I brought in my treasured Seiko diving watch for some love and attention. After months of waiting I got it back and it slowly failed until nothing would work anymore. Within warranty, I brought it back for a warranty repair. They have now had it for 2 months with no repairs done. They are telling me weeks more of waiting for a repair of their own recent work, that failed in months. Poor technical work, long..long waiting every time, and then the repair fails so you get to do it all over again. That and the hundreds of dollars it cost for the repair in the first place. Brought watch in working order, except hour hand - could only manually adjust. Was told easy repair, would call back w/ free estimate. I called every Fri, finally got an estimate 4 WEEKS later. Told they could repair my Bernoulli Automatic within the week $229. After MORE attempts calling for an update, received call, was told AGAIN 7-10 days. Called several times, couldn't get an update & FINALLY received a voicemail that my watch was "fixed/could be picked up at my convenience." Clerk retrieved my watch, said NO REPAIRS had been made, couldn't find parts. Replayed voicemail - "fixed"? Inspected my watch, NOT RUNNING AT ALL ANYMORE. Clerk went to back, called other location. Owner told him take it back & "he would see what he could do, as it was in running condition when dropped off, should be in that condition when picked up". Left w/them again. Asked for store owner's (Shoddy) info. Called, Shoddy he was apologetic, told me must have "fallen through the cracks like several customers", & again apologized, asking that I "only speak to him now as his reputation was at stake". Shoddy calls 2 days later saying that my watch was NOW UNREPAIRABLE, piece that needs to be fixed was removed & since could not locate one, its not fixable. Said he would "send me a gift watch to repair the damage of his reputation w/me & to help ease the pain of the damage to my watch that store caused", offered to mail it. I insisted on going to the store to pick up my watch (~100 MILES) & we could talk then, asked me to go out of my way to other location & offered to text me the address, waited ~4 HOURS, NO TEXT. Drove to only store I knew of, asked for Shoddy, told he was at the other location. I called & Shoddy asked me to come over to his location, said no, he needed to come to me, he said he would be there in "5 minutes." Asked to see my watch. Clerk told me it was no longer in that location, called Shoddy back to remind him to bring my original watch w/him. Shoddy finally called, 19 minutes later, to let me know he was there as I left to cool off. He directed me to table in the middle of the concourse. I insisted we speak in his store. Shoddy quickly brought out 2 watches that he said were a gift for the mistakes that shop had made, neither one in a watch box or even a store bag. One, he stated is a Tissot, worth at least $500, the other a wooden no brand name watch he claims to sell for $70. Asked if he really was going to try to gift me a cheap quartz watch? He replied, "Yes, it is worth more than a broken watch." I reminded him HE BROKE IT. Girlfriend Googled the Tissot, had difficulty finding that specific one, but quickly came upon a website saying how oftenTissot is faked & how to tell if it is a fake. Pointed out the irregularities b/w website & watch, he asked, "Who are you going to believe: her or me, a watchmaker?" Pointed out he has NO CREDIBILITY. Shoddy quickly restated he had to leave a store to come see me & was now losing money because of it. I reminded him I am most important customer to him because I had a watch that he broke. Asked him to do the right thing: pay to repair watch to a running state. Asked for old parts so when I go to a reputable watch repair shop, they would have pieces to fix his mistake. Shoddy told me he did not know where parts were, said watch could no longer be fixed because he couldn't do it. I mentioned I could resolve this in small claims court & he quickly relented, reinstating the "gift" of the 2 quartz watches & agreeing to pay for another watch repair shop to fix my watch, only after I said I would accept reimbursement minus the $229 his shop would have charged me. Went to jeweler in same mall, asked about repair for my original watch & the value of watches Shoddy "gift" me for the damage done. Told that I "should take wooden watch as an insult/no value" & Tissot is a used watch, has a genuine face, but was worth only ~$50, as parts had been replaced like the band & had minor scratches on surfaces. read more

