Came in to try and find a specific screw that I needed for my fridge door. It was so hard trying to get someone to help me. When I found a worker, he told me he couldn't help as it wasn't his department and got someone else to assist. The next gentleman that came over, attempted to help, but you can definitely tell he was in a rush to get somewhere else. He looked for about 2 minutes and then stayed, he had to go to lunch, and suggested that I continue to browse to keep looking for the screw. I gave up because I had no idea. I eventually asked a man standing in the aisle looking for his screws. He i formed me that it was a specialty screw and i would need to look online or contact the manufacture. read more

Today I ordered windows . In stock regular good price and had the pleasure of working with Rob in mil work . Even with my dry sense of hunger and Wednesdays Adam personality he helped me with a smile and fast tempo even tho he was the only one in his department on a busy weekend . Everything I needed all the way through , making suggestions, upsaleing and not only making sure I had the windows but everything that I needed for the installation too . He working with my payment method considering their contractor center isn't like Home Depot they still make it to where my contractors could pick up what they needed and go. just finished a major renovation project. We used Lowe's for a lot of our supplies and projects. I will say we had some good experiences there, but I am giving a low rating because after all the money we spent there when we went to return a new in box vanity mirror that was on clearance within 24 hours of purchase they refused. They said their policy had changed and they no longer accept clearance item returns. this was unexpected for a big box store and there were no signs in the store communicating this to shoppers. They were less than sympathetic to our surprise at the return desk. I am disappointed that after all we have spent there they refused to return a $45 mirror. sadly, I will be avoiding this Lowe's for awhile. read more

I visited the Arnold, MO Lowes this morning as I often do on Sunday. I purchased a Hisbiscus plant and some seeds. The Hisbiscus plant was clearly marked at $16.98. I went into the store and purchased 4th of July decor and walked back to car. I was thinking the first purchase was more than I had calculated in my head as I shopped so I looked at my receipt (good thing) I realized they charged me $19.98 for the plant. So I took my purchases back in with the receipt-the cashier says, "that's wierd, unfortunately I'll have to send you to Customer Service for the refund.....I'm surprised you noticed." That's is telling because that is what they depend on or if you notice you are at home and don't want the hassle of going back and fighting for the money back. The Customer Service Agent responded in the same way, "umm that's wierd. She checked her scanner for pricing and it too was $19.98. She said she refunded my card but didn't ask for my card for the refund. I asked for a receipt and she shrugged her shoulders and said, "I don't have one.' So I asked her to write her name on the receipt with the date and the amount to be refunded. She wrote a name, not the name on her name tag, didn't write the date and wrote $3 per..I wrote the name from her name badge and the date on the receipt. I called customer service when I arrived home was told I would need to call and ask about the case number if the money doesn't show back up on my card and that nobody would be contacting me. She did apologize for the experience but they are shallow words read from a script. Again it is the principle-why did she put a different name on the receipt and refuse to give me a refund receipt. I have names and the security camera footage from 6/29 between 9: 00 a.m and 10:00 a.m would have recorded this experience. I shop local instead of online because of the scams online. Look at your receipts folks, people usually apologize for mistakes, they respond with gaslighting when it is purposeful as the characters at Lowes did in their interaction with me. The practice to deceive is strong in this world, it is everywhere apparently. read more

Horrible customer service. Purchased dishwasher back in November. I refused the delivery and install due to damage on dishwasher at delivery time. The store has the dishwasher and the $$. Each time I have contacted customer service they have been zero help. All ( both in store and corporate)say they are going to talk to the store manager. Nothing happens. The knowledge of the employees and customer service is horrible! I prefer to go to Ace True Value because when I am in the store, I have numerous employees come up and ask me if I have found what I am looking for or if I need any help, without asking or seeking them out. Not at Lowes. I only come here because they do have a wider selection and usually lower prices. I was looking for garage shelving and foam gap and crack filler. I asked an employee that sent me to the wrong aisle. After hunting down and asking 2 other employees, I finally got to the right aisle for shelving. They were heavy and did not fit in my cart. So I hunted down a flat bed. Loaded it up by myself. Then, I got sent to two more wrong aisles for the second thing. Asked an employee if I could speak to a manager. "He's on vacation. There might be an assistant here somewhere." After hunting him down he says, "alot of our employees are new. I will let someone know they need more Customer Service Training." No sorry, nothing. Proceed to go check myself out as it is the only choice. One of the barcodes is "unrecognizable," and nobody can figure out how to fix this. Horrible experience with Lowe's delivery and installation. Installation was refused upon delivery because it would take longer than usual in a tight space. Rescheduling was horrible to coordinate a time with a plumber to move a water heater for the team to do their job - which could have been done without. Once coordinated, the time promised for installation wasn't honored and customer service wasn't knowledgeable or helpful in trouble shooting. read more

