My dog Mila was having a bad day because her doggie sister was away on a trip with her Mom and I knew I had to get her something special to cheer her up. I was in the Marina on a Saturday late morning, and had heard of Mishka from my colleague, and decided to give them a try. Upon entering, we were greeted by one of the workers who was kind enough to offer Mila some treats. First one she tried giving, Mila refused, probably because it had fruits and veggies, but when offered a more meaty treat, she gobbled that one up with a quickness. Is she a picky eater? Yup, just like her pops lol We ultimately decided to go with one of their lamb cake things that was in the shape of a pineapple, which was $16. We went to a nearby park, and Mila ate that thing with a quickness. It was a soft texture, kind of gelatinous texture, which was easy for her to eat. No stomach issues after, so that's a win all around. The presentation of the dog treats and snacks in the store is one of the nicest I've seen for a dog store. Definitely got the boutique vibes. Turns out they have a private back area that you can rent for parties, which is something we'll keep in mind next time Mila's bday comes around. read more

We found this cake / treat company last year. And Shanti loved it so much we knew there was no other choice when selecting her 3rd birthday treats. When the box came she knew immediately it was for her and could barely wait to choose her first treat. We love Mishka Dog Boutique! I typically don't write reviews on my pup's behalf but this boutique is a place we often frequent and I speak highly of to other paw-rents and friends. I learned about Mishka before even welcoming Mae into my life. Seeing their beautiful cakes and other goodies, I knew I would want to treat her here. The wonderful and helpful in-person customer service, sweet communication on Instagram, and genuine hospitality always have us coming back, plus how much Mae loves their cakes and gets excited seeing the purple box! Mishka has two locations, this one is their flagship in the Marina. The inside is quite spacious with a display case of their cakes and other goodies plus discounted ones. There's also a cute photo op and clothes. Being their bigger store, you can also book their private party room! The workers are all so kind, accommodating, always answering my questions, and giving Mae a little treat! These are truly the best quality, fresh, and most natural cakes you can splurge on your fur baby in the Bay. The cakes are all human-grade with no preservatives. It's impressive how beautifully each is crafted and on the inside, it's more of a pâté consistency. Paw-rents can choose the protein of choice (beef, lamb, chicken, and turkey). Whenever I pass through this location, I'll pick up a Mishka Cake. For Mae who's a toy breed and 15lbs, the smaller cake is enough for four portions. Though she'd probably eat it all in one sitting. We've also ordered the Large Birthday Cake which was a hit! We enjoyed sharing Mishka at Mae's birthday party with all her fur-iends. After years of knowing about this place and seeing the reviews and Instagram videos, we were finally able to visit! Our puppy absolutely loved roaming around this unique and friendly boutique. Our yorkie posed with all of the cute backdrops located around the shop. The staff member at the store also offered little treats to our pup to trial (while our pup demo'd her tricks of course!). This is our pup's fourth birthday and we continue to be impressed by the quality of Mishka cakes. Everything we brought is not only delicious (judging from his jumping up-and-down enthusiasm) but also aesthetically pleasing (see my latest photos of these cakes). Whether it's a birthday or just because, we have been coming in on occasion to get Biko some cakes and candies (that's what they call the little cakes) and oh it's always a winner.
