It's conveniently not far from his house, so it made for an easy stop, and we're both really glad we decided to give it a try. Right when we walked in, the vibe stood out. The place is really nicely decorated with a cool, welcoming atmosphere that just makes you feel comfortable right away. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which always goes a long way. Shoutout to our waitress--unfortunately I can't remember her name, but it was actually her first day, and she absolutely crushed it. Super attentive, kind, and on top of everything. You would never guess she was brand new. Food-wise, I ordered the American breakfast sandwich (I think it might've gone by a different name before), and it was fantastic. Everything was just right--the eggs were fluffy, the sausage was flavorful, and the lettuce and tomato added a fresh touch that pulled it all together. Every bite hit. My buddy kept it simple with eggs, toast, and tomato slices, but even that looked really good--the tomatoes especially looked fresh and delicious. Overall, great service, great food, and a really cool atmosphere. Hands down, I'll definitely be back.

We started with fresh juices--detox: a bright orange juice that tasted like a refreshing citrus blend Immuno: a carrot, orange and apple blend. Both were vibrant, freshly made, and genuinely delicious. Eggs Benedict with hash browns: perfectly poached eggs, Canadian bacon, and a generous, creamy hollandaise sauce on an English muffin. Hash browns were crisp and nicely browned. We also ordered the classic breakfast with two eggs, ham, and hash browns--simple, hearty, and very satisfying. The food was beautifully presented, the outdoor setting was pleasant, and the fresh juices were a standout. A great spot for a relaxed weekend brunch.

My servers are usually always attentive. Today was very weird though, so I don't think I'll be coming back. I ordered an Americano and then was some discussion from the barista (?) on whether it was a single or a double espresso shot. Then someone, I didn't look to see who, was ranting about how Americanos are SO STUPID and why wouldn't I just order a $2 espresso shot instead. The guy sitting at the bar asked her to repeat it and they all laughed. WTF? If you're going to talk trash about your customers, at least wait til they leave. Rude.

On my most recent trip here I ended up getting their two egg breakfast with meat, potatoes and toast. The over medium eggs were cooked just right, i.e. not runny, with nice homestyle potatoes, thick cut bacon and their own homemade bread for toast. All at a very reasonable cost of $10, especially when considering the quality of the food. The coffee is also quite good where I believe it is a full bodied medium roast with a nice balance and no harsh notes. Relative to staff, this continues to be a strength of this business as they are quite friendly, with great follow up, where many of them have been here for years which I personally like which also speaks volumes on how well the ownership treats their employee's. Happy workers make for very good and nice wait staff! Overall a solid choice for Breakfast or lunch, especially if you are looking for a more upscale menu with daily specials.

Thankfully he told me there's cheese on the corned beef hash . Something interesting about michigan, I think they are the only state that serves cheese on their corned beef hash so whenever I'm in Michigan I always have to say please no cheese on my corned beef hash. The corned beef hash is made fresh from their corned beef, not from the can , so that always makes for a good experience. I look forward to coming here again. We were warmly greeted and seated by the hostess, and asked whether we'd like table or booth seating. On the mid weekday morning, it was nearly empty. I did note that they do a regular take out business well so there's always folks coming and going. I ordered a glass of Prosecco (~$12) and Shakshuka (~$16). The poached eggs were done perfectly and the spiced stewed tomatoes with a hard cheese wedge were delicious. Instead of crust bread, the dish arrived with a half piece of grilled pita. With all the liquid a bit more bread would have been a plus. The Prosecco was served in a wine glass. It tasted sweet and pretty flat unfortunately. Wouldn't likely order alcohol again here. The spices and freshness of the Shakshuka would however bring me back next time, with a cup of coffee.

The restaurant itself has a spacious layout with plenty of seating. Service was friendly and efficient, especially considering how busy they were. The food is definitely what earns this place its great reputation. The menu offers a wide variety of options, whether you're in the mood for something light or a hearty meal. Everything we ordered was delicious, and I really appreciated that there was something for everyone. I ordered the red snapper with two sides. One thing I liked was the variety of potato options--they offer roasted cubed potatoes, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, and more, so you can choose whatever you're in the mood for. We also ordered steak, and it was cooked perfectly to our requested temperature. for appetizer, we got the barbecue flatbread and that was really tasty. Reminds me of the barbecue pizza at Cici's which is my favorite pizza that they serve there. The portions were generous, and we all left completely stuffed. The drinks were another highlight. Their cocktail menu has plenty of choices. I had the strawberry mojito mocktail, sampled the margarita on the rocks, and the sangria was excellent as well. Overall, I'm glad we chose this place. Great food, generous portions, tasty drinks, and a menu with something for everyone. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in the area.