Something is not right in Denmark, or in this case with the Arnold MO Lowe's. For the past few weeks a noticeable negative trend has emerged. That us the gradual decline in maintaining the restrooms. It began a few weeks ago when the soap dispensers went dry. They out out what I thought was temporary bottles of Dial hand soap. Then one of two paper towel holders went missing, leaving only the holes in the wall. Finally last Saturday evening about 2100 hours things really took a turn for the worst. No soap at all and no paper towels. Absolutely disgusting. When I told the guy at the self checkout about it he just said something to the effect, "Yeah, that's been a problem..." I suggested somebody grab some soap and paper towels and provide the basic necessities to maintain proper sanitation and the employee just looked at me like a dog staring at a ceiling fan. I would suggest someone fix the issue and maybe start by having the manager (before he or she is fired), replace and refill everything missing. The level of incompetence at this location is at an all time high. I have an order that was to be delivered on 07/04, then was not delivered and without a phone call telling me it has been delayed. I have to call the pro desk, who is no help at all, to tell me the delivery is scheduled on 07/17. I then receive a call that confirms my order delivery that morning and then is not delivered. I then call them again and they tell me the product is in the warehouse and will be delivered 07/19. Noon today I still have not gotten a call and after they transfer me to every other idiot in the store, including the person I talked to that confirmed the order is in their warehouse, they proceed to tell me that the order is stuck in customs and will not be delivered until August 9th. I ended up having to go to Fenton to buy cabinets and this time I try to give Arnold a chance to redeem themselves and the girl, Jeanne tells me she can't help me because she hasn't had a lunch and is getting ready to leave. I received a phone call from the delivery department at the end of the day before the employee left the store that they would deliver my appliance to the billing address instead of the shipping address. Worst service ever for online orders!!! I went to order a patio set online and the delivery date was May 10th, which was perfect for me as I needed it for May 18th. May 10th comes and goes and I still have not heard from Lowe's. I wait a couple more days than I finally call them. They put me on hold to check on my order, 25 minutes later I finally had to hang up because I couldn't hold any longer I had places to be. They than send me an email later that evening telling me there is nothing they can do for me my order is already in transit but it will take a week to get to me. After looking further into it, the delivery was coming from North Carolina to St Louis,Missouri. No way my order was getting to me in the 2 days they told me it would. Paid for some flooring and installation. The company they contracted came and gave an estimate and we signed the forms. Then, Lowe's contacted us and said the estimate was too low and we owed $500 more. Okay, it happens...so we paid and a date was set for the work. My son took off work for it and the company never showed. Not only didn't show, never contacted us. We called Lowe's and never heard back from them. The flooring company then contacted us to set up another date but couldn't even offer an explanation of why they didn't show the first time! I puchased a gas stove from Lowes on November 15th; they didn't have it in the store, so they ordered online for me to have it delivered. This part went extremely smooth, as did the delivery and installation. However, the stove was damaged. The installer was very nice and got on the phone with Lowe's, told the guy what was up, and ordered us a new one. That was a month ago. It was supposed to be in on Dec. 14th and they would call to set up delivery and installation. Now...Dec. 20th, no word, so I called. Now they said it didn't come in and it isn't even going to go out until the 22nd.....maybe. They'll call when it's in. Do not shop this location. The customer service staff are EXTREMELY rude and do not abide by the Lowe's return policies. We have spent over 1000.00 in the last three months alone, all on our credit card. We attempted to return an item today that was part of a 300.00 purchase on our credit card. Item unused, purchased a week ago. Customer service girl said she could see it was purchased from the store but refused to offer us the store credit, which is the policy if products were purchased with a credit card. It also states the store can use your phone number and name as well. Manager Brown you run a horrible location with horrible customer service. Before my experience with this location I had a negative view of Lowe's in general because my best friend had issues with some of her orders from the company- not this location. However, when we bought a house in foreclosure and had 60 days to rehab the entire thing before getting our occupancy permit and moving in, it was Lowe's to the rescue. When I say rehab, I'm not talking a couple of cosmetic improvements. I'm talking 3 new bathrooms, a new kitchen, flooring throughout, walls taken down, a wall put up, electric and plumbing needed to be fixed... you get the picture. I would say that 90% of our house is now Lowe's materials. I couldn't be happier with how our home turned out but we really attribute a lot of its success to the team at Lowe's. Since we were working on such a tight timeframe we had to make quick decisions and get the materials right away. Their kitchen design team worked patiently with us and put together multiple options until we found one we could both agree on. Brian, the store manager, helped us find flooring that not only was the most appealing to us, but also one of the more cost effective options. We did most of the work ourselves but the carpet included free installation so we took advantage of that and get a lot of compliments on how nice the carpet is. We've had a couple bigger projects since the rehab and they have been just as helpful. We are currently getting ready to replace our roof and when my husband and brother went to purchase the shingles and supplies, they just had to tell the employees what they needed and they went to work gathering it all up and loading it all in the truck for them. My husband said they didn't need to lift a finger. Overall I would say they have great customer service, quality products and a good selection. We are definitely a Lowe's family now! read more