Went in here to replace my watches battery. First the guy said it was $65 then he said it was $165 for 5 year warranty. I agreed to pay the $65 and presented him with their very own 20% off batteries and band replacement. The guy told me that they wouldn't not be able to honor the coupon for the $65 rate even though there was not restrictions written on their coupon. Not a good way to do business. read more

All of the stores wanted to send the Tag watch out, charge me over a $100 for a battery and then make me wait a few weeks These guys did it in 15 minutes and charged me about half of that. The only reason I gave this place three stars instead of five is because of the sassy man who helped us. He told us there was no way possible to shorten the band of the watch I'd received for Christmas and acted as though he had years of expertise to prove this. I felt hopeless but my mother and I explained how we (with zero years of expertise) thought the watch could be adjusted. Eventually he understood the strategy we were suggesting and from there he did a great job. He even gave us 25% off when we mentioned a coupon that we didn't actually have. Went there for the first time about 2 days ago. My wife had broken the bracelet on her Brietling watch. It was fixed the next day at a very reasonable price. Only bad part for us that she had lost some of the links when the bracelet broke, making the bracelet too small, we have since found some extra links from a previous sizing and will be taking watch back tomorrow. I brought in 4 watches to be repaired which consisted of 3 battery replacements, 1 band replacement, 1 clasp replacement, and replacement of the crystal on one of them. All of that cost $130 which is far less than anything else I had been quoted elsewhere. They did a great job and I would absolutely go back to them for any future repairs. I'm giving them 4 stars because I was told by the guy that when I came back to pick up my watches, he would remove some links on one of them at no charge. I recently inherited my grandpas gold Tag Heuer, and needed to have the battery replaced. I know nothing about watches so I did some research and found that the manufacturer requires that the watch be sealed after having the battery changed. My first instinct was to call a jeweler, as they sell watches, so they must know how to fix them...right? WRONG!!! None of the jewelry stores could seal my watch, and one went so far as to tell me some far fetched story about how my watch may not need to be sealed depending on the style of crown. The one good thing she did tell me was to go to Watch Technicians if I didn't want to have to send it out for 6 weeks. I took that advice, and was beyond happy that I did. The guy who worked on my watch seemed to really know his stuff, and he was very friendly. For what was done to my watch, the price was very fair, and it only took about 8 minutes from the time I presented my watch to the time I was handed my receipt. They changed the battery, sealed it (complete with a receipt from the sealing machine showing that everything was done properly), cleaned and polished it, and even gave me a 5 year warranty on the battery. I know that many people make a point of leaving reviews when they have gotten bad service, but I really want to shout from the rooftops how impressive my whole Watch Technicians experience was. I don't have a big collection to be bringing to this kiosk, but they will certainly be the only ones touching my grandpas old watch, and will only get positive reviews from me. read more

I have a Movado watch that quit working 16 months after I got it. Took it to my jeweler for a new battery, she said it wasn't the battery but the movement. It was still under the two year warranty so I called Movado. They said I had to send it to their authorized repair service, closest one 5 hours away. Long story, said they wouldn't cover it because it was opened by an unauthorized person. Said the estimated cost to fix it was $ 190. 00 . I told them to ship it back to me unrepaired. Called Movado, they also said they wouldn't honor the warrenty. First of all the watch only worked for 16 months and I only wore it on special occasions. So I started looking for businesses that repaired watches. Saw reviews for Watch Technicians, so I thought I would try them. My watch was fixed in 20 minutes for $85.00! They also guaranteed my battery for 5 years!! I'm sooo glad that I didn't use Movado's authorized repair service. He told me the price and said it would take about 20 minutes to be finished. The prices he quoted me was very reasonable. At the time I didn't have the money but planned on coming back. He also told me to check with my jeweler to see how much it would cost there just to make sure I was getting the best deal. He explained the services they do as well. When I checked with my jeweler they wanted an outrageous price for simply fixing a battery. Of course I came back to the Watch Technicians kiosk at West County Mall not only for their fair prices but also because of how honest and friendly the attendant was.
