The rest of the meats were flat pieces like brisket and little steak bits. That's not a lot of food. It looks like a lot but when meat shrinks it's just tasters. I'm not impressed with the amount I'm spending with the amount of food. It's honestly not a lot when you really break it down. We did try the mochi and me and my partner agreed that was probably the best mochi ice cream we have had. Plenty of options, very delicious and tasty. I arrived later in the evening but well before closing time. I was alone so I got a small table to myself at the back corner by the restrooms. I haven't been to a revolving sushi restaurant in many years and this was the first time I'd been to one in the southwest. After the waitress explained how ordering from the tablet worked, I placed an order for the mackerel nigiri, the eel nigiri, and the Son Wukong roll. While I was waiting for my order I started watching the plates of food move along the conveyor belt. For the first ten minutes or so there were only dessert items but then some variety started appearing. The plates cost between $4 and $8 depending on the color of the plate. However, there were very few $4 plates and the rest were $5 and $7 plates. I didn't see any $6 or $8 plates come around. Each sushi item on the plate was three or four pieces and the first few items I picked definitely tasted like they were on the conveyor belt for a while. I don't remember what I picked off the conveyor belt because everything was some variation of a deep fried roll with cream cheese and assorted fish stuffed inside. According to the info on my tablet, after I slid five plates into the plate return slot I got a chance to win a prize. Unfortunately, I didn't win. My order arrived about 20 minutes later. The little motorized tray that brought my food didn't stop at the right spot and ended up about halfway between my table and the one next to me. I had to reach over and grab it. The nigiri pieces were really small and I found a fish bone sticking out of the mackerel. Then there was a really crunchy piece in the eel that I couldn't bite through. At least the roll was good, but it had way too much chili oil on it. I used the tablet to ask someone from the wait staff to stop by so I could get a refill on my water. It took ten minutes for someone to walk over and it wasn't because of the tablet, they were just passing by. My water was room temp and tasted like it came out of the tap. When I was ready to leave I used the tablet to ask someone to bring me my bill but once again, it didn't work so I asked a passing employee and they told me to go to the front counter. With tax and a tip my total was about $70. This was by far the most expensive meal I've had at a Japanese restaurant when dining alone. The nigiri were $6 each which was not worth it, the roll was $13, and the five small plates from the conveyor belt were $7 each. If I ever go to a restaurant like this again, especially for the prices I paid, I'll stick to ordering something from the kitchen. But I guess people go here for the novelty and not necessarily the quality of the food.
