Did a great job tuckpointing my chimneys. The communication prior to the job was great but they didn't exactly follow through on what we discussed since they said they would fix a mesh covering on my chimney and then did not. They also forgot to pick up the sign they put in my yard. read more

We were very pleased with every aspect of working with Mirelli. Starting with our initial contact, the free estimate. We walked around the entire house and he pointed out (at our request) all the areas that would need tuckpointing. We initially asked for only a chimney estimate. When he arrived we asked about the rest of the house. We received two bids. We asked and received a discount (not sure if it was military or senior). His team was very friendly and did a good job of cleaning up afterward. They had to move some patio chairs we failed to move to access the chimney. Irish construction wanted 700 dollars to patch a small section of floor in my grandmas basement. I contacted this business at the recommendation of a friend, needing some work on a Webster home with lots of brick, and an older home. First the business was very responsive. I talked with their office and believe I spoke with DeAna, who was very helpful and timely in her replies and clear about when they would be able to come out and look at the job and give me an estimate. I believe this is a very professional business with skilled workers in their trade. On the day the works was to be done, 2 trucks arrived with a crew of about 6 workers. The primary work required was to rebuild/repair my chimney but I asked in the bid to give a look all around. So the crew had many spots to repair in addition to the chimney. The crew was very thorough, there were some spots I had made a note to point out, but the team found them on their own and did a nice job all around the house. They also did a nice job of matching the color of the grout to the home. Price, I'm certain I could have found bids at a lesser cost. Truthfully I didn't bid the project, because I simply wanted it done by experienced professionals. I'm very happy and if I need other work would employ Mirelli again. Called this company on a Monday, their response time on Yelp is 40 minutes. As of Tuesday afternoon I had not received a call, so I called again. A lady answered and I mentioned that I had called and left a message, her response was, oh maybe I missed the message, so I went ahead and made an appointment for a quote on Thursday or Friday of that week, as of today Monday no one had showed up nor did I receive a phone call regarding a no show. I called at 7am and a lady answered and I told her that no one showed and her response was that they were not open yet and she didn't know but maybe someone showed and I wasn't home, which aggravated me and I informed her that I have cameras and no one showed. I then informed her that I wanted to cancel and did not want them at my home and hung up. She called back to give me every excuse as to why they did not come; Covid, sick family, at this point I was pissed that she was making me feel like I was wrong for being upset just because they had to much goin on that my appointment was not important. The conversation got heated and I suggest that if they were overwhelmed that maybe they shouldn't be in business. She hung up on me. I called her back, of course she did not answer and I left a message that her customer service was awful! Well lo and behold she had more to say and called me back again, I didn't not engage this time as I had nothing more for this company due to such an awful prior conversation. This company is blocked from calling me and I am actual on alert that they have my address and might retaliate. I can't say enough nice things about this company. I'm a single female homeowner with an older house, and I get so tired of the BS from contractors. I've lost track of how many lying clueless jerks I've had in my home for a repair. John Morelli goes way beyond ANYTHING I expected. He knows what he's talking about, he's honest, and he gets the job done. If he's not sure, he recommends someone equally good. I use him as my only source now to find what I need to have done. Set up an appointment in early November. Mr. Mirelli came out, gave me an estimate by email that day, and they were able to complete the masonry work a few days later within a couple of hours. Cheaper than expected and the process was as flawless as one could hope for. read more

I thought going with a big company (Mirelli Tuckpointing) would be safe. Mr. Mirelli gave me a very high price and was very pushy. When I said I wanted to get two other bids he demanded to know who I was getting them from and then started badmouthing other companies. I went to the Webster/Kirkwood Times and found a nice young man who lived nearby in Webster. He charged me $300 instead of the $1500 Mr. Mireli was going to charge me and did a beautiful job. Senior citizens beware of pushy salesmen! Always get at least two bids. read more
