I was throwing a bash at my parent's house and needed someone to outfit me with facilities. The name in town that I knew was Weinhardt Party Rentals. But they were booked through the end of the year. Uh oh. Universal Rentals came through with a tent, lighting, heaters, a dance floor, plates & glasses. I really had no clue what I was doing until they took me through everything. Getting ready for the party was painless with their help. We even made changes up to the date of the event. Their store is kind of dingy and not near as elegant as Weinhardt's. But they'll bring anything up from the back that you want to look at. The installation guys that came to set up and take down my tent were the best. The lead guy's name was Marcus. After the whole tent & dance floor were set up, he realize that the floor was a little off center and spent an extra hour correcting his mistake. Cool. read more

We rented tables and chairs a year ago from them and Tom was great to work with. Last week, I called and scheduled tables and chairs for Saturday to use for a lunch following a funeral for my father in law. Tom was out of town but his brother Tim took the info and assured me they would deliver the tables on Friday morning at 9 am. Around mid-day Friday through Saturday morning, I called the office and the number on the website. No show and no return call to my many messages. I am still absolutely floored by this complete failure on their part. Fortunately, we were able to find another local company who had tables and chairs in stock - although we had to go pick them up (2 hours before the funeral so lots of unnecessary stress!) For a corporate teambuilding event, I organized an Iron Chef BBQ Challenge for 30 participants. The list of items necessary to set up six BBQ "stadiums" was diverse and extensive; compound that with the need to have everything delivered, set up and torn down. I was less than convinced that I would find a Single Source to fulfill this. Until I met Tom and the men at Universal Rentals! Every cooler, grill, table and chair was available. Everything right down to the pots and grilling utensils. Not only did I find a single source, but the Service and Quality of the employees was over the top!
