Have you ever walked into an ethnic spot, looked around and saw nothing but people of that culture? THAT'S EXACTLY what happened to me when I came here with the fam. It was a little intimidating but mostly exciting. The vibe here was mostly straight business. Waiters standing around like in a military stance, legs shoulder width apart, hands behind their backs waiting for any signs from their tables needing anything. I will keep it 100 and say that our waiter wasn't exactly warm and inviting but they were attentive. The atmosphere is decorated ornately and kinda made me feel like an emperor of sorts, or at least some random squire in the court. We ordered an absolute feast ranging from chicken tikka masala, to garlic naan, rice, samosas, a fresh mango yogurt drink and some flavored tea. Everything was delicious and jam packed with spices. This was one of the few restaurant experiences I've had in the past couple years where I gorged beyond my usual limit bc it was THAT good. My one minor complaint is the chicken tikka masala was more sauce than actual chicken which I found somewhat annoying but I quickly forgave them. The bill came soon after I requested it and the price was fair considering the quality of food we got was top notch. This place has got it going on like a fine lady from Beverly Hills but as you'd expect some attitude from a gorgeous lass that knows she's got it going on, the same can be said for a great restaurant. This is our go to place for Indian food in Austin. First thing to mention is that both their restaurants Parmer and RR, Staff and management is an absolute delight. They connect with you. They make sure you are well served, satisfied. Things to note on the food, their weekly specials are unmissable. Such an innovative start to keep rotating specials. Best Thatte idli and benne dosa in town. Their special goat biryani is awesome. Whenever we don't cook, we land into Sangam. It's an oasis in the relatively mediocre Austin Indian food scene. Have had food from here multiple times over the past 2 years and it is very yummy. The staff is always friendly even when getting the food delivered. Ingredients are fresh and portions are decent for the price. Some of my faves include the Paneer 65, Baby Corn Pepper Stir Fry, Samosas, Tikka Masala, Eral 65, Butter Masala and Garlic Naan. I was not a big fan of the Medhu Vadai but that's just a personal taste thing. If you are near one of their locations I definitely recommend trying them out. We stopped here on Friday evening. I personally had to try it when I saw a LONG line of patrons waiting during the holidays. We were seated quickly and the server was attentive. They even have a robot waiter, but it only delivered food from the kitchen to the front for delivery orders. I ordered one of their daily specials which was the drink. It was a pineapple ginger lemonade. We ordered the masala dosa, Chettinad chicken curry, chili chicken, special pepper chicken and garlic naan. Everything was flavorful and well done. They definitely accommodated spice levels and really delivered. The heat was bold but enjoyable. I'm glad they were not afraid to turn up the heat since I love spicy food. The chili chicken was crispy with great seasoning. Definitely will be getting that again. The special pepper chicken was soft in texture with a nice kick. It grew on me more with every bite. We came through right before the freezing temps. It wasn't too crowded but I was surprised at the amount of folks coming through still. We were seated immediately. We like Indian food but aren't the most familiar, so we had to ask them to help explain the menu and for recommendations. We ordered 3 dishes which were super generous. The dosa was deceivingly large, the spicy pepper chicken was spicier than we thought, and then with the butter chicken we definitely had leftovers. I love a good dosa and Sangam Chettinad provided this! I came here with a few people. I can tell that this place can get busy quickly so I was glad to have come early. I ordered their masala dosa and it was everything I was looking for. The dosa was light and crispy and paired well with the complementary sauces. My favorite sauce was the minty one; its so refreshing. If you don't have a high tolerance for spicy, be cautious of which dish you order because some of them are packed with some heat. My husband ordered their egg biryani and it ended up being way too spicy for him to eat. Don't underestimate the spice level. We didnt ask but I wonder if we could have adjusted the spice level so that it wasnt too spicy. The staff was very attentive and friendly. They answered all my questions. This is Sangam Chettinad's new location in Round rock and glad to say the decor, taste and vibe is still the same as the original restaurant. This restaurant is very kid friendly. I ordered food to be delivered home for the first time. I wanted to comment on how great a job they did in packaging their to go orders. My soup, appetizer and 2 entrees were wrapped with clear plastic wrap around the containers to keep them warm. The containers were quality storage already and the plastic wrap kept everything warm. The food is the BEST INDIAN cuisine I have ever eaten. This is my go to for out of this world delicious Indian food! Today was the norm, outstanding delicious food delivered to my house for an amazing lunch. I have to say I was impressed by the care given by Sangam to packaging their to go food. So glad to see them come to RR. The location is convenient and has ample parking. They have used inside space well to maximize seating but comfortably and decor is simple and elegant. Also has nice bar area. The menu is pretty extensive and has many vegetarian options and you can request vegan food but will obviously limit options. We had ordered masala dosa, onion uttapam, goat bone soup (my husband devoured this), masala chaas and mango lassi. Everything delicious except mango lassi since I found it overly sweet, thick and didn't have that natural original mango flavor. Service was great. Staff is attentive and welcoming. If you register your phone number you can earn points which translates to few dollars off the bill when earned enough. read more