I always seem to have the easiest time when I go to Lowe's in general compared to other hardware stores, but this Lowe's is by far the best Lowe's I've been to, specifically because of their employee Amber. I don't know her last name, probably would be weird if I did, but she almost always knows exactly what to recommend and if she's not sure she'll be the first to admit it. As a business owner and contractor, it's the small things that help me be successful, and Amber is one of those things that helps my business be successful. The rest of the staff is also equally as nice, and very knowledgeable, the store is kept clean, fair prices, and things are well laid out to where it's usually fairly easy to find what you're looking for. read more

In Dec. 2019 a salesman for Lowe's Arnold came to my house to give me a price for two sets of exterior French doors. He came in took some measurements and then did some calculations and pretty much floored me when he gave me the price. It was for Jeld-Wen fiberglass textured doors with mini blinds in the windows. Installed. He said the regular price was $7,700 but he could discount them down to $6,900 but I would need to act fast because the discounts were about to expire. I told him no thanks the doors were way overpriced and I would not pay over $5000. He left then text me half hour later and told me he could get a different brand door for less than $5000. Went to Home Depot and got the same doors Lowe's was going to charge me $7,700 before discounts for $4700 installed. Went into Lowe's s the day after I got this estimate and ask if they were offering any discounts on these doors and was told not at this time. BUYER BEWARE. read more

I purchased 5 interior doors from the Arnold Lowe's Store on August 20th, 2021. The doors were scheduled for installation on January 24th, 2022 (no one kept me informed and I had to keep calling just to get information on delivery). One door was damaged in transit and had to be re-ordered. The other 4 doors had to be "ripped" to fit. Ripping is when a side of the door is planed so it will fit the door opening. I was not informed that this would be done, I ordered custom doors and assumed they would be cut to size that was measured by the Lowe's person who took the measurements. The ripping leaves rough edges on the doors and looks hideous. Then I was informed that I would have to get paint and paint the sides that were ripped and any blemishes that occurred during installation. And, no there was no paint provided, And, there was no mention of ripping in my detailed customer copy. Also, included in my bill, but not itemized was a $47.25 charge per door for the ripping. I would have been better off to have ordered doors with frames. There would have been no ripping, just a simple installation. The employee who sold me the doors is no longer employed. I have been working with Jerry Jost who was the manager of the Millwork department (he has since moved to another department and quickly lost interest in helping me). He promised me that he would "make things right" when I was face to face with him). I texted him and e-mailed him pictures of the doors. He was horrible at returning texts and phone calls. Today (March 28, 2022), the remaining 2 doors were to be installed and the installer discovered the wrong doors were ordered. They were hollow doors instead of solid. I called the store and spoke with Zach, one of the managers, and explained all the issues I was having and he told me the best he could do was to have me get bids on painting the doors, submit the bids to him, and he would reimburse me. And of course, he would have the 2 incorrect doors re-ordered and no idea how long delivery would take. At this point, I would be happy to have the installed doors returned and a full credit issued and I would get the doors from a different company. He is supposed to check and call me back. Then, I called Lowe's Customer Care 800-445-6937 and was referred to Lowe's Installation Team 877-695-7664. I talked to Charles and he told me the only thing I could do was a compensation request. He was very rude and kept talking over me. When I asked to speak with a manager, he put me on hold for 40 minutes (I as afraid to hang up and start over again). When he finally came back to the call, he said the manager would not be talking to me because Charles had told me everything that was needed to say. Basically what they told me was that if the doors were functional, cosmetics were not an issue and they would do nothing about it. So, 7 months later, I still have doors installed that need rough edges smoothed, the ripping sides painted and other areas touched up. And, I am still missing 2 doors! I have been a long time Lowe's customer , I have purchased appliances and tools from the Arnold store, but I will never make a major purchase from them again. I paid $1,992.72 for the 5 doors and that was after a $230.00 discount. I don't think it is wrong to expect the doors to be perfect. read more

This place is a great place to fix up your home, but man.. The employees? Rejects. I bought a garden hose nozzle, took it home and realized it was the same one I had, so I took it back to return it. Theygirl at the return counter asked me what it was... I just stared at her, then said "garden hose nozzle..." She then gets on the intercom and asks for someone to come over, and I quote "I need someone from the garden department to come check this nozzlely thingy I have." I just continued to stare at her as she hung up, thinking 'you just said that.. to the whole store...' It got returned, none the less, but the employees... Ha. read more

