Glad to have a halal Pakistani place open in Cedar Park. We came in around 7 pm on a Monday for a to go order and the place was packed. I got to chat with one of the owners who was very hospitable. We order two Bihari kebabs and four naan. Kabobs were tender and flavorful. Prices are also reasonable. Looking forward to eating here many more times. read more

Stopped in Mirchi for dinner with the wife. We were met with a friendly greeting when we arrived and seated right away. Their menu has a lot of options. The food was very tasty and well seasoned. When I ordered the boti roll, the young lady advised me that they took about 25 minutes to cook. I was ok with that. I also ordered the chicken biriyani and it was very flavorful. My wife had the butter chicken that was also very tasty. The food did take a while to come out (even the dishes without the heads-up). What's keeping me from giving them the fifth star is the bits of bone and gristle in the chicken dishes. I understand their meat is halal, but I don't like to think about bone bits when biting into dishes. read more

its very nice to have a new restaurant in cedar park that is not a chicken, pizza or other form of fast food. This restaurant is brand new but has a great staff that know what they are doing. The service was excellent, food very tasty (we had samosas, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, chicken biryani, followed up with a mango lassi to go for later.) All of the items where cooked fresh and tasted great. This is a small establishment with only a few tables, if they are busy you should order your food as takeout (its worth the wait.) We use to enjoy the food here but do not know what happened. We ordered DoorDash from this restaurant. The naans ($3 each) were rubbery and half of them were burned. Does not matter as those did not look like naans and had to throw them away. Chicken Karahi looked like someone is leftover. Hardly any chicken. Chicken Tikka Masala tasted OK but again not much chicken. Each dish was expensive. Unfortunately we had guests over and had ordered multiple dishes :-( This restaurant is off our list and never to be eat there again. read more

Only restaurant I know that serves Tahir Chicken in Texas. Visited few days ago, best food ever, excellent quality and taste. The food is AMAZING! Authentic, flavorful, big portions. And the service is even better. I accidentally underpaid for my order. (I wanted a chicken biryani, but instead I paid for two plain rice orders.) The restaurant not only upgraded my order to add chicken biryanis for free, but also sent the two white rices just in case I did mean to order them. Along with a very sweet note about this upgrade. I'm really sorry to write this negative review...hope this will push the management to do something about the quality. 2 stars is generous... This restaurant "used to be" my favorite for appetizer and few other items. We used to go only for appetizers sometimes. Since the management changed (and cook looks like though front desk guy said cook did not change), I got food from them 3 times and all 3 times it sucked. I did not write review first 2 times to give them a chance but third time is the charm (negative sense)... Curries are watery!!! Not thoroughly cooked...tikka masala liquid gravy! Really!! The best item used to be Aachar Ghost and they killed it ... roti and naan sucks ... basically nothing they can cook good. If they have too many orders or something, make us wait than giving uncooked and liquidy food. will try again after few months after checking reviews... Good luck!! (You do need it with the management and cooks). Oh, for the price of curries, quantity is ridiculously less. read more

A must try! A longtime fan of Mirchi Austin, I was excited to try the Cedar Park location. I can't say enough positives about the desserts! I tried the Ras Malai (cakes soaked in sweet milk), Gajar Hulwa (Carrot based dessert), and Keer (rice pudding). All of the desserts were delicious, authentic but can be enjoyed by anyone! I have dined in and done takeout on a couple of occasions. The food was always tasty, and hot and fresh. Some of my favorites are the Chicken Boti, Chicken Tikka Grilled breast and leg, as well as the chicken tikka masala. We also enjoyed the chicken biryani (chicken and rice), along with the Bihari Kebab (spiced beef). The tenderness of the chicken for the boti, and the beef in the Bihari Kebab are amazing. The meat is grilled, yet wonderfully tenderized. If you are craving some foregin grilled meats, or an authentic indian dinner please give Mirchi Express a try, you will not regret it. read more

We've eaten here a few times and the food is some of the best I've had. The flavors are gorgeous, layered and complex. The food takes the time it needs to come out- meaning it's not sitting in a hot box all day to be dished out in two minutes, it's fresh cooked. OMG! The food at Mirchi's is amazing! I had a veggie and chicken Samosa appetizer the other day for a light lunch and they were some of the best I have ever eaten! Last night we ordered the butter chicken and it was out of this world delicious. My husband had the chicken tikka masala that left him wanting more. Wait! How could I forget the garlic naan? Food was okay but the service was super slow. They should remove the name express in their title. 40 minutes for a to-go order and not one check in from the hostess. Terrible experience! We ordered food to go and they only gave us half our order. Once we reached home we opened the bag and saw that half our order was missing. We called them to inform them of their mistake and the reply we received was: "Well, you can come back and pay for the missing food." To that we said we already paid for our full order. They didn't care and had absolutely no remorse. Avoid this place like the plague. Also don't get this spot confused with the Original Mirchi. They are great! This is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the Austin area and they moved to be closer to my house! Today I ordered takeout Goat Korma with a side of rice and garlic Naan. Amazing! The grilled fish and malai boti are my favorites, my kids love the butter chicken, and my husband loves the biryani.. everyone loves naan of course! I would suggest for them to get rid of the crisp chicken sandwich on the menu.. very misleading as I expected is to be like a typical breadcrumb chicken in a sand which for my kid but it was kind of like this pan dry seared piece of chicken.. all the asian foods were amazon though! read more

The staff was nice and helpful in explaining that saag paneer and palak paneer are mostly the same. I got a to go order of palak paneer and garlic naan. The garlic naan was average and the palak paneer was lacking flavor. It's also worth noting that the curry dishes don't come with a side of rice; you need to order that separately. read more
