The service man showed up and seemed confused when I showed him the repair to be made. He kept looking at his clipboard and then denied the product was under warranty (I later received reaffirmation that Whirlpool was covering this). I left to get something and when I came back, he was playing loud music on his phone. I had to ask him twice to turn it off. He then told me he was on the phone with someone. Awful experience. I didn't know what he was supposed to do so I asked him to leave. He did nothing but waste time.

I don't know her last name, probably would be weird if I did, but she almost always knows exactly what to recommend and if she's not sure she'll be the first to admit it. As a business owner and contractor, it's the small things that help me be successful, and Amber is one of those things that helps my business be successful. The rest of the staff is also equally as nice, and very knowledgeable, the store is kept clean, fair prices, and things are well laid out to where it's usually fairly easy to find what you're looking for.

Here's my story: In April I decided to go with Home Depot to install an entry door and a screen door. I picked out what I wanted and since my door was an abnormal size it had to be made in the factory which is understandable. I was told it would take 4 weeks to come in and it did. When the contractor came to install the doors the entry door had a dent in it. It had to go back and a new one made and wait another 4 weeks. The doors finally got installed at the end of June. After the gentlemen that installed the doors left (they were fantastic by the way) and I was cleaning the glass on the storm door I noticed a small 1/4 crack in the glass. I immediately called the installer who relayed it to Home Depot. He was told that I needed to call Home Depot, which I did immediately. I was told a note was made and that someone would be in contact with me to let me know how they were going to resolve the issue (either replace the pane of glass or the whole door). No one called. I called back a couple of days later and apparently the expediter, Karen, was going to have the whole door replaced but had to order it. The employee couldn't even give me an idea as to when the door would come in. I heard nothing in over 2 weeks so I stopped in to the store to follow up. I talked to an employee named Scott (he is also fantastic) who put a note in the system to have Karen call me. While I was there I noticed that they had the storm door I need in stock! What the heck have I been waiting on?? Anyway, once again Karen drops the ball and doesn't call, I have to call back 2 days later. NOW she tells me that they have the door in stock (no kidding Einstein) and that the installer should be calling to schedule a time to replace the door. What a nightmare. I wish I would have went to Lowe's instead, I had them replace a garage door not long ago and they were fabulous. Basically it boils down to the lack of communication from Home Depot.

They identified a faulty spark plug and replaced it for $9 in addition to charging me a $50 Spring maintenance fee (they did sharpen the blade). Took it home and it did not start. Took it back. Evidently, they made some adjustments which they did not tell me about - they adjusted the throttle on the mower handle along with the pull cord. The pull cord was very loose, but they told that was okay. It was not loose when I took it in. Brought mower home again and used it twice. Both times it barely started. The third time, the pull cord came completely out. The person with "special fingers" as he called himself, has successfully ruined my lawnmower.

But at the counter when we described the problem he wanted to look at it to make sure it was even worth it before taking our deposit. He tried several times to start it and looked it over. I decided to purchase 90 days same as cash a little scratch and dent number at a decent price that would be just fine for a few months and then we could utilize it in our finished basement apartment or gift it to one of our children if needed. They went out of their way to deliver that to me in a speedy fashion as they knew I was desperate and I really appreciate this top notch service. I would recommend them as I'm not sure people even consider this as an option sometimes.
