I had told her that I had some other jewelry and that I would be back. I did some research and realized that I had been taken. I had some other rings and necklaces, so I went back the next day. She did not seem happy to see me at all; in fact, she had feigned interest in something the day before but was just attempting to be nice. She rejected some of my pieces stating that they were not real then walked into the back area where someone let her know if the ones she selected were "acceptable". Again, an offer of about $200 for 2 vintage solid gold class rings. i asked her why. she looked at me and babbled on about clarity and such. I looked at her. said no and left. I went to another jewelry store with the rings and the rejected pieces and was offered $1200 for everything. I feel as if I have been robbed and am so tired of dishonesty just because they can get away with it. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE THEY ARE NOT HONEST OR KIND, SHE MADE ME FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE LIKE I WAS BENEATH HER. I WILL PRAY FOR HER. Not only does Hal Brinkman do great work, he is just an incredibly nice guy. My dad has gone to him for years to have stuff hand made for my mom. He does beautiful work. Just something fun they could have as a token when they got older. Well, I went to Brinkman's on my dad's suggestion. So glad I did. I needed a smaller thinner ring and he found one for me within 24 hours and I bought it from him. Hal is the last of a vanishing skilled craftsman. Don't be scared off by his modest showroom. If he doesn't have it, he can find it and do so at a very reasonable and fair price.
