All the food was really good and tasted fresh. It is pricey for a cafe but since there isn't much else around I think they just hike the prices up due to the campgrounds in the area. All the employees were kind and helpful. Small inside but plenty of space to sit and has a nice porch.

Great casual beachside spot with a relaxing view of the dunes and inlet. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, especially the pineapple on top of the chicken sandwich with a perfect sweet-savory balance. Fries were crispy and the house chips were fresh and addicting. We visited Mirro's twice during our stay, once for dinner and once for breakfast. It was decent food, but nothing stood out as amazing. We tried the fish tacos, which were tasty. The craft beer they sell there I'd recommend passing on. Breakfast was ok too. They had a loaded hash brown entree, which sounded good and had sausage gravy. I guess there are different interpretations of what are "hashbrowns" and what are fried potatoes. They serve fried potatoes and not shredded potatoes. The bacon cheese omelette was good and loaded with bacon. The employees were friendly.Since there are so few places to eat in this section of the outer banks, Mirro's gets crowded, especially if it is raining.

Wraps were great! Fish tacos need some kind of zesty sauce, they were dry & needed some creamy sauce. Food serving sizes were large, you could definitely split a wrap with someone. Cute little spot.

As far as ambiance goes,This place is a roadside beach type restaurant. As my 2 experiences in this area, you go up to the counter and order your food, self service style. The waitress was You get a glass and get your own soda from a soda fountain. We ordered the tuna steak sandwich and the seafood tacos. They both had great flavor but too much salt for me. The rest room was interesting. Someone had glued a broken toilet seat.

Two word takeaway: overpriced slop. I ordered the "Legendary Seafood Tacos" for $18.99 and the "Shrimp Po'Boy" for $16.99. First thing to notice: the shrimp taco picture is exactly what I saw when I opened the box. There were 3 measly shrimp in each taco, so essentially I paid almost $20 for 6 small shrimp in a mess of a taco (only 2 tacos for $18.99 is RIDICULOUS). The po'boy had exactly 5 shrimp on essentially a hot dog bun with lettuce... for another almost $20. $40 for 11 pieces of shrimp (not even locally sourced btw, definitely just from a frozen bag) is ridiculous. Mind you, you order at a counter for the food, so I'm not sure why they're charging sit-down dining prices. Don't be fooled by the reviews from other tourists. Eat anywhere else for cheaper and better quality.

When we walked in, the service was good. We thought it was a sit down restaurant that a server comes by and takes your order but you order at the counter which is fine. It's like a cafe! The food was pretty good especially the fries!! The building is very tight and loud but we also went at a busy time. Recommend this place read more

We took a week trip to OBX, and we've been here 4 times. Every single time has been wonderful, their burgers, fries, coffee's, breakfast sandwiches, and so on have been amazing. The service is shockingly quick for how good the food is. The environment is nice and welcoming as well; you're greeted to sit anywhere. Only slightly negative thing is the higher pricing, but honestly the food is worth it. Their patio is nice as well and is shaded. Absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting OBX! read more

Staying at KOA across the street and ordered take out. The food was sooooooo good. The service was quick and pleasant. The prices were reasonable. We ordered the tuna wrap, shrimp basket, the fish tacos, and the burger. Everything was highly above average. So great to have this as an option while we are here. we were so sad when atlantic coast cafe closed at this location, as we looked forward to eating there each year. FORTUNATELY mirros has continued that same tradition of quality, affordable, delicious food which is served up quickly! dare i say they are even a little better than atlantic coast cafe was. the cafe is also super clean with ample seating and a lovely outdoor deck. don't miss it if you're in the area! read more

We had Mirro's twice in the week we visited Rodanthe. The staff was super friendly, and attentive. The first time was for breakfast, which my husband got as takeout. We ordered the sausage gravy & biscuits, as well as a breakfast sandwich. The sausage gravy was, well, awful. It had almost no flavor, barely any sausage and was an odd color. It wasn't made with much love, sadly. The breakfast sandwich was fine. Nothing to write home about, but the biscuit was good. The second time we gave it a shot was for a late lunch, and we shared the shrimp & fries basket, with a side of coleslaw. The shrimp and fries were good, fresh and crispy. The coleslaw was fine. I think the most memorable thing we had was the lemonade. All in all, we likely wouldn't go back. Wasn't good. Got the Sunrise Wrap (like a breakfast burrito) and it didn't come as described. (No hash browns in it.) I didn't tell them or complain , so didn't give them a chance to fix it. The flavor overall had a greasy diner flavor, wasn't my thing. $16.90 (included tip and tax) for a yucky burrito I ate half of and threw the other half out. ‍ read more

