Doing some deck repair and went for some treated lumber and some joist hangers, etc. Went right after the storms passed over and there was almost no one in the store, very nice when you are trying to pick out lumber. Had a good selection of the 2x10 and 2x12 lumber that I needed. It was mostly dry which is a plus when you are buying treated lumber as it doesn't tend to warp as bad if it is dry when you buy it. Store was organized and clean and the checkout person was friendly and pleasant. No issues or concerns on this trip! read more

Shar was working the Customer Service desk at the Home Depot in Arnold, MO this morning. Good thing for me! My wife and I had gone there to pick up a glass shower door which we had purchased online. It must weigh 150 pounds. When they brought it out from the store room, the shipping box had significant damage, and Shar suggested that we inspect the product before we took it home. It turned out that the shower door was okay. Then Shar not only called for assistance to help us load the door on our truck, she also let us use a roll of tape to re-seal the box while she went looking for an appropriate dolly to transport the item. Finally, I was so concerned about the possibility of damage to the shower door that I had forgotten about another item I had purchased. But Shar remembered, and brought the item to me while we were loading the shower door. Here's the best part...Shar was not the employee who had waited on us when we came to pick up the door! She saw that there was a problem and came forward on her own initiative to help. Great customer service with a smile. Thanks, Shar! read more

Jason even called a few weeks later to see if we found what we needed. And I told him we did at Pease Glass in Indiana . Terrible service. Ordered a dish washer online, it was delivered. The delivery guy dented the back of the dishwasher when it was delivered which I didn't notice at the time. . It was delivered on a Friday. I installed it on Sunday. The washer seemed used from the start, quarter gallon water in the machine, lastly front seal was broke. Called corporate Monday, they said I eclipsed the 48 hours return. Can't help. I then called the local Arnold location, where I was told no problem bring it in for a return. You have to watch them. Dropped over $850.00 at HD. Went to the service desk to schedule/pay for installation of a garage door opener. The day before the installation cost was $117.00. When the clerk rang it up it came up $127.00. When I inquired about the price increase since yesterday he replied the register says $127 so that's what it is. I paid the $127 ans then went back to th e garage door area and took a picture of the posted installation cost. $117.00. They want employees to wear facial coverings but it is a joke when the employees at customer service either had it around their neck or only barely covering their mouths like Tyler did. My husband and I had bought a freezer in Arnold home Depot and we had it delivered within a few days The delivery Man showed up a half hour late. I had shown the delivery man where I wanted to place the freezer and he said no can do due to the fact is he was only supposed to put it in the first room by the front door that was their so-called policy and we paid for full delivery we were advised by the associate in appliances that they would deliver it and place it where we wanted it. The delivery man was having trouble getting the freezer in the door with the box we told him to take the box out delivery man refuse saying it was again store policy to remove the box that the freezer came in. My husband and I were so dissatisfied with the delivery service that we had made a phone call as soon as the delivery man left and spoke with the manager Amanda at home Depot in the Arnold location and we told her what was happening and that the freezer was located in our family room in a box in the middle of the floor Amanda assured my husband that she would take care . And as for my husband and myself we will also continue shopping at home Depot based on the service that we receivedof this issue within a half an hour Amanda had called my husband back on the phone and said that she was sending out two of her store associates to help us and we need two associates arrived , they introduced themselves as of Mark and Chris and assured my husband that they were going to take care of the issue that we were having they had unboxed the refrigerator took off the door to the basement to get the freezer through the door place the freezer in the exact spot where we wanted it and even took the box and trash away with them. We are super happy and very very satisfied with the service that we received from the home Depot in Arnold Missouri. I have been to this location on at least a couple of dozen times. After the first 3 or 4 I realized that it is virtually impossible to get any help at this store. I have actually stood and loudly requested help and had 2 or 3 employees walk by and look at me, and then walk on, as I waved then toward me for help. I ordered carpet from Home Depot. They contract out to Superior Flooring. A month ago prior to having the carpet installed we had our whole house painted. When they installed the carpet the tore up all the corners of the outer walls, not just at the floor but over half way up the walls. Superior says it is Home Depot's problem. Was in need of a new dryer stat.. I am aware most places ship but some also have them in stock. I walked in Home Depot to shop and was met with rudeness. I looked around before I asked a employee and found some that were priced ok and the "reduced take homes" I was sent the this "lovely" lady Lynn. I asked if there were any available for take home today. Lynn replied absolutely NOT. You will have to wait a week out for delivery. I replied ok well then I will go someplace else. She replies good luck its like that everywhere.... WELL Lynn, I did go to a few other places and Lowes had a selection of Dryers in stock and I took my new GE home. Home depo sucks I spend thousands of dollars in there we even bought new doors from there and they didn't start of them didn't even cut the outside of the doors my son had passed away in the meantime so we never even looked at the outside until One year later I mean oh my god the money that we spent on the stores we bought five of them and they were installed in properly no installation on the outside to keep the cold from coming in green it was a year but the thousands of dollars that we spend in that store and they couldn't even send somebody out to do the job properly because that guy no longer work there the contract of the job out be Bs I've had trouble with two leaf blowers that I bought in there And because I couldn't find my receipt they treated me like I was a thief but then when they looked at my card and then they didn't even apologise didn't even apologise and I'm still pissed about the stores I wouldn't recommend Homedpote to anyone read more

