Bergfeld and Christy save the day! We ordered a play set from a different vendor. Not everything needed to build the set was delivered. We flew in from Florida to assemble the set for our grandson and the weekend was almost a bust. I contacted Bergfeld and they were extremely accommodating. The had a set in stock and Christy went out of her way to communicate the delivery status. They were friendly, caring and professional. In the end they saved the weekend and helped us make our grandson very happy. read more

The play set was initially not assembled correctly. However, I can honestly say they did not stop addressing things until we were 100% satisfied. Their correspondence was always prompt and courteous, and they were honest and upfront with everything. I have been a customer for over 30 years. 2 years ago, I purchased lots of equipment, including chains for our commercial swing set. Immediately the chains, which were very expensive, started to gradually rust. After 2 years, it was almost entirely rusted. In retrospect, I should have called right away, but at the beginning the rust was minimal, and it built up over time. I called today, and they were arrogant, sarcastic, and unwilling to do anything. They said it must be the environment. However, chains attached to a separate swing, that I purchased that same day, never rusted, so it clearly wasn't the environment. It was defective chain, plain and simple. And they didn't stand behind it, plain and simple. On top of that, they were very condescending about it. No way to treat a customer, especially a longstanding one. read more

Finally Received our play set... Installation was smooth, but we'll never do business with Bergfeld Recreation again, what a Circus Act! Scheduled an apt with one of the owners to come by our house and look at our yard. We wanted a fence, automated gate and play set. So, probably a pretty nice job for them $25,000 - $30,000. Stood me up on the apt, so I called another fence company and paid them the $20K. Recently we decided to give Bergfeld a second chance and get our play set from them. Play set installation date was pushed back twice and the play set showed up incomplete. When I called to voice my concern they really didn't care. The only positive thing I can say is that the gentleman that came to install the play set was great, although he is a contractor and not a Bergfeld employee. This company is very unorganized, no consideration for anyone's time and has no sense of customer service. If you can find what you're looking for somewhere else, I would strongly advise you to do so. read more
