Universal Rentals was so smooth and easy to work with! They were easily reachable and friendly by phone to order (and modify the order); their delivery team was on time and helpful; the rentals were clean and in great condition... I can't say enough about how easy Universal Rentals made our event rental, and I look forward to using them again. read more

One of the best services. I have been a customer for decades. Highly professional, helpful and easy to work with.

I was throwing a bash at my parent's house and needed someone to outfit me with facilities. The name in town that I knew was Weinhardt Party Rentals. But they were booked through the end of the year. Uh oh. Universal Rentals came through with a tent, lighting, heaters, a dance floor, plates & glasses. I really had no clue what I was doing until they took me through everything. Getting ready for the party was painless with their help. We even made changes up to the date of the event. Their store is kind of dingy and not near as elegant as Weinhardt's. But they'll bring anything up from the back that you want to look at. The installation guys that came to set up and take down my tent were the best. The lead guy's name was Marcus. After the whole tent & dance floor were set up, he realize that the floor was a little off center and spent an extra hour correcting his mistake. Cool. read more

I have used Universal Rentals for dozens of large fundraising events for the National MS Society over the past 10+ years. Tom and his staff are always on time and have even made last minute changes due to bad weather. Always professional and have even helped out in areas that they were not contracted to do. If you need a great event partner, call Tom and his team at Universal Rental. Randy Adler Senior Logistics Coordinator National MS Society - Gateway Area Chapter read more

We used 'I need a Tent DBA Universal Rentals' for my mom's surprise 70th birthday party! They were a referral from party planner, Tammi Moore, who worked on The Thread STL TV show. Tom, at Universal, was easy to communicate to and we quickly set up an initial agreement. After the RSVPs started rolling in, we needed more tables and they were flexible to adjust the agreement. We even had some last minute tweaking and they made it right and just what Tammi and I envisioned! I was very grateful and best of all mom was happy and surprised! Thank you, Universal, for being flexible, responded to last minute needs and helping make the day PERFECT! read more

We rented tables and chairs a year ago from them and Tom was great to work with. Last week, I called and scheduled tables and chairs for Saturday to use for a lunch following a funeral for my father in law. Tom was out of town but his brother Tim took the info and assured me they would deliver the tables on Friday morning at 9 am. Around mid-day Friday through Saturday morning, I called the office and the number on the website. No show and no return call to my many messages. I am still absolutely floored by this complete failure on their part. Fortunately, we were able to find another local company who had tables and chairs in stock - although we had to go pick them up (2 hours before the funeral so lots of unnecessary stress!) I won't be using them again - in this business reliability has to be the most important characteristic! read more

I was moving to a new place and needed a Uhaul. I found Universal Rentals online. The rental was easy to reserve, check in was painless and Tom was very friendly! He helped us to set up the truck and even included packing pads and a dolly! I was able to drop the keys in the night box and everything went smoothly. Will definitely recommend them and rent from them in the future! Thank you! read more

I had a party this summer and rented a 20×20 tent and some tables and chairs. Everything was covered in dirt! I ended up cleaning eveything myself. When I complained the guy-Tim or Tom gave me hard time and was very rude. They just lost business! read more

I had a last minute rental need for a public event and was worried about finding someone- Universal Rental was the first place I called, as it was highly recommended by someone I know. For a corporate teambuilding event, I organized an Iron Chef BBQ Challenge for 30 participants. The list of items necessary to set up six BBQ "stadiums" was diverse and extensive; compound that with the need to have everything delivered, set up and torn down. I was less than convinced that I would find a Single Source to fulfill this. Until I met Tom and the men at Universal Rentals! Every cooler, grill, table and chair was available. Everything right down to the pots and grilling utensils. Not only did I find a single source, but the Service and Quality of the employees was over the top! Everyone had a great time at the event and it's success was do in large part to the service provided by Universal Rentals! I am sincerely grateful to the good people there and Highly recommend them! read more

I made a last-minute truck rental with Universal. Where the UHaul app failed to complete my rental transaction...Tom from Universal made it happen. Then when I left my cell phone in the truck, they secured it until I could pick it up. Tom was polite and personable. read more

Excellent customer service. The online Uhaul reservation system accidentally sent me here to pick up a truck, that ended up not being available. The gentleman there dropped what he was doing to call around to other locations and secure me a truck. Much appreciated read more