The products here are for the most part very good. My disappointment with this store is trying to get someone to help you when you need assistance, or worse yet when you call in for assistance. I am not basing this on just one incident. Recently went here to purchase something and after looking everywhere I asked for help, the associated pointed and said over there somewhere. I promise you this has happened several times in almost all departments. When it comes to loading heavy items you better bring help. I am a 100% disabled vet, I don't ask for anything special, but it was so hard loading patio stone and 6 bags of paver mix on my own. Spoke to the manager and was told they have to run the store with fewer employees than they need. Update: Today I entered the store only to watch a man load 4 expensive DeWalt tools in a cart and run out the doors near the customer service desk with the cart full of tools. A young black female employee and I gave pursuit, got the tools back and watched the man jump in a moving vehicle to get away. Not enough employees to prevent this. PS. When it comes to contractors working for Lowe's, I would suggest to run. Run as fast as you can. This is the second time that we used Lowe's for construction. This time it was for a deck. On the first day, the contractor did not have the permit when he arrived at my house. Seriously????? Who does that???? He then told me that he needed to go next door to go get it since I lived next to City Hall. Ummmmmmm, okay. Then, it kind of got worse as the project progressed. After he tore down the old deck, he told me that the building inspector needed to come out & inspect the next day. I assumed that the contractor would be there as well. Nope. He told me "I'm not going to wait all day for the inspector." He should have told me the day before so that I can plan my day accordingly instead of staying at home waiting for him. Sooooo not cool with me. I told the contractor beforehand to watch out for the sprinkler heads since we have an irrigation system. Yeah, apparently he didn't listen. He broke one. Thank goodness the system was not turned on. Otherwise, I would have had a gusher in my backyard. After the project was finally finished, he never bothered to clean up. There were nails in my backyard. Sawdust was killing my grass. I had to ask him to take out a nail that was sticking out of a post. It had no business being there. We had to ask him to come back out for stuff that didn't look right (some of the wood on the flooring did not have the same color as the rest of the wood, etc.). He wasn't very meticulous in his work. He had a bunch of excuses for the way that the deck looked (there was about a 2 inch gap between the last rail & wall of the house; his excuse: the deck is not square shaped) & why he didn't clean up (the grass was tooo tall; I couldn't safely mow my backyard if there were nails & screws on the yard!). Utter b.s.. We had him redo some of the flooring & sand the rails. Again, he did not clean up. Sawdust was everywhere, & there were nails & screws in my backyard on the grass! *Groan* We had to have an additional 2 posts put in due to the building code which was fine with us. The contractor yet again made a mistake on this part. He had to cut into the existing concrete pad. When he cut close to the edge, there were cracks in the concrete as a result. It did not look pretty. There were other issues that I had with Lowe's & with the contractor that would pretty much turn this review into a 3 page essay. But, these are the main problems I had. This was the most stressful construction project I have ever witnessed. We complained to Lowe's & got a gift card to soothe us. Satisfied to a certain degree, but I will remember this horrid experience for the rest of my life. read more

My husband and I purchased a washer and dryer from Lowe's in Arnold. After a month of using it the washer leaked. I called Lowe's because in our move we lost the warranty paperwork. The appliance department did everything they could to look up or information and found it and directed me to the warranty and repair line where the woman on the phone set us up with the independent contractor who would repair my washing machine. Well... the company canceled on the morning of the scheduled repair after I adjusted my entire Saturday to accommodate. I called Lowe's immediately to see if the manufacturers had another company to repair my washer as i have 4 people in my household and have been unable to do laundry for 4 days. Brian, the appliance manager not only made calls on my behalf with the manufacturer but also to the warranty department but also was willing to bend over backwards to make sure my household could run smoothly. This man went above and beyond. I'll be making any large appliance purchase from this store and give them an excellent reference. The only reason I am giving this place a one (1) star rating is that there is no lower score. You won't believe what your going to read: We stopped in and looked at storm doors but did not buy because we we wanted to talk to our contractor. When time to came to buy 3 days later I called the store to order and pay for the door we picked so our contractor could go by and get it plus we could get the 11% rebate. They refused my phone order and told me to go on line to order or come into the store. On line the door we pick out and took a picture of the sku, etc, did not show up anywhere in the United States. I was told when calling back I would have to come into the store which is hard when your a few hundred miles away. I went back on line and picked out another door. When I was checking out their site refused my credit card because the site said St. Louis was NOT in Missour! Nor is the zip code, that I have been using for over 40 years, correct. I called the store again and was told there was nothing they can do. Well, I can do something, never shop here again! PS.
