A small park I saw on Instagram, so I decided to stop by while passing through Redondo Beach. The park itself is quite small, but it offers a nice view overlooking the beach and ocean. There are a few good photo spots, and when I visited, they were setting up for a wedding on the field. Overall, it's a nice place to enjoy the view. Parking was available in a paid hourly lot nearby for about $2 an hour. read more

I rode my bicycle from the Manhattan Beach pier to this little park. It sits on top of a bluff so you have some very nice views of the ocean. There's a dolphin statue in the center where parents will have their children sit on it to take a photo or just have the child enjoy a magical ride. read more

Miramar Park - Bicycle lean SEP2025 - Parks Near Me - Redondo Beach, California

Part of the City of Torrance, Miramar Park is kinda the unofficial separator of the beach at Redondo Beach and the beach at Torrance. Since Los Angeles County is accountable for the beaches (and not the cities), I guess it doesn't really matter since it's one continuous beachline. There is a dolphin sculpture at the center of the park, with benches and a lot of grass surrounding it. There is metered parking to the north, being able to use a cell phone to pay for it. The large parking lot to the south does have a mannable station near the entrance, but it wasn't busy enough this day. During winter hours, the lot closes at 6:30 pm (any cars left gets towed), and rates are $2 all day during weekdays, and either $3 (before 9 or after 4) or $6 on weekdays. Like other county beach parking lots, parking is free for signed handicapped on non-holiday weekdays. read more

One of the best hidden beach spots to come to in my opinion especially when other beaches are so packed now. From the couple of times coming here, never have any issues with finding a parking spot ($6 parking which is cheap) and also finding a spot on the beach. It's not too crowded and pretty clean. There's several spots to get down from the parking to the beach so there's no. issue with rolling a wagon down there. There's mats on the sand so you can easily pull the wagon if you have one. There's plenty of spots on the beach so you don't feel too crowded being next to another party. Lifeguard towers close by in multiple sections of the beach. It's definitely one of the nicer beaches in So Cal. I have yet to hit the trail though but maybe soon. read more

I loved this beach. It has several ramps that make it easily accessible to people on wheelchairs. The beach is clean and you don't have to walk far to get to the ocean. There is plenty of parking and perfect place to bring someone out of town. I personally was pushing a wagon so it was super helpful. It was this pups final trip to the ocean and was happy he got to experience it and enjoy the oceans breeze and fresh air. read more

Super nice beach with so much parking. I went on a weekday during regular "work hours" so it was pretty empty. The beach seems clean and calm and full of locals. Parking enforcement passes by a lot so plan to pay for parking every time. read more

Miramar Park - Parking lot - Parks Near Me - Redondo Beach, California

Great little park as you head to the beach. It has water fountains for you and your 4 legged friend. There are benches and a couple of sculptures. While I was enjoying the breeze, a dad was letting his baby sleep and another family was having a picnic. Plus all the dog friends that were around. I was glad to see that the humans were picking up after their doggos so no worries about stepping in something. There seemed to be ample parking nearby, although most folks appeared to be walking over. read more

Crowded all the time and dog poop everywhere. People don't pick up after their dogs. Dogs off leash with entitled owners not watching them and or unwatched children running around and up to dogs that are not theirs. Nice view but way too crowded and watch where you step. Not for me read more

Perfect spot to come and fall in love... with the views, the ocean, the waves and the beauty of how they all peacefully come together. With this being a dog friendly park, I'm surprised it's so clean. Tons of parking, bathrooms and access to a gorgeous beach. I'll be sure to bring a picnic blanket and basket the next time I'm back. read more

It's just a few days until Thanksgiving. My initial review was more than 13 years ago & the park hasn't changed much at all. This is not a huge space - it's slightly over an acre. But people love it & use it, every time of day & evening (until 10pm closing). Dogs aren't allowed in Redondo parks but good news: this is Torrance & leashed doggies are OK here. There's even a poop bag dispenser under one of the park signs. I don't have a dog so I brought my cat! Yes, in a pet stroller, crazy cat lady. It's an easy walk from home & the cat likes the ocean. Looking at it, I mean, not swimming in it. Parking: the park has a metered lot - or - park free on nearby residential streets. Riviera Village is like a block away....restaurants, shops. The beach is steps down from the park. Aside from the killer views, my fave thing about this park is the frog sculpture, "Dreaming of the Kiss". I'm not kissing the frog cuz it might turn into a high-maintenance prince. My California cat is quite enough to handle thank you very much. So...for sunrises, sunsets, happy beach cats & dogs and no bothersome princes: this is the spot. Set yourself down on a bench & silently give thanks to be experiencing this beautiful place. "Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend." - Melody Beattie, author Peace. read more

Great beach! Clean ! Beautiful scenes and super peaceful! The lifeguards are on point! Parking is great

The pictures on yelp made it seem like a big park. Views are nice, but very small. Not really consider it a park?

