Stopped here for a quick breakfast. Very conveniently located just off Merritt Parkway. If it hadn't been raining all night, the picnic tables in the back of the restaurant (overlooking a little lake) would have been much nicer than the two little tables in front. My egg sandwich with cheese was fine but nothing special- same with my coffee. I think it was white American cheese - it would have been much better with cheddar. Service was fine, but not particularly friendly or fast. I was on the fence between 3 and 4 stars, but rounded down since there is no restroom for customers (sort of critical for a driving rest stop). read more

This is our go to place heading north out of NJ or NYC. Once again, I went with my personal favorite, #25, a Reuben with Pastrami, Swiss Cheese, Sauerkraut & Spicy Mustard on Rye. It is a substantial sandwich with a lot of warm pastrami. It's very tasty, though next time I may ask for Russian or Thousand Island dressing instead of mustard. My co-diner opted for a grilled cheese with tomato. She liked it, but didn't love it. Their bathroom is trhough the kitchen downstairs, and I'm not sure they want patrons using it, but they did allow me when I asked. It would be better if they could add one upstairs that's more accessible. This is a very busy place, many order ahead. That said, my longest wait has been about ten minutes. Once again, Mish Mosh deserves a solid four star rating for this visit! read more

Had lunch yesterday don't mind paying the extra money to use a credit card but then it asked me if I wanted to leave a tip no problem I gave 20 percent, found out from one of the workers they don't get it. I ordered a turkey scrambled egg and pepper jack cheese on a toasted buttered hard roll. I prefer Portuguese rolls but this was good too. Excellent service! Friendly, patient and supportive to describing their bread choices for the right sandwich. We even got a pizza slice to try while we waited and boy was it heavenly, thin crust and equal cheese to sauce ratio. We were pleased to find that on a beautiful spring day the option to sit outside by the lake was perfect for our long drive from PA to MA. The menu did not disappoint! There are plenty of drinks in the cooler, they offer hot coffee, some sweet treats and of course some Italian imported items. We were proud to support this local establishment and enjoy our cultures food. For what was a short pit stop , we immediately felt like a member of the Italian family. We stopped here for a sandwich while driving home to Massachusetts. Searched on google for sandwiches near me and this place came up as a suggestion. We both got a grilled portobello wrap. It was loaded with grilled portobellos, broccoli rabe, onions and sun dried tomatoes with fresh mozzarella and balsamic glaze. The fresh mozzarella was delicious. I would not have ever thought to put broccoli rabe on a sandwich but it was excellent with the portobellos. There are not a lot of places to sit but I highly recommend Mish Mosh for take out. I wish I could return to try some of the other sandwiches and house made pasta salad. read more

I work down in Stamford every summer and this place is right off of the exit I take. It is pretty delicious, but highly priced. I get a chicken salad wrap with lettuce and provolone. It's over $9 and it wasn't massively big or anything. Maybe I'm paying for local convenience. If I could give zero stars and a tip on how to treat others I would. I went to mish mosh during my lunch break and on the drive over there I kept telling myself that "hopefully this time it'll be different" but no, it wasn't. And I will NEVER be going back. If anything, I'm going to be contacting an attorney. I got a chicken parm that was already prepared, all they had to do was warm it up. The cashier was very nice, right up until I walked out of the deli. I slipped on ice that they had right on the front steps of the deli and I landed on my bad knee and on my hands. I broke my Apple Watch, my sandwich fell to the ground AND my knee was busted. I took a few minutes to finally get up and I held back tears because anyone who has ever torn an ACL and meniscus will know fIrst hand the weather and a fall can cause serious pain. I walked back into the deli and the cashier says "you disappeared for a moment" and I asked him what he meant by that and he said I walked out the door and disappeared. I guess that was his shitty way of asking if I was okay after the slip. I asked him If I could get another sandwich because the one I literally just brought fell on the floor. To my "surprise", the cashier said he would go ask the woman in the back, if that was possible. Of course when he came back, he proceeded to tell me the great news, which was they couldn't give me another sandwich. I didn't even need to explain to him what happened because he witnessed it. So, he told me to go to the back and tell her what happened to see if She could do anything For me (the woman who gave me the sandwich). I start speaking with her in Spanish and tell Her what happened. AFTER I explain why I need another sandwich. she proceeds to tell me that she can't give me another sandwich because it was MY FAULT THAT I FELL and they aren't responsible for me falling that I would have to take that up with the building manager. After that pleasant conversation with her, I walked back to the front and asked for a full refund including my drink. The cashier then took a few minutes and walked back and forth trying to figure out if he could even give me a refund for a sandwich that I didn't even get to touch. Finally, AFTER THAT WHOLE ORDEAL.. I was able to get my money back. I really hope you read this and maybe set up a workshop day where you teach your employees to be more compassionate, have some quality customer service and maybe even how to properly manage the front of your business after snow days. read more

