She also works with Mona and Tom and they're very good friends. She is an amazing jeweler . We have also adopted one another lol but the estate pieces are beautiful. I could not be more pleased with my experience at The Diamond Shop. I checked out multiple jewelry stores in town looking at wedding bands and inquiring about options as I knew my engagement ring would likely require custom work to have a band fit flush with it. The customer service, knowledge of the staff, selection of pieces, and ability to do custom work is truly elite compared to my experiences in other stores. Jennifer was my sales representative and Nikki was my jeweler who did the custom work. They were both kind, patient, and attentive while responding to my many questions. It's truly a small thing but they also have great memories and will mention things that I said in passing at prior visits. The store has selections of estate pieces as well as many new items. We have bought my engagement stone, a custom made wedding band for myself, my husband's wedding band and a diamond necklace at this store. A few weeks ago I had my engagement ring decreased by two sizes and now it fits perfectly. We also had both of our wedding bands engraved, all of which was very reasonably priced. The absolute classiest jeweler in Saint Louis. To say Mona and Thom have just "taken care" of me would be an insult. They've treated me like family. In fact, they've treated my entire family like family for years. I brought my sister a very large star sapphire back from Southwest Asia and Thom created a custom ring for her and the stone and to this day it's probably one of the most beautiful rings I've ever seen. I bought an engagement ring at the Diamond Shop a month ago. I went to 3 businesses in the area and chose The Diamond Shop and couldn't be happier with my choice. One draw for me was that they have many rings designed by the owner/head jeweler (rather than just importing mass produced stuff as most placed do). This means that they were particularly able to handle special requests (of which I had a few). I had a ring custom made and the diamond custom set, and it all came out to maybe 60% of what I would have paid for an equivalent ring made by one of the name brand designers. They (Jacki) also had awesome customer service. I was a PITA customer who had a ring custom made, asked them to order a special bezel (setting) and find/buy special side stones, and then asked them to have then asked them to have the ring ready or short notice when my plans changed. They did all of these things with a smile and STILL gave me a discount deal that they definitely didn't have to give. This business went far beyond my expectations and I plan to go them on future jewelry purchases. read more

I had two rings resized here, and the finished product was perfect. Both rings went down about 1 size and they kept the engraving detail on the wider band so that you can't even see where it was altered. It took about one week to be ready but I didn't mind the wait. What a disappointment!!! My husband bought my engagement ring over $25,000, had our wedding bands and anniversary band custom made along with gifts for the whole wedding party bought at The Diamond Shop. I have sent friends and family to the Diamond Shop. I recently made another purchase. I paid for it in full. I receive a letter in the mail 2 months later telling me the sales person made a mistake ringing up the balance and I still owed $45.00. REALLY!!!! Your mistake and now I still have to pay the $45!!! After all the $$ that I spent over the years, they couldn't keep a customer happy and eat the $45!!! Unbelievable! I guess loyalty means nothing anymore. I went to this store to shop for an engagement ring for my girlfriend. After going to a few stores in a mall, this was the first independent store I visited. I have to say I had an excellent experience here. Mark was a pleasure to work with. He took the time to explain to me the different ratings for diamonds. He showed me different stones and was very respectful of my budget. He even ordered in additional diamonds for me to look at when he did not have exactly what I was looking for, and he did this without being asked! When I came back with my girlfriend, he was happy to show us the rings they had, even showing us multiple times when we came back again. I never felt any pressure, and I couldnt have been happier working with them. I eventually bought a stone from them at a competitive price, and had it mounted on a ring from another store. Despite my buying the ring elsewhere, they were willing to do the mounting at their store, though I ended up having the other store do the mounting. When my pearls weren't back in time I called worried, the woman tracked down my necklace and met the woman who had them (they send them out for repair) and I ended up getting them just in time. The Diamond Shop is wonderful! I came here to get my engagement ring resized. It was my fiance's grandmother's ring and I have tiny fingers so it was almost 4 sizes too big originally, but I was amazed that The Diamond Shop was able to resize it with quick turn around time (2 business days) and no evidence of any of this work on the band! It must be because they use laser technology instead of traditional soldering (one of the reasons I picked them initially bc I read about this on their website!). They even cleaned and polished the diamonds so the ring looks like it's brand new instead of at least 60 years old. I definitely recommend this jeweler! :) read more

The Diamond Shop in Clayton has treated me very well. From the free parking in the back (which in Clayton is a big deal) to the service you'll receive inside, this place is fantastic. I shopped around the St. Louis area for about 5 months. For the engagement ring, I wanted a local jeweler where it could be serviced and I wouldn't worry about the service I would receive. The Diamond Shop does their work in the shop. They don't ship the ring off to be rhodium plated or customized. This was a big deal for my fiancee as she doesn't want to be without her ring for more than a day or two. My fiancee is always questioned on where her ring came from. The Diamond Shop should, and probably does take pride in that. They are full of creative ideas as well. We went in "dead set" on one thing and after talking to Thom, Mark, and Todd, we'd walk out with something different, that we thought was better. This wasn't an upsell technique as most of our decisions were pretty much the same price. They run a low pressure show. The employees are not pushy and are extremely patient. They also have a "lay-a-way" plan. Put a little money down, they hold the merchandise, pay every month, and it's yours! No interest, no pressure. I think you're supposed to pay it off within 6 months; however I was right at 6 months with layaway and they never coughed, sneezed, or farted about it. My husband bought my engagement ring from The Diamond Shop in October 2013. The customer service, when I went in to "browse", was amazing. I love my ring - it is unique and exactly what I envisioned. Unfortunately, my ring didn't like the active lifestyle I live, and took some beatings. About a year after owning it, I took it in the get fixed, cleaned, and tightened. Again, when I picked it back up, it looked amazing. In October 2015, the ring took a hard hit (I got it stuck in a lawn chair I was unfolding). I took it back to The Diamond Shop, and was greeted by Thom himself (the owner of the shop). With tears in my eyes, I explained my worry about my ring; was it too delicate for my lifestyle? If I keep getting it fixed, will it one day break? Will I lose the big diamond? Thom settled my frustration and offered to rebuild it!