IN NEED OF A NAP! BACKGROUND: Without all the excitement of piers, marinas, and boardwalks, Torrance Beach is simply a nice place to spend the day, whether its surfing, sunbathing, playing in the waves, or strolling along the shore. Parking lots are on a bluff overlooking the beach along Paseo de la Playa. Numerous ramps lead down the bluff to the beach. Lifeguards are on duty, a concession stand and restrooms with showers are nearby. STATS: Parking: Street, or Summer- $3 per hour to $7 maximum per day Winter - $2 per hour to $6 maximum per day Hours: Sunrise to 10:00 PM Civilized restrooms Swimming Surfing Windsurfing The Strand Volleyball EXPERIENCE: After a loooong day of eating and far from home, a friend and I were in need of a nap. Not having been to a beach in a while, we decided to check this place out. Wow!!! From the sidewalk we could see some nice green grass and a clean park. As we walked toward the setting sun, we knew that we had found a tranquil spot to take a nap. Below Miramar Park is a nice clean quite beach perfect for kicking it in peace. Lying on the warm sand our wry body's settled as the beautiful sun dipped into the water while sailboats crossed in its reflection. If you ever find yourself in the Torrance area and are in need of a nap, or just a place of peace, check out Miramar Park. Review 39 Yelp 100+ Challenge 2015 read more

Cute, romantic spot over looking the super "nice" (translates to snobby) hills of Palos Verde! We packed a cooler and a basket full of munchies and had a wonderful picnic here. Gorgeous view of the ocean, plenty of parking, and lots of opportunities for people watching. Bring an extra blanket so you don't freeze your balls off. :P read more

Some days when you go to the beach, you go there to play on the sand, splash in the waves. There some days you go there to just clear your head and watch people. Today was neither. It was a time to just get away, get away from all that bothers you. To get rid of the thought that nobody cares about you, appreciates the things you have done for them, the thought you put into everything you do for them. Today I sat at the southern end of Torrance Beach at the small Miramar Park overlooking the bluff with Rocky Point on one side Redondo Beach Pier on the other and the vast Santa Monica Bay in front. Having my iPod with my tunes really helps relax me and clear my head. Today was a great day, sunny, slight breeze and quiet. You can watch those that run and jog along Esplanade or on the bike path. Families stroll through the park, young kids play, while others walk their dogs. A place to stop, enjoy one of California's beach parks. Plenty of metered parking and and street parking. The grassy area is great if you choose to have a small picnic. Fires, alcohol or fireworks are not allowed. read more

Miramar Park is a cool place to take your dog for an outing! Tip: While it's strictly against the rules, if you like to live dangerously you can even let your dog run around here off-leash on occasion ;-) When you come here (with or without your pooch) be sure to check out the frog statue in the middle of the park; it's named for Sandy Walker. I've been here a number of times, and have always enjoyed my visits :-) read more

Wedding info review: I've never hung out at the park. We just looked at it to have a wedding ceremony here. The grass is nice and it has beautiful views. The prices to reserve the area are cheap. I think it was $250 for torrance residents and $500 for non-residents. If you're not a resident you can have a "sponsor" that puts it in their name if they're a resident and get the cheaper price. It's not huge and some of the areas are kind of hilly. You can probably fit about 80 people comfortably. If you're on a budget and want a nice outdoor ocean view wedding ceremony this is a place to check out. read more

Quick & Dirty: A dog friendly park on the bluff of R.A.T. Beach (Right After Torrance). Awesome view! Long & Halfway: I live a few blocks from the Redondo Beach Pier and go running with my dog every other morning from my home to Miramar Park and back. One of my favorite things to do in the morning is stop and rest at Miramar Park and watch the sun rise (or set) before running back home. The cool thing about Miramar Park is that its totally pet friendly which is cool for my pooch. There is a drinking fountain right in the middle for humans and another for dogs. The other really cool thing about Miramar Park is the view! http://static2.px.yelp.com/photo/0Jalfd9v6mMpQcBAiY6XzQ/l Faaaaantastic! In the morning you can see the whole south bay up around Santa Monica and out to Malibu and beyond. http://static2.px.yelp.com/photo/dEjqm4H2XBImi7N20lwFow/l I stand there and love to take it all in as the waves crash down below and the west coast wakes up. The only downfall to the park is that it's not very big and it's not really a place you would want to have a picnic due to all the foot traffic. If that's what you are looking for then I suggest hitting the sand. It really does have some great views though, that is for sure! http://static3.px.yelp.com/photo/ie4v2uQAfqMqmMtPvylFqg/l Would I go here again? I do here every other day running, so yes. : ) Should you go here? It's a nice place to catch a sunset, most definitely! Catch Ya Later! Sam read more

I've been coming to this end of the beach since I was a baby. It's less crowded and clean and brings back a lot of fond memories of lazy weekends with my mom and little brother. She would pack a cooler in the morning with sandwiches, drinks, and snacks, pick up some doughnuts and drive down to the beach to spend the day. My best memories are looking for seashells and sand dollars and throwing the left over doughnuts in the air for the seagulls to catch. I will keep going here as long as I am able. Just the smell makes me nostalgic. read more

Really cool event! There were some really good used boards. Longboards, shortboards, old school and new school shapes. Prices were anywhere from $50 and up depending on the board and the condition. Excellent little hidden beach here. You can park your car a block away for free in the residential section and walk down to the beach. The beach is right next to Palos Verdes and near the bottom of Torrance/Redondo Beach, so you have a beautiful view of the PV cliffs and you're near the cool shops and the pier in Redondo. When we went here last weekend we saw dolphins jumping in the waves. It was awesome. read more

Cute little park that leads down to the beach. We come here for 4th of July since my father-in-law lives across the street. People come here early for the 4th and stay there all day to watch the fireworks. It gets very crowded on holidays. But it's clean and cops normally frequent the area. You have to walk down to the bathrooms though. There aren't any at the park. And there aren't many tables or benches so you'll have to bring your own. read more

Location: The beach park is located off of curving roads that is easiest to find for the first time with GPS directions. Parking: There is plenty of free street parallel parking and a paid lot. Amenities: There is paved access to the beach and a wheelchair / stroller ramp, restrooms, life guard shacks, and toward the southern end of the beach there is a food stand with umbrella tables. I saw a shack with canoes (kayaks?) nearby the food stand, but I'm not sure if they were rentals. Wish List: It would be nice if there were picnic tables, perhaps further up by the parking area. read more