This review in regards to the contractors who work for Home Depot. The contractors did a wonderful job on my garage. They came on time & worked very very hard to get the job done. They even stayed late on the first day! They cleaned up after the project was completed. The workmanship was incredibly good. Great communication. I was amazed on how smooth this project went. They have a decent selection of items at reasonable prices. To shop for household items it's a good place to go. However, I would hesitate on having anything installed from them. Here's my story: In April I decided to go with Home Depot to install an entry door and a screen door. I picked out what I wanted and since my door was an abnormal size it had to be made in the factory which is understandable. I was told it would take 4 weeks to come in and it did. When the contractor came to install the doors the entry door had a dent in it. It had to go back and a new one made and wait another 4 weeks. The doors finally got installed at the end of June. After the gentlemen that installed the doors left (they were fantastic by the way) and I was cleaning the glass on the storm door I noticed a small 1/4 crack in the glass. I immediately called the installer who relayed it to Home Depot. He was told that I needed to call Home Depot, which I did immediately. I was told a note was made and that someone would be in contact with me to let me know how they were going to resolve the issue (either replace the pane of glass or the whole door). No one called. I called back a couple of days later and apparently the expediter, Karen, was going to have the whole door replaced but had to order it. The employee couldn't even give me an idea as to when the door would come in. I heard nothing in over 2 weeks so I stopped in to the store to follow up. I talked to an employee named Scott (he is also fantastic) who put a note in the system to have Karen call me. While I was there I noticed that they had the storm door I need in stock! What the heck have I been waiting on?? Anyway, once again Karen drops the ball and doesn't call, I have to call back 2 days later. NOW she tells me that they have the door in stock (no kidding Einstein) and that the installer should be calling to schedule a time to replace the door. What a nightmare. I wish I would have went to Lowe's instead, I had them replace a garage door not long ago and they were fabulous. Basically it boils down to the lack of communication from Home Depot. read more

Each aspect of the ordering and installation process was well-communicated. They offered me a choice of appointments for measurements and installation that were all within a week. The installation company communciated clearly with me as well. The installers did a quick and professional job. The carpet looks great! read more

I'm writing this review more on service than products. I walked into this home depot and was greeted right away. I forgot the guys name but he had short dark hair. Anyways, he asked what I was looking for and I explained how I'm updating the front patio from old water logged boards to a sturdy pine. It's a small area but he helped me order the wood and get the right nails. I've got a tarp over the replacement wood now and plan on putting the new boards in this weekend. When we ordered carpet for. 2 rooms we were told it would arrive in 7-10 days. The lady taking the order clearly stated it is usually 7 days. 3 weeks later...we had no carpet arrive. The store was unable to track where the carpet was or when it would arrive. When we cancelled the carpet all sorts of information was suddenly available. We were told the delay was due to an order error on their part which had never been communicated to us. Then we were told we would be charged a $150 restock fee ! We addressed management & after some debate had the restock fee waved. Honesty initially on arrival expectations & a little communication could have prevented the situation & our poor opinion of Home Depot. read more

I've always liked the Home Depot but am really unhappy today. The 4 day ad promoted charcoal at a great price. When I went to get it, I was told they only got 2.5 pallets and were sold out in 2 hours. Clearly no one could have believed that was going to be enough for 4 days.
