    Fish Pakora

We were in Broadway to eat at another place that closed earlier than we expected and we ended up eating in Mirch Masala since it was close. We got Fish Pakora, Lamb Boti Kebab, Paneer garlic naan, Chana Masala and Roti. We liked Paneer garlic naan the best, Fish Pakora was good. Lamb Boti Kebab and Chana Masala were disappointing.

Service as attentive and friendly. They even accepted a Restaurant.com coupon from 2017! And we were told we could have as much rice as needed. We like rice so this was nice to hear! The food was a solid 4 stars. The Matter Paneer was very tasty and the Aloo Gobhi had a nice amount of cauliflower. We ordered medium spicy and found it pretty mild, so keep this in mind if you like heat. The Kheer was very refreshing but the cardoman/saffron? was difficult to taste.

My daughter and I stumbled upon this restaurant after we found out the sushi spot was closed but we were pleasantly surprised! The restaurant was very clean and seemed new. The wait staff was very attentive and the food came out quickly. We ordered chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, garlic naan and rice. The chicken was tender and the sauce was smooth and slightly creamy. Although it lacked a little depth in spices, it was still very tasty. I loved my palak paneer, it had medium heat and had a good amount of paneer. The naan completed the meal perfectly. We ran out of rice and they gave us more without extra charge! If your hitting some thrift stores in Capitol Hill, come stop in for a bite!

    Gulab Jamun

The butter chicken and rice were okay, not a lot of chicken, and the sauce was good and creamy. The garlic naan was very good. The gulab jamun (my favorite) was great, but the serving was only 2 pieces for $7. Probably won't order that again from there.

Amazing curry! Loved the Spinach Naan! Will definitely be back! Parking is a little tough, but you can park in the middle lane and run in to grab your curry.

I really enjoyed the food at Mirch Masala. I stopped in for dinner and ordered the following: - Samosas - Butter chicken - Plain naan - Paneer naan * SERVICE * The guys that run the place are kind and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. The food was also quick which made our visit that much better because we were HANGRY! * FOOD * You really can't go wrong with naan. Like many other Indian spots I've tried, the naan was delicious. The paneer naan was good, but not my favorite. The butter chicken was so tasty but I felt like it was missing something. A hint or punch or kick of something... it was buttery, for sure, but I feel like it needed something to balance out that buttery-ness. Maybe some citrus or spice to cut through it a bit. Nonetheless, it was good! The samosas were sooo buttery and I loved it. Even though the restaurant wasn't crowded when we walked in, they were swamped with a bunch of take out orders. If you do have the chance to dine in, know that there is a decent amount of indoor seating and you'll be well taken care of. Cheers!

Stopped here for the lunch buffet on a Sunday. The restaurant space is nice. It's inviting and clean. The food was okay. The butter chicken was the highlight, and it was excellent. The tandoori chicken was dry. The other dishes were good, if pedestrian, versions of classic dishes. Service was friendly and helpful. A nice place for a buffet if your are nearby, but far from the best of Indian food in the Seattle area.

Vegetable Rice and Butter Chicken from the buffet. Delicious!

The currys were piping hot and delicious. I've struggled to find great butter masala in Seattle, and taste of India's hit the mark! Not pictured, but their naans are huge. My husband and I each ordered naan, and the amount of rice, curry, and naan was the perfect amount for a full serving of leftovers. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary samosa appetizers and chocolate torte dessert. Ultimately this place is fantastic and we look forward to coming back- would love to come on a summer evening and sit outside on their patio.

so, this place is pretty clearly, and almost objectively so, made exclusively for westerners…read more what i mean by that is that this place serves Indian food that will not attempt to challenge western palettes in any way - rather its goal is to have people walking out with a mildly positive attitude towards the food. if someone were to ask them how the food was, they will say that it's fine and say that indian food is an underrated cuisine. the first indication of this that caught my eye was on the menu, where it was listed that "all spice levels are American standard". The fact that this is on the menu at an *Indian restaurant* is pretty ridiculous, in my opinion. I'll get to the spice levels later The second indication was when the waiter brought out our naan, and said "Here's your naan bread". I almost laughed out loud at this point. Naan bread? Thank god we didn't order chai or he would've said "Here's your chai tea". when we actually got our food, it was as disappointing as I expected Despite the fact that I ordered the 'Hot' spice level (the second highest), this had utterly no spice at all. I know that I have a high spice tolerance, but you know it's not good when other people at my table who have a low tolerance cannot taste any spice whatsoever. I've had hotter dishes ordering the 'Hot' level at American restaurants! In addition to there not being any spice, there was pretty much no flavor at all to the curries. There was just no point to the gravy on both the Jaipuri "Masala" and the Vegetable Kofta, as it both cases it was quite bland and essentially tasted like nothing. The paneer and the kofta were ok - but nothing more than average. Again, the lack of any kind of flavor is just crazy. Our table also got the Biryani, which had decent vegetables but also suffered from a lack of flavor The roti and garlic naan that we got were really hard and difficult to break apart. not very good at all If you're Indian - do not come here - you'll get far better Indian food either a) at home or b) at another place If you're not Indian - I would highly recommend trying another place to actually get a taste of what Indian food is really like. This watered-down version simply isn't it. I would recommend Saffron Grill in Northgate for an example of Indian food done correctly on the positive side, one thing i appreciated about this menu is the customization available for different curries this is especially helpful when it relates to giving options to vegetarians, as it doesn't restrict people who are vegetarian to specific curry options having paneer, vegetables, and tofu options available for each curry is pretty good i also thought the spinach naan was pretty good. out of all the bread we ordered, it was the only naan that managed to be soft, and easy to pull apart the spinach inside tasted pretty good as well the complimentary samosas (although clearly reheated from frozen) and sweet at the end was a decent touch the portion sizes were also decent - the amount of rice that came with the curry was pretty significant

We were really hungry and decided to join them as I've had this spot saved too as the reviews were pretty positive. They were definitely very popular but we were put on the waitlist but I think it would be helpful if they took peoples' numbers as apparently they would just shout it outside. We weren't aware as we went somewhere else to wait as it was very cold. When we arrived, a different employee started cleaning a table for us and we waited but then the employee who did put us down was frustrated with us as he called us and no one of us answered cause we were elsewhere. We weren't sure if we had a spot after that but luckily the employee who was cleaning was done and offered that spot. They also did drop a glass cup after cleaning nearby which was concerning but they did clean it up right away. Once we were seated, it took almost a half an hour to get some to take our order. Luckily we did get our water refilled decently but there were a few times where our empty glasses were seen and ignored. I definitely think there should be staff training as it was non-existent. I understand being busy but you're across the convention center so it should be expected. The music was also so low I didn't know it was even on, they have a loud fan going on and even their TVs have no volume. It's a pretty awkward ambiance, especially with how they try to look like they are a upscale restaurant. It did take some time to get food and it seems like the kitchen was frustrated too as I heard the bell signaling food being ready several times. The food was actually good, especially for the price. The portions are generous. We never had paratha but our friend recommended it so we got the aloo paratha while my boyfriend got their butter masala and I got their tikka masala extra hot. It wasn't really spicy at all, definitely nothing like what I've had at other Indian restaurants. The curries were flavorful with good pieces of chicken. We might return if we need something nearby but there are definitely better options that I would walk for.
