Everything was top notch.

My wife and I went with a all Norton grape flight ($12), consisting of Unoaked Norton, Norton, Owner's Reserve Norton, and Estate Vineyard Norton. Looking back, it would have made more sense to try a larger variety, but I initially wanted to focus on the grapes that are the most popular in this area. The wine did go good with the food ordered, including a good St. Louis style meat pizza ($22), and a hummus tray ($12). Sadly, my friend later told me this had been the one attempt of St. Louis style pizza during our 3 day stay, which if I had known, would have made me get a different meal so I could try another one of the iconic pizza places around the St. Louis area. Noboleis was started with the purchase of the 84 acre property in 2005, and bottled their first wines in 2009. It is still family owned and operated today, with the name being a blend of the three families involved in its creation.

The horses were really well behaved, we rode Jack and Sarge and overall it was a great time. Jim was super friendly if not borderline eccentric (in fun way). The price was a bit higher than other places we were looking at, it was about $50 per person for an hour trail ride, I was seeing others around $35, but this was the only place that was opened early in the week. You can also pay using credit card, but know that there is a 3% fee that goes along with it, but I'd rather do that than carry $100 in cash on me. Overall everyone there was super helpful and great, wouldn't hesitate to come back.

I was extremely disappointed in the way things were handled regarding my attempt to book this venue…read morefor my November 2026 reception. My mom had an initial conversation with Brian then, same day, my fiancé and I had a conversation with Brian (without his wife) to specify inclusions. I told him we can pay cash (at the time $6500 which included venue, food, dessert, alcohol & DJ) and could pay it that day and he said I don't make any booking decisions without my wife-- fair, I get it no issues. They called me back, affirmed the things we discussed, the inclusions, everything. But said they wouldn't get the contract to us until after Memorial Day. Then, all of us-- my mom, my fiance, myself and both owners had a conversation where the $6500 was increased to $7500 because they insisted alcohol wasn't included in the original quote (2 beers, 2 wines and 2 signature cocktails). So we conceded and agreed on the $7500. Then they insisted they never promised a DJ in the original conversation, so again we conceded and agreed we would find our own and repeatedly confirmed $7500 cash, no taxes and no mention of any other fees. When the owner texted me at 10 PM CST (I live in Colorado so the text reflects 9pm mountain time) to ask if I received the contract I told her yes, however the contract doesn't reflect the amount we confirmed in the phone earlier that day. (It was $650 MORE) She didn't take responsibility for the bait and switch and was unwilling to make it right. When I called her husband to let him know that due to the mistrust we would be booking elsewhere he was extremely apologetic and insisted that the $650 his wife claimed we had to pay in addition to the original quote was actually INCLUDED in the quote and that his wife was mistaken. The level of disorganization & miscommunications going on here left me with the feeling of what possible issues we might have in the coming months if the owners can't even get on the same page. When I texted the wife that we would be taking our money elsewhere she said "We hope you somehow find a way to gather and celebrate the joyous occasion together in a more cost effective way. Maybe a park, or relatives home, etc..." which was incredibly rude and insulting considering money was actually no object in this scenario but rather the lack of organization, trust, and transparency in addition to the bait and switching about the overall cost. Bottom line: The husband is the one with the empathy, the people skills and the ability to apologize and attempt to make things right without insulting the client. However the person that any future clients will have to deal with is his wife who unfortunately didn't show the same level of care, empathy, and apologetic demeanor as her husband. One final thing to note-- the contract that was sent was filled out by hand and was hardly legible with all the scratching out as I have attached below. And my issue wasn't that gratuity needed to be paid or a security deposit needed to be paid, I understand those are customary in these sorts of processes. The problem was NON-DISCLOSURE until the contracting. It was the disorganization. The inability to recognize when they're wrong and unwillingness to make it right. So what was supposed to be $6500 originally got a 25% increase in fees over the course of negotiations and contracting. Overall I'm sure this venue can really be remarkable and looks beautiful from the pictures. However, my experience is a testament that there seems to be a pattern with disorganization, miscommunication etc. If there were more streamlined processes, a method for sending a contract so it's not filled in by hand, and a sales person in there who can reach out to clients at reasonable hours (not 10 pm cst) and who clearly communicate the accurate pricing from the beginning and even if there is a mistake, they can own it and not insult the client in the process and suggest we "couldn't afford" them, then this could really be a phenomenal venue. But as it stands I would strongly urge you to look elsewhere.
