We came here for a wedding and it exceeded every expectation…read more For the past couple of years I've skipped destination weddings. I have a four-year-old and a two-year-old so it didn't seem really feasible to bring them and my husband definitely didn't want me to leave them. I decided this was the year we would travel. Our majority of travel is to different Disney resorts, so we are pretty well-versed in hotel rooms. This beats them hands down. First, this place is VERY family friendly. We stayed in a Boxcar room and it was perfect. There was a bedroom separate from a living room. In the living room there was a small kitchen that even had a dishwasher and microwave. I realized in our room they even had children's plates and utensils that were unbreakable. Can I point out how rare it is for a room to have a microwave? Mini fridge, yes, but I always found it ridiculous that I could easily keep my food cold, but can't heat it up. I loved having a microwave. The tv connects to Disney plus, Netflix and Hulu. Disney plus was all we needed to keep our kids happy. The AC was easily adjustable and there was one in the front room and the bedroom. Then let's talk about the Landing Hub itself. It is super cute and you can tell the owners poured love into it. There are little booklets everywhere that tell you about the decor and the meaning behind it. In the main communal area there is a pool table, ping pong and tons of trucks/legos. We spent over an hour with the boys playing with the toys every morning. They threw a fit when we made the leave to go to the zoo and Cardinals game on different days. It was pretty relaxing just sitting enjoying coffee while they played around our feet. They're pretty rambunctious kids so having all that space was very helpful. The Landing Hub also has a table with information about nearby attractions. My kids love Monster Trucks so thanks to the table (and information from the owner) we learned that Bigfoot is less than 10 minutes away! We stopped by on our last day and met the driver. That was a fun surprise. My son says that was his favorite part of the trip. We were here for a wedding, which was a ton of fun. We knew everyone we ran into was there for the wedding so it was like one big family reunion. I didn't really know anyone other than the bride, since we are friends from over 10 years ago, so it was great knowing immediately that anyone I ran into was there for the wedding. That was such a fun part of the wedding. Then the wedding itself was beautiful. They set up the ceremony on the patio and the reception was both inside the communal area and outside. This place is only 35 minutes from tons of fun kids things like the STL zoo, Grants Farm, Magic House and the Science Center. I did look up hotel rooms in the city to try to decide if we wanted to stay downtown some nights. A double queen was comparable in price to the suite we got (with much less space) and downtown you have to pay for parking. Although driving in I was a little nervous, I felt very safe the entire time we were here. The only downside is there aren't many food places close by, but we would grab food when we were in STL and bring it back, since it was so easy to refrigerate and heat back up. The owner is super nice. She gave my kids some Bigfoot memorabilia (which I think has now started their obsession with Bigfoot). I love supporting small businesses. If you're thinking about staying here, just do it. You won't regret it. It's also super clean. The owner loves checklists (I saw her checklists all over the place) and the one for cleaning is super comprehensive. Seriously cleaner than my house even.

We immediately scheduled a tour as this is one of the most beautiful and affordable venues in the area. The tour was fabulous and the staff answered all of our tedious questions. The booking process was seamless and the contracts were informative and straightforward. With our wedding date less than a year away, my mom, now husband, maid of honor, and I scheduled a decor trial every month. Not once did the staff make me feel like I was being over bearing or crazy with how many times I changed our table layouts. My husband accidentally broke a glass vase and even then, the staff was understanding and did not make us feel like we should not have been there. Rebecca was amazing when we set up the bar and lines. There was not a single question that went unanswered. Anytime I sent an email, I typically had a response within an hour. We were able to change the card on file not once, but twice. They also let us change the table layout the week of the wedding due to last minute guest cancellations. I mainly interact with Rebecca and Kristin and every experience was nothing short of lovely. The day of the wedding, I had absolutely no stress thanks to Kristin and her team. With the help of my family, the reception and ceremony space was set up in no time and it was perfect. During our trip around the site for pictures, Kristin was amazing at finding us the best spots and keeping us on schedule. Not a single guest complained and everything was more than perfect. I am genuinely so glad that I found Haue Valley. My wedding day was even more than I could have dreamed of and I recommend Haue Valley to anyone who asks me about wedding venues. There was not a single hidden fee, the staff is lovely, they are transparent about every single price and potential charge, the wedding party suites are fabulous, they have so many amazing suggestions, the grounds are gorgeous, and the borrowed decor room is to die for. Thank you Haue Valley for hosting a day that I will never forget. It was truly the best day ever!

I arrived a few minutes before the start of a wedding and a staff member alerted me that the ceremony was about to begin and she was able to discreetly lead me in the back. That was so appreciated! My first impression was that my eyes were drawn upward to the high ceilings and noticing all of the natural light, that even on the cloudiest day, pours in. While it is spacious, at this event, there was still an element of coziness. I noticed a lot of people taking photos in front of the tall Christmas tree in the back of the room. The establishment was ultra-clean, tastefully decorated, had mood lighting, and the staff was phenomenal. The bartenders were the best! The cocktails were perfectly made. I thought it was a nice touch that in the women's bathroom there were toiletries available. Highly recommended!

I can't begin to explain what a great spot this is!…read more It is dog friendly, it is wide open and beautiful, it has lots of live music, it is run by a family that is so very nice, and it is super affordable and tastes great! You can get a flight of wines for $5 or a glass of wine or a pint of beer for $5 each. You can even do a tour and tasting for $10. Plus, all the bottles are pretty much under $25. And they have quite a large variety of whites, reds, and roses too. Cindy, one of the owners, is so very friendly and helpful. She will go through an entire tasting with you with the highest level of patience, allowing you to taste and try anything you'd like to. Her brother-in-law also Is a gem, he himself Popsicles to all of the kids running around and let them ride on the tractor or explore into the garden. Would highly recommend if you are in the area!

Arthur was the live music for the day and he played a great variety of songs (acoustic guitar). The wine is fantastic. I do not know a lot about wine, but I do know that each one we tasted (6) was very easy to drink. We shared a bottle there and I brought 2 home. Bonus: you can bring your own snacks (no beverages). I love this. I enjoy planning my own winery snacks. I was bummed when many wineries quit allowing food because they opened kitchens. So if I have to pay $30+ for food. I'm buying less wine. Anywaaaay, make a little weekend out of visiting this area and have a lovely time at Edg Clif. (Photos do not do it justice)
