I would like to share my details why I chose Post Road Carpet. I started my search in October to…read morefind the right carpet and right installers for my bedroom precisely 17'x 16.4 " this is a large room. I found a carpet in one of the below mentioned stores: The carpet is from Nourison Homes, Grand Textures Pastures. The carpet runs 13'.9 "meaning there must be a join involved as the carpet inorder to fit the size of the room. This was not going to be an easy project. So, I set out to find a 5-star carpet store with in-house installers. I visited major carpets stores in Massachusetts Danvers, Burlington, Canton, Andover, Wellesley, Wilmington, and the NH Monadnocks Region. I was very disappointed in the carpets stores I visited. The reasons for my disappointment are: A good selection of brand name carpets but installer reviews were 1 -star poor. Many carpet stores contract out carpet installers they are not in house employees and they don't care. Other reasons, sales people did not check if carpet was in stock, yet came to my house and gave me inaccurate measurements asking me to hold the tape measure, then informing me I would have many joins and cross joins in the carpet in addition off the wall quotes, other reasons poor selection of high-grade carpets, Lack of interest in the project, and just telling me you will never find what you are looking for trying to sell me synthetic carpets. I needed to find a carpet store that sold Nourison Home Wool Carpets and had in-house installers from a store that had 5-star reviews: In December of this year, I found Post Road Carpet in Acton, Mass. I called Post Road Carpet and spoke to Zach Thomson a sales representative. I told him what I was looking for and I was in formed they carry Nourison Homes and they have in-house installers. Zach immediately called Nourison Homes and found out this vendor only had 21 feet left of the carpet I was interested in. At this point, I decided to select a different color but same wool carpet from Nourison Homes. I asked for a quote. Zach Thomson came out same day. In hand he had a digital laser measuring device that gave precise 17.4 x 16 measurements of bedroom within 7 minutes or less. In addition, he asked me how I wanted the pattern in the carpet to flow, either vertical or horizontal, and where I would prefer one join. I was immediately Impressed. I received an extremely reasonable quote and I requested a wool pad. So, almost a 2.5-month search for the right carpet, right store and excellent installers I went with Post Road Carpet. And then the surprise,I was informed the color I initially fell in love with came off reserve and they had plenty of the color Pasture carpet available . The store manager Joe was also on hand and confirmed the availability of the carpet with Nourison Homes. I was told allow two weeks for arrival at warehouse. In two weeks, the carpet arrived at Post Road. Now it was up to me to schedule installation date. I called them Christmas week and they said the installers are available December 27, 2024. I was absolutely thrilled. We moved some things to prepare for the install, as I live in a town house and bringing in a wool carpet up 2 flights for a 17.4 x 16 room is no easy task. The turns to the 3rd floor are narrow and I needed 2 bureaus and a king size bed moved by the installers. Two installers arrived promptly at noon. My husband and I were so impressed. In less than 3 hours, they moved the furniture to a small office, they ripped out a carpet that was 25 years old and brought in the new carpet on their back and did all this without any mishaps, no nicks, in fact we did not need to prepare as much as we did because these installers were amazing short of a miracle. I cannot even see the join as the carpet was laid with perfection, The wool pad is so supportive and the insulation of the carpet removes the cold from the floor. Everyone is helpful, tries to help me pick the right material for the job, and even give me free range to look around in the wood sheds to see if they have something I can use. They have marine ply, and everything I am looking for when I need lumber. I even found them to be generous - I have so much spray paint from when they were trying to move the stock. I don't understand the English language point, I have never had an issue with the staff in the yard or in the store. Great store, I'd recommend them.

