We've shopped from Mirelli for chocolate gift baskets and middle eastern chocolates to have at home for years. Their baskets are always so unique and impressive, and the chocolates are delicious! (Especially my favorite chocolate covered delights and all the variety (rose petal) nougats!) Finally this year, I was able to have Mirelli Chocolates do my wedding favors! First, I browsed online to see which decorated chocolates I liked. My only problem was that they are all so adorable, it was hard to narrow down! Each individually wrapped chocolate is a piece of beauty on its own! I went into the store to meet with Maral and Mireille. They are the nicest, sweetest, most talented and helpful duo ever! As always, they were super nice and patient with my confused self. They gave me their ideas on what to do. I knew I can leave it up to them without a worry because everything they've done is always so tasteful and gorgeous! As expected, the chocolates added the perfect touch of detail to my plate settings! The bridal arrangement they made was so elegant and dainty! I thought I'd create some GoodGuy points with Mother's Day and try a new chocolatier. I choose Mirelli's and I'm glad I did. My targets for affection aren't big sweet tooth's so with a little help with the boss chocolatier, she steered me to creating a few gift packages of dark Belgium chocolates and a tasteful rose for the packaging. The chocolates I choose were not overly sweet and matched well with a cup of tea. It was a refreshing surprise to find a new chocolatier. Terrible customer service. I had ordered chocolates on line, the Web Site picture of the wrapped chocolate was WHITE. First, I didn't get any notification that the order was ready, then I sent an email, no reply! Today, Friday I drove to the shop and the lady at the counter which was nice and I believe she was the owner's wife helped by trying to locate the order. Surprisingly the order was sitting on the counter! When I saw it the color was Gray and NOT white which the web site showed. I told her the color is wrong, she said that is the white that they have....Hmmm I had ordered before and I did get white, I don't know why she was telling me that. I needed my order that day so I changed the color to silver and she told me I can pick them up later today. I'm a Event Planner and I had to have those for the engagement party. I thanked her and left. 15 minutes later I get a call, I believe the owner which told me that since I didn't like the color I have to cancel the order on line, credit back to me then put in the new order and it would not be ready till Next week. I was very upset, since this is not how you do business, plus that he was quite RUDE. I usually don't leave any negative comments, but this was a situation which they were at fault but without any apologies. I went here for all of the events I had for my baby and was blown away by the owner's creativity and ability to bring my vision to life. They are able to create something beyond just chocolate and favors, they bring an element that becomes the center of conversation and brings your design to life. My son was born in May and they made a beautiful Noah's Arc design with animals and a beautiful arc; I attached a picture because I cant fully describe how gorgeous it was. For his baptism 2 months later they created a favor for my guests that they will never forget -- a box with almond chocolate (delicious!) and a gorgeous baby blue rosary, the box and ribbon were exactly what we needed to pull the design together 2 days later for our "welcome baby" party they designed a beautiful branched tree design with a stork and favors hanging from it. It was so unique and beautifully done! Overall, Ribbon Craft has NEVER disappointed me and the quality of their chocolate is unbeatable. Last week I stopped by to grab a few stuff as a small gift for my friends and coworkers for teachers appreciation day. The wonderful lady out front (co-owner Mireille) helping me out mentioned that designer Maral and owner Jack were out of town, so bigger orders would have to wait till they returned. But she was willing to hear me out anyways so I told her what I had in mind and she was SO kind and patient. She was honest and advised ideas that were beneficial to me. This is a great little shop to pick up a unique gift basket. They offer a huge variety of imported chocolates and candies...and it's all seriously good! They will let you sample the sweets before buying them, it's tempting to ask to try them all. The staff is friendly and helped me put together a custom gift basket for a few of my clients. The result was awesome (I opted for a mix of marzipan and baklava in a backgammon box) and the price was right :) One tip, ask to try their chocolate dipped imported baklava. I call it choclava. It's epically good! Everyone I've shared it with gets that eyes-rolled-back-in-the-head expression and asks where I scored it from. If anything, their location is their only downfall. I had a little trouble finding the place, it's nestled in the back of a shopping complex next door to a McDonalds. Inside the tiny boutique is literally filled to the brim with candies and decoration options. I mean absolutely filled! Your eyes won't know what to focus on. The customer service was wonderful, very warm and welcoming. I ordered boxes from them, one of the boxes arrived without a lid and Jack was gracious enough to refund me, even though it was not his mistake.
