Food was good. Nothing knocked my socks off, but it was all good and fairly priced. Not spicy at all, though you can request spicy and specify spice level

Paneer and veggie coconut curry on the left and Mattar paneer on the right. Both are tasty.

I took one star for their portion size/price decrease. I get they raised prices but why they decreased portions at the same time... Food taste is still good and service is nice. I am not sure about cleanliness in the back, while waiting I noticed employees with no hair nets and the guy used bathroom without taking his apron off.

Love the service here! Super friendly and helpful. I ordered the Mirch Masala with Lamb and because this is more "American" I requested it EXTRA spicy (mild if there were Indian chefs back there lol) so it was the perfect level of spice. The lamb was nice and tender. I'd definitely recommend. *Don't forget to check-in for 10% off

My buddy and I came here for lunch after stopping by at Spec's to pick up my keg. The wait time here was fast when we came. It wasn't busy at all. I ordered the Tikka Masala Curry Bowl with Chicken and my buddy ordered Tikka Masala Curry Bowl with Lamb. It seemed like he got a lot more protein in his than I did with my chicken. Needless to say the food was very delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. They even had to deal with a rude customer who cut in line in front of us and the customer continued to be especially rude to the staff. However, the staff were professional and still managed to keep their composure with the rude customer. Parking is a breeze a because there is plenty of parking in the shopping center. I want to come back again and try the they items on the menu out. There is definitely some kick to the hot spice. But overall great flavor!

I came here today for a little lunch date. It was my first time trying Indian food and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the garlic naan, chicken tikka marsala, & the vegetable samosas. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was great too. It is a very small but comfortable atmosphere. I will definitely be back soon

One of the better places I have been to for Indian food in Austin. The Garlic Nan is well seasoned, very soft and chewy, perfect to complement any dish! The coconut curry is spicy and flavorful! If my open could use more vegetables but overall a solid option. Grateful for the many vegetarian/vegan options here!

After trying the chicken tikka masala and the coconut curry Lamb, I do have to give it a 5 star for flavor and also good customer service. I was greeted at the door and had an awesome service. The spices are on point. The three times, dishes were consistent with temperature, freshness of the meats and great portion sizes. It has become one of my go-to places from now on.

Our spread. Top regular portion lamb biryani. Bottom kids chicken biryani.

Tasty and modern! Had chicken and lam biriyani for dinner the other night. I had the kids bowl - chicken and my partner had the full lamb portion. We both opted for medium level spice. However, the chicken was created more modestly. We also got a side of roti. Over all the rice to meat ratio is a bit high. 4:1 is what I would estimate. The flavors are there. I also got the mango lemonade with my kids meal and it was delicious, very tangy but mango heavy. I added a bit of water and it was perfect. Their craft sodas are delicious! All of our items cost us $21 including tip.

Tonight, I ordered over $50.00 worth of food for curbside pickup. In order to do this, I was required to download yet another app to my phone. Although I need another app on my phone like I need another whole in my head, I downloaded it anyway. When I pulled up curbside, I thought "oh joy, how lucky, my order is ready" as the app indicated my order was ready. Accordingly, I sit in car and I wait, wait and wait some more but guess what, no food. Therefore, I go into the restaurant and there my food is under the heat lamp. But, that's not all folks; when I went into the establishment, I had to wait in line behind another customer picking up a to-go order but had yet to pay. This may not be a big deal to some BUT I specifically indicated curbside and input the make and model of my vehicle, my license plate type and phone number on the order as required and downloaded an app just to be inconvenienced by going into the establishment, and I already paid before I went in the establishment to boot. I had a specific reason for NOT wanting to pick up inside as I have an immune compromised person at home. That's the last time I shall spend any money here.

The Food: Manchow Soup - Flavor was okay, but the noodle topping could have been crunchier. BanBan Paneer - Tasty, but quite spicy. For mains, we tried Veg Manchurian, Bandi Style Noodles, and Street Style Fried Rice. Everything tasted good, but the spice level was high across all dishes. Pro Tip: Even if you like spice, be careful. We ordered medium, but it came out quite spicy with a strong black pepper flavor. If you're expecting traditional Nepali flavors, this felt closer to a South Indian spice level. If you're sensitive to spice, it's better to ask for "mild."