We were redoing a bathroom and gathering quotes and Peter at World of Kitchens was recommended by…read morenumerous neighbors. Peter checked out our bathroom and took notes and measurements but unbeknown to us, was not a contractor, just a supplier. He could not comment on our proposed bathroom layout changes or whether it would be possible to move plumbing or how big our shower should be. Before he left he gave us a number of a plumber and told us to contact him and see what he thought about our plumbing rearrangement. We expected that after this plumber came out (given prior notice by Peter that we were calling), he and Peter would work up a proposal with a price. We had a short time frame to work in and he was the last quote we were waiting on. We eventually got hold of the plumber who had no idea what we were calling about and turned out was booked for another month anyway. We then called Peter and he said oh, try this other friend (we thought another plumber) and clearly did not intend to propose anything but we should come down and look at vanities. At that point we were ready to give up and go with one of the other quotes. We were able to get a hold of this 2nd "plumber" who turned out was a contractor and also was not aware we were going to call but agreed to come out. The pro of the story was we found a great contractor and since we had found him via Peter, we felt obliged to buy some items from him. We went to the store and well, I guess I was expecting kitchen AND bathroom stuff but it was solely kitchen stuff. The only item we could get from there was a vanity and medicine cabinet and we'd have to go somewhere else to get the counter top and they'd be able to put it all together. The cabinets were not cheap (I didn't expect them to be) but we figured, we'll just buy this one thing from the guy and that's it. Of course the items would take 4 wks to arrive so we had to rush. At this point we were toying with the idea of a new layout that would affect the size of our vanity and it all depended on our plumbing which of course, was hidden in the walls and floor. Peter let us know the order cutoff was Fri (this was Sun) so if we could get him an order by then, we should have the vanity in time as to not stall the job. Our poor contractor rushed over, leaving another job, to come and assess the situation and do demo work. He spent 2.5 days tearing apart the bathroom and had his plumber come after work hours to decide if we could make this new layout happen. In the end it was a dud so we let Peter know via email on Thurs we were sticking with the original size vanity. Well no response from Peter and now Fri had passed so on Sat, we contacted Peter who says oh! I took Fri off for my son's birthday and have no access to email at home. UMMMMMMM......... what??? Even our contractor was flabbergasted like why did I bust my a** if it wasn't going to matter. Peter assured us though he would get the order in and it would still come in time.... So.... not sure what the deal was about the cutoff.... didn't we just extend our time frame another week? We went down to the store to finalize the paperwork (once again, me thinking we just have to buy this from him and that's it). We arrive and look over the numbers. He gives us the card for a granite place to pick out our vanity top. And oh, by the way, the medicine cabinet doesn't come with a mirror. So when that comes in take it to Mr XYZ and he will measure and fit it and that will take another week and that price is not included and I'm not sure how much extra that will be. OH, and I need a check for the deposit, did I forget to mention that? At least he offered to pick up the check from us. We left and I was not happy to be paying $$$$$ and having to wait so long for items to arrive and run around and get mirrors from one place and granite from another and extend our time frame. In the end we canceled our order (big weight lifted off my shoulder!) and bought all our stuff from Lowe's and Amazon which we love and was way cheaper. I'm not sure how much of a "review" this is. He is a nice enough guy and he did come out probably knowing we would only buy one cabinet. I just did not feel comfortable giving him my business with all these little nuances popping up.

I called Wayland Home and design as my local Ace. They didn't hesitate in saying to bring it in. I dropped by and received the best service! They didn't make me feel stupid for not being able to put the thing together and they were of great assistance. They had it ready to roll in about 10 minutes and even tested it to ensure that it was properly working. It's rare to see this type of excellence in customer service these days. While I was waiting, I was noticing how they greeted each customer at the door with an offer to help. Amazing and I'm grateful for their assistance!!

I stuck my head outback and yelled "Hello" and got no response. I then went up to the front counter and asked if anybody was in the paint department that could help me? The guy at the main counter told me that the guy in the paint dept would be back in just a minute. I walked back over to the counter and again stood there for a minimum of ten minutes and again nobody came to help me. I again walked back to the main counter and again I politely told the same guy as before that nobody had come and that I needed help in the paint department. Again I was told that the paint dept guy would be right over because he had just stepped out back for a minute. I politely told him that he didn't just step out back for a minute because I have been standing over there for 20 minutes at this point but again I walked back to the paint counter stood there. After another 10 minutes past, I could not wait any longer and was pretty frustrated that I had been waiting for a half an hour and that nobody from the main counter did a single thing to try to locate the paint guy and they all were fully aware that I had been standing there for an excessive amount of time. I totally understand that small businesses get busy, but the store wasn't busy! I will go there again sometime in the near future and update this review because I'm hoping today was an oversight. There's no way customer should have to wait a half an hour and basically get brushed off when you asked for help!

While their selection isn't as extensive as the big-box home improvement stores, they more than make up for it with outstanding customer service and convenience. Over the years, we've purchased paint (they do an excellent job matching colors--just bring in a sample), propane refills, flowers, garden supplies, hardware, and even our Weber gas grill, which they assembled and delivered. It's rare that I can't find what I need, and when I do need assistance, someone is always nearby to help. They also have several convenient locations in the area, with ample parking at each. If you value knowledgeable employees and personal service over wandering the aisles of a warehouse-sized store, Koopman's is an excellent choice.