This place just opened two days ago and I got the same.It is actually very good. I generally go do another place to get my Indian food. But this is a tough competitor for where, i'm going to be going now. This place was packed beyond means almost every single table, full and the servers. We're very polite, very knowledgeable. One of them asked me if I knew what I was reading, which I kinda did, but then he suggested the dish that I am meeting which you can see in the picture very, very good and I would highly suggest it. It kind of has a vibe of slightly upper class, but it's still very casual. They're uh, the restaurant is very open. Easy seating and is nice, very clean. I have no doubt that this place is gonna be a hit. The longer it stays open with the tastiness of the food and the way that the service is. One of the managers came up to make sure that everything was okay. Tasting good, I told him yes, the servers also came up to me, but not enough to bother me, just to make sure that I was doing okay? July 26, 2025 review: ------ We reached there around 12:35pm on a Saturday for lunch. It was packed, both the inside and waiting area. We were there with our friends and total of 5 adults with a kid. We got the table in around 25 mins. I've seen similar wait at the primary location too. As soon as our wait was over, we got called but table wasn't technically ready. We got the very first couch table which was in front of the kitchen door and literally no space to stand, especially not for 5 people, That was the only part I didn't like. The table was yet to be cleaned, didn't take long but needed to wait in that clumsy space wasn't best experience and it was totally because of poor management and communication between staff. About the food: We got thatte idli with ghee podi, filter coffee, Hyderabadi paneer 65, rose lemon drink, onion uttpam, kuttu parantha with paneer, Paneer chettinad with garlic naan, bullet naan and mango Mastani as dessert. Everything came pretty quick, like probably within 10 mins everything was on the table. Some of the items like thatte idli, Hyderabadi paneer 65, rose lemon drink and mango Mastani were from daily special. Overally service wass good. Note that they do charge 20% gratuity on part 5 or more. Our total came around $127. read more

I love a busy restaurant...good busy. Busy in the sense that this establishment is a well oiled machine! From the greeting to the cleanliness and most importantly the food! Great service makes food taste even better right?! Aayusha was my server and she was so patient with this white guy lol. I love Indian food and have a pretty good pallet for trying new things. I am a big fan of the Sangam Chettinad at Parmer and was so glad it opened in Round Rock!! I tried the chicken lollipop, mutton chops and mutton curry. The food didn't disappoint. Today the Wednesday Lunch Bunch had lunch at Sangam Chettinad in Round Rock. It's a very new Indian restaurant featuring dishes from South India. The restaurant itself is very modern and extremely nice inside. Not your average Indian restaurant!. We arrived a little after noon and were immediately seated in a booth at the front window. Service was prompt and we were brought menus to look over. They have an extensive vegetarian menu as well as non-vegetarian options. Monday through Thursday they offered a free cup of pea soup and a free beer with lunch. I ordered the lamb korma with rice and butter naan. Korma is a frequent choice for me in Indian restaurants as I love the velvety smooth nutty sauce with either chicken, lamb, or shrimp. Today I opted for the lamb. Our entrées arrived in a timely manner and I immediately noticed that the karma sauce did not look smooth and velveting as it does at Bayleaf and other Indian restaurants. It had a gritty texture but tasted OK however the lamb was full of gristle and not tender at all. The butter naan was very thin. As a group we were disappointed with the quality of the food. We left more than half of our food on our plate and certainly didn't bother to take it home with us. The staff was very friendly and professional. This is the second location for this restaurant. We have not tried the location on Palmer, but this location will have to up his game if it wants to compete with other Indian restaurants in Round Rock. read more

Hostesses were super nice and welcoming, our server Arjun told us about all the daily food and drink specials and regularly checked in on us. Every dish was packed with flavor. The battered and fried prawns were thick peices and paired great with the dipping sauce. The Tandoori Pomfret special was spiced and grilled to perfection, the fish skin was crispy and inside was flaky and flavorful. Though a few too many bones to pick through. The pepper chicken was a healthy serving, also spiced perfectly and well garnished. The butter chicken, though just a tad small of a portion, was delicious with the garlic naan. The garlic and butter was evenly distributed on the naan so every bite was delicious. The Appam was very authentic, crispy edges, and the sweetness paired great with the spiciness of the mutton.