There are a few menu items that are wonderful for vegetarians, the coffee is delicious and inexpensive (they don't have almond milk) and the muffins are killer good. I really like this place but sometimes it can be hit or miss which can be very frustrating. I'm a regular here and it pains me to say that on more than one occasion I have been overcharged and items have been left out of my order. I can understand that the occasional error but it happens almost every time i am there. I keep coming back because the food is great and their hours are good. If it keeps up, however, I won't be returning. I would recommend going here midday- that's the best time of day to get the most consistent and delicious meal. Saw a tip that boasted about how great the meatballs are and I couldn't resist stopping in. The name is pretty accurate - the sign outside says "Pizza, deli, coffee, market". Think small high-end convenience store with a pizza/deli in the back. They did have a small table or two but most likely just take out for food. The deli area has lots of pre-made salads, pasta, meatballs, sausage and peppers, etc (all cold). They also had a few hot items available (pizza, chicken cutlet, etc.). I tried the meatballs and they were pretty solid. Very flavorful and good texture. Sausage and peppers were also very good. A slice of apple pie appeared homemade and was pretty delicious but there was some burnt area on the bottom. Other items I noticed for sale were the usual cooler full of sodas, chips, pasta, baked goods, small section of fresh fruit, cheese, etc. I'll be back to see what else they've got. read more

Second time trying this place with a group. The first time I ordered the Mango Tango which has arugula, mango, apple, cranberries, walnuts with raspberry vinaigrette I received 4 slices of an apple on a bed of arugula that was close to being too old to eat. You can tell by taste when it's getting close, the pungent flavor normally associated with it becomes overwhelmingly acrid. the cranberries and walnuts were okay but the mango was sparse as well. I paid well over 8 dollars for something I could have thrown together for 4 bucks from the grocery store and gotten more. Additionally, we ordered at 11:30, lunch did not arrive until close to 1, and we are a mile down the road. This time I ordered the "Steak, Cherry Peppers, Onions & Monterey Jack Cheese" - now remember that title because it's important. First, my coworker who ordered noted that for some reason the price was really high last time, the order was off by 8 bucks, but she didn't want to complain.This time it seemed we were off by 12. We were all ordering off the online menu, obviously, so she called back. The girl that she spoke to was belligerent and informed us rudely that the prices had gone up. My sandwich, which is marked online for 6.95 was now 9 bucks. Had I known, I would have cancelled the order since I didn't have high hopes after last time. Well, I wasn't disappointed with being let down again. After taking the first bite of my sandwich, which again was half warm and took forever to get here (though the delivery kid was nice!), I noticed that there was no onion and no cheese. So half my sandwich somehow didn't make it here? Ok. After having multiple mix ups now my coworker attempted to call back. No one answered for a half hour and then when she did get a hold of some one it was the same rude girl as before. We will wait until she isn't there to ask to speak to a manager, again. TLDR; salad was not good and over priced, delivery time is hilariously long, girl who answers is rude and I didn't get half the toppings on my now 9 dollar sandwich. Oh! and the "steak" they use? What a cute place for North Stamford! And, on first taste, the food is really good for a change! :) Tried a healthy grilled chicken with broccoli rabe, mozzarella, portobello mushroom and balsamic. It was great! Too bad Mish Mosh is not also more of an eat-in place with more than a couple of tables and a restroom. But for the take-out and delivery deli that it is, fabulous local spot! Maybe because I grabbed a late lunch, the coffee out of the carafes was barely warm. I need fresh hot coffee every day along with my air and water. :) The owner cheerfully nuked it for me, but keeping the java fresh and hot might be one area for improvement. Offering lattes - even better. Can't wait to try the vast array of yummy looking home cooked food (including seafood!) and pizza.
