When we walked in, the service was good. We thought it was a sit down restaurant that a server comes by and takes your order but you order at the counter which is fine. It's like a cafe! We took a week trip to OBX, and we've been here 4 times. Every single time has been wonderful, their burgers, fries, coffee's, breakfast sandwiches, and so on have been amazing. The service is shockingly quick for how good the food is. The environment is nice and welcoming as well; you're greeted to sit anywhere. Only slightly negative thing is the higher pricing, but honestly the food is worth it. Their patio is nice as well and is shaded. Absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting OBX! read more

We had Mirro's twice in the week we visited Rodanthe. The staff was super friendly, and attentive. The first time was for breakfast, which my husband got as takeout. We ordered the sausage gravy & biscuits, as well as a breakfast sandwich. The sausage gravy was, well, awful. It had almost no flavor, barely any sausage and was an odd color. It wasn't made with much love, sadly. The breakfast sandwich was fine. Nothing to write home about, but the biscuit was good. The second time we gave it a shot was for a late lunch, and we shared the shrimp & fries basket, with a side of coleslaw. The shrimp and fries were good, fresh and crispy. The coleslaw was fine. I think the most memorable thing we had was the lemonade. All in all, we likely wouldn't go back. My wife and I stopped in here in 2005 when it was called the Atlantic Coast Cafe and loved it. The breakfast sands and wraps were excellent. We popped back in several times over the years during our Hatteras vacations and the food and service were still always great. I was sorry to hear the ACC owners called it it quits in 2023 as it was our first time back to Hatteras Island in several years. We thought we would try the new Mirro's place out and....were very disappointed. The staff were okay, not bad but also not at all welcoming. For the most part they just seemed bored and going through the motions until their shift was done. The place itself is the same, small but well laid out with a nice beach vibe going on. The food though was really abysmal, on the level of a lonely interstate diner at 2 in the morning. I ordered a basket of fried oysters. (How many do you get? 8 to 12. It depends.) They were very small, completely tasteless balls of fried burnt batter. My wife had a reuben that was also a greasy mess with strange tasting corned beef. I'm not impressed with the owner's responses to criticism and other poor reviews on Yelp and Google. Instead of trying to improve his business he would rather reply with snarky and rude comments. Poor attitude, worse food. Sad to see this Rodanthe landmark fall so low. read more

AMAZING pancakes honestly don't think i have had better the silver dollar pancakes were very large and i got those so i'm not too sure how big the regular pancakes were Tea was super good, but lemonade was kinda funky tasting but was still good. Service was also amazing waiters/servers were super nice to us and they cleaned a table as soon as it opened up because the original group left for us because we were a group of 6 but had 2 not there yet. Ambiance was super cozy and obviously ocean themed and I LOOVVVVE the ocean so that was really nice. This nice cafe had wifi and some really cool merch that i wish i could've bought but some refills were $1.99 so decided not to get refills for some of the drinks. read more

Staff was friendly. They quickly cleaned off a table for 6 as soon as that group left so we could fit everyone at the same table. It is a seat yourself place and then you order at the counter. They brought our food to us, but I think some may just be called up to the counter to get it. The selection of food is decent. The prices were a bit steep, but I'm owing that to location as it's at the beach, in an area that doesn't have much, and is across from a KOA. I ordered the French Toast (6 half pieces) for $8.99, side of sausage (2 patties) $2.49, French Toast sticks (6 sticks) I believe $6.99, chocolate chip silver dollar pancakes (2 pancakes, but they're about the size of regular pancakes you might make at home) I think these were $6.99 or $7.99, sweet tea, and lemonade. I don't remember about the tea, but the lemonade is $2.99 and if you want a refill it's $1.99. Food came out fast and was good. Typical breakfast food. The place itself was clean, a bit cramped inside. My only issue was the ac vent located in the ceiling above our table was dripping from condensation right on the table where I sat. I just moved to the outside end. Not much you can do about that. I may visit the restaurant again someday, but it's not a must. I would definitely recommend it, though. read more

This was some of the best food we've had on the island! We've been traveling to hatteras for over 15 years & we will definitely be coming back to this stop. Service was incredibly quick (there were only a few of us inside) but I would have waited for this! The grilled shrimp legendary sea food tacos were some of the best seafood tacos I've had! It was light & fresh & the whole dish was great. The grilled chicken sandwich was pretty messy but it was worth it anyways!