The entire meal was not eatable with the exception of the "Steamed Rice and Garlic Naan Bread". I immediately called the restaurant once I returned home from the resturant. I initially spoke with the nice receptionist and I asked her if I could speak to the manager for a refund. The manager (Ray) refused my request for a refund. He said I could go on their website to make a complaint online to the corporate office. Ray informed me; he would call the corporate office as well and return my call on Tuesday the following week with an update. Ray also suggested I give the resturant another try and they would remake the meals with less hot seasonings. I informed Ray, I preferred a refund and I did not want the food remade. However, as of today Ray has never returned my call with an update from the corporate office as he said during our conversation. I "Don't Recommend" eating at this restaurant ever!! If management is not committed and truthful to its paying customers this reflects on their business practices. This business chose not to do the right thing and I will not visit the restaurant ever again! If I could give this restaurant "ZERO Stars" I would not hesitate!

Please remember they make their dishes per order and this takes time. A good curry or biryani is not made in 15 minutes. We ordered several dishes. To start we had the samosas, pakoras, and my child had the children's chicken lollypop appetizer. For the main dishes we had the hydrabadi chicken biryani, aloo chole, and my child had the keema child's biryani. We also had the mint cilantro chutney and it reminds me of homemade chutney. All were very flavorful and very fresh. My aloo was served with a good portion of rice. All the portions were large. We ate here on Sunday and we still have leftover biryani and I'm finishing my aloo. One thing we noticed that was odd compared to where I usually visit was the server. They were kind of awkward at first and had the "melinneal stare." BUT consider that people can be neurodivergent! The service was great and prompt. It was a bit warm, but the server heard our comments and went and moved a big fan they had out to combat how warm it was. I highly recommend trying them out! To the chefs - please please please put the tomato dahl you have on your online ordering! I'd come here weekly to taste your version.

It was a little intimidating but mostly exciting. The vibe here was mostly straight business. Waiters standing around like in a military stance, legs shoulder width apart, hands behind their backs waiting for any signs from their tables needing anything. I will keep it 100 and say that our waiter wasn't exactly warm and inviting but they were attentive. The atmosphere is decorated ornately and kinda made me feel like an emperor of sorts, or at least some random squire in the court. We ordered an absolute feast ranging from chicken tikka masala, to garlic naan, rice, samosas, a fresh mango yogurt drink and some flavored tea. Everything was delicious and jam packed with spices. This was one of the few restaurant experiences I've had in the past couple years where I gorged beyond my usual limit bc it was THAT good. My one minor complaint is the chicken tikka masala was more sauce than actual chicken which I found somewhat annoying but I quickly forgave them. The bill came soon after I requested it and the price was fair considering the quality of food we got was top notch. This place has got it going on like a fine lady from Beverly Hills but as you'd expect some attitude from a gorgeous lass that knows she's got it going on, the same can be said for a great restaurant. One of the most memorable dishes we had was a special that our server highly recommended--and it was truly a showstopper. I wish I had gotten the exact name because I can't find it on their online menu, but visually and flavor-wise it was stunning. It came wrapped and cooked in a banana leaf, layered with rich, velvety saag, what tasted like thin dosa or chapati layers, egg, aromatic spices, tender chunks of meat, and curry, all melded together into this beautifully perfumed, steamy package. It was served with a cooling yogurt sauce and a chili sauce that balanced the heat perfectly. The presentation alone was gorgeous, and the flavors were deep, earthy, and incredibly comforting. We also ordered the curry goat, which was delicately spiced with a wonderful, slow-building heat. The meat was tender, the gravy rich without being heavy, and it paired perfectly with the simple white rice that let the complex spices shine. The tandoori goat chops were the family favorite by far. Everyone loved the smoky char and bold marinade. Personally, I found them a bit softer than I prefer, but the flavor was outstanding--robust, well-seasoned, and unmistakably tandoori. Finally, we ordered the Tandoori Pomfret to go, and I had it later with rice porridge. It was absolutely scrumptious. The fish was fragrant, beautifully spiced, and still juicy, making it the perfect comfort meal with the warm, soothing porridge. Overall, Subham Chettinad Grill delivers authentic, soulful Indian cooking with layers of spice, heat, and aroma that feel both traditional and thoughtfully prepared. If you're looking for real South Indian and Chettinad-style flavors in Austin, this place is a must-try.