My wife and I stopped in here in 2005 when it was called the Atlantic Coast Cafe and loved it. The breakfast sands and wraps were excellent. We popped back in several times over the years during our Hatteras vacations and the food and service were still always great. I was sorry to hear the ACC owners called it it quits in 2023 as it was our first time back to Hatteras Island in several years. We thought we would try the new Mirro's place out and....were very disappointed. The staff were okay, not bad but also not at all welcoming. For the most part they just seemed bored and going through the motions until their shift was done. The place itself is the same, small but well laid out with a nice beach vibe going on. The food though was really abysmal, on the level of a lonely interstate diner at 2 in the morning. I ordered a basket of fried oysters. (How many do you get? 8 to 12. It depends.) They were very small, completely tasteless balls of fried burnt batter. My wife had a reuben that was also a greasy mess with strange tasting corned beef. I'm not impressed with the owner's responses to criticism and other poor reviews on Yelp and Google. Instead of trying to improve his business he would rather reply with snarky and rude comments. Poor attitude, worse food. Sad to see this Rodanthe landmark fall so low. read more

AMAZING pancakes honestly don't think i have had better the silver dollar pancakes were very large and i got those so i'm not too sure how big the regular pancakes were Tea was super good, but lemonade was kinda funky tasting but was still good. Service was also amazing waiters/servers were super nice to us and they cleaned a table as soon as it opened up because the original group left for us because we were a group of 6 but had 2 not there yet. Ambiance was super cozy and obviously ocean themed and I LOOVVVVE the ocean so that was really nice. This nice cafe had wifi and some really cool merch that i wish i could've bought but some refills were $1.99 so decided not to get refills for some of the drinks. read more

Ordered take out and it was delicious. I enjoyed the blackened mahi wrap with chips and hubby had the nitro burger ( and it was definitely hot!) with chips. All was delicious and fresh. Friendly and quick service. Will definitely be returning while in OBX. A+ read more

Staff was friendly. They quickly cleaned off a table for 6 as soon as that group left so we could fit everyone at the same table. It is a seat yourself place and then you order at the counter. They brought our food to us, but I think some may just be called up to the counter to get it. The selection of food is decent. The prices were a bit steep, but I'm owing that to location as it's at the beach, in an area that doesn't have much, and is across from a KOA. I ordered the French Toast (6 half pieces) for $8.99, side of sausage (2 patties) $2.49, French Toast sticks (6 sticks) I believe $6.99, chocolate chip silver dollar pancakes (2 pancakes, but they're about the size of regular pancakes you might make at home) I think these were $6.99 or $7.99, sweet tea, and lemonade. I don't remember about the tea, but the lemonade is $2.99 and if you want a refill it's $1.99. Food came out fast and was good. Typical breakfast food. The place itself was clean, a bit cramped inside. My only issue was the ac vent located in the ceiling above our table was dripping from condensation right on the table where I sat. I just moved to the outside end. Not much you can do about that. I may visit the restaurant again someday, but it's not a must. I would definitely recommend it, though. read more

This was some of the best food we've had on the island! We've been traveling to hatteras for over 15 years & we will definitely be coming back to this stop. Service was incredibly quick (there were only a few of us inside) but I would have waited for this! The grilled shrimp legendary sea food tacos were some of the best seafood tacos I've had! It was light & fresh & the whole dish was great. The grilled chicken sandwich was pretty messy but it was worth it anyways! They've got a great selection of options for the small size of the restaurant! I'm excited to try their other options in the future! read more

worst fish and chips I've ever had. I went to the counter to tell the cashier that I couldn't eat it because it was so dry and she actually charged me $10 for a GrillEd Cheese sandwich! We ordered the South of the border omelette and western omelette, both with home fries. They both were so flavorful! The home fries had onions, bell peppers, and some seasoning. It was great! We also ordered half an order of French toast, but felt indifferent. The service was great and quick! We will return in future trips.

Usually we would rave about this place but maybe we went too early or something, we were the first to order that day and our food came out luke warm, butter didn't even melt on the pancakes, French toast was actually cold. Normally I would say get the pancakes they are delicious, sausage gravy and biscuits are traditional when we are in town, chai tea latte was perfect.
