I was having a hard time finding a place to get a Gin bottle engraved for my brother's Ph.D. Graduation and I finally found Arch Engraving. I went to the Kirkwood location and they helped me right away and got my order done in 5 minutes with helpful suggestions on a clear bottle. They also got the proof done within a couple of hours and sent to my email for approval. They told me it was their busy season and I had needed it in two weeks to take out of State with me. They promised it to me the day before I left but got it done 3 days early! The engraving was beautiful and my brother loved his gift! Came in with a last-minute emergency order for some pieces (thirty minutes from closing) and the entire staff was friendly, good-humored, and more than eager to help. I was there for a specific need (for some trophies that hadn't arrived in time for an event) but noticed they had a VAST array of product offerings for engraving. Mugs, insulated coffee cups, wine glasses, plaques, medals, and they can even engrave customer-supplies items! Not only that, but they were able to offer prices that beat the original I had ordered online. So happy to have discovered them at the last minute. Arch Engraving will be my first choice in the future. Just not thirty minutes from closing. read more

Have used 3 times, for very personal engraving. Arch provided the correct Latin language prayer of "Anima Christ" which was put onto my father's grave. This took a lot of research for them to accurately do. Then my Godson, who has special needs, was awarded a service scholarship for children under 10 offered by Kohl's Department store. They showed me the plaque and the trophey options that gave him a magnificent final award. Arch still had on file, the original "Anima Christi" in Latin, which almost killed me to have made for on my husband's grave. He was 43, a military hero and my whole heart. The new owner and management from #ArchEngraving are awful & could use a course in manners & customer service. You're truly better off going anywhere else. Very disappointed with the rude and unprofessional attitudes of the people working here. Mainly the owner, who will aggressively blame any problems or holdups to be the fault of the customer. I found him to be very immature when he actually shouted at my mother who was with me. They tried charging me over twice as much for a job done on a slower machine vs. their faster one which was initially requested and told would be used. On top of this my items were delayed for weeks and I was repeatedly being told that they would be done by the next week; that was if I could even get ahold of them. They didn't even cut out my materials all the way! It's absolutely ridiculous. I'll have to use an exacto knife to finish the job I paid them for. As the owner himself said, "You'll find out that lasers are hard." I would myself find in fact, that I wouldn't run a business without knowing how to operate my own machines. A laughable excuse.. and sadly just really a massive downgrade from the old owners and management. read more

do. not. go. here I contacted this company and asked if they could make a plaque of my sister's wedding invitation as a gift. I had a picture of exactly what a sample looked like and they said they'd be happy to do it. I kid you not, after countless emails and working on the project for TWO MONTHS, they sent me something that looked awful. Not engraved and incredibly low-quality. The text was bleeding into one another. Despite the wedding being in two weeks, they said they decided they cannot help me and I should go elsewhere. And now I won't be able to give this gift to the bride on time. It's incredibly disappointing that I put my trust in them. read more

Let me tell you a story. In January I was trying to think about what to get my father in law for his birthday. I met with a Bladesmith and decided on a knife made from Damascus steel. Over a two month period, I met with the Bladesmith to create this knife. I then decided I wanted to have my father in law's name engraved on the blade. The Bladesmith assured me he could make this happen. Days before my FIL's birthday he told me that his engraver fell through and we had no way to get it done. In a panic, I Googled engravers, I needed this in two days. Everyone I called said they needed a five day window. And then, I came across Arch Engraving. I told them, as I had told everyone else, the story about why I needed this done and quickly. I'm not sure who I spoke with that day but they took a personal interest in what I needed. This was on Thursday, three days before the birthday. They said come on in and we'll talk. An hour later I was there, with a paper cut out of the knife, as it was still in final production. I spoke with Eddie and Liz, who were the production people. They explained how the laser engraving would affect the Damascus steel and how the engraving would contrast with the pattern in the steel. They also mocked up a proof based on the paper cut out. They showed me different engravings they thought would fit it, without even actually seeing the knife. The following morning, my Bladesmith brought them the completed blade. Todd, the engraver, sent me mock up pictures on what it would look like. I agreed to what he suggested, and by days end on Friday my knife was complete. Jeff was my salesman for Arch Engraving. He made sure that everything was kept on schedule and kept me informed. The reason this review is so long, is because, all though they are a business, somehow they felt and heard my concern and made it happen! So if you need anything engraved, go to Arch Engraving.
