I was so happy for her when she opened her own place. My nails are always on point. She's meticulously clean, in 20 years I've never worried about getting a fungus or anything! As a matter of fact when I was looking for a new salon I had gone to her maybe a couple of times & I tried a place someone else had recommended. Less than 2 weeks I noticed some green! I went to Yen & she fixed it for me. All gone. I've never gone anywhere else! Well except when she was on maternity leave. but as soon as she was back! so was I! Her artistry is "chef's kiss". It's a little tricky to find parking-- I ended up parking on a side residential street which made me nervous-- because there's no parking lot (although there are 2 parking lots for Brick & Beam customers, but I didn't feel like violating the signs. This seems like a great place for walk-ins after you've had brunch at Brick & Beam-- because then you can park in the B&B lot with no concerns-- as they're less of an appointment place it seems than a first-come-first-served nail salon. They have a vast array of OPI colors. I picked an Infinite Shine one that's supposed to last a week but we'll see how long it lasts (typical manis only last a few days for me with normal use and extended polish lasts about a week). Once I was seated at a chair, they left me for a little too long for my feet to soak. I think they had too many customers and not enough technicians. They could have been doing my nails during this time or even starting on my pedicure, based on my past experiences elsewhere. They have free WiFi, which is helpful because I couldn't connect well to the Internet without. The password is posted on the wall for easy use. My technician was super nice and friendly, which I appreciate from any salon or spa that's supposed to have a relaxing or semi-relaxing environment. She told me how long to sit under the heat lamps, which was helpful-- most places leave you there indefinitely and don't tell you a time-- but on the flip side the 10 minutes I sat there was sadly not long enough as I hit my rear view mirror with my nail after I left and ruined the nail :( My mani + deluxe pedicure was $75- a little pricey, but the deluxe pedi I got was $15 extra. I would definitely return but I might try to find somewhere that can do a mani pedi for under $60.

I've seen these hard working girls go through the effects of the pandemic while raising two beautiful children and running a nail shop at the same time. I will never go to another nail shop until they shut down (which i hope never happens because i will be devastated.) Honestly, the service and quality here is unbeatable. The girls are genuine, friendly, and love their jobs (and take pride in it.) The shop is clean and promotes a relaxing environment. I see these reviews on the internet about their store not providing good service. I don't understand why some people are so nasty. If you go and get your nails done here and don't like it, don't leave the store. They can't control what happens when you leave the store. But if you don't like your nails or need it fixed before walking out, tell them. They 100% of the time will make it right if it is an instant fix. If you walk out of the store angry or upset and don't like what you were given, that's on you. Also, you chose the color - not them. Lida and Navy try their best to make it right so please be kind. Tips: 1) always call ahead so the girls can pencil you into their schedule. Walk ins are available but there is usually some kind of wait. 2) show up to your appointment 10-15 min early to pick your colors 3) they take cash and card but the card machine has a transaction fee on your card. They also take venmo.
