a table with a hook on it

I wish I remembered the DJs name because he really struggled and could have used some help. He kept changing the songs at the worst moments and messing it up for people who were really tryna catch a vibe. Hookah was lit, literally. And the chicken sandwich was actually kinda good. Would try again......

Came to Mirage on Saturday night ( November 17) for me and a friends birthday. We arrived around 9:30. Cover charge was 10.00, no dress code was enforced and two people in our party wore sneakers. Some tables are reserved so you have to wait to be seated by a hostess. We had a nice comfortable section in the large main room, very good for groups but they also have a bar and seating areas for couples. The ambiance was definitely what I was looking for. Very chill, cool light effects and the DJ was on point- hip hop and some old school R&B for good measure. The hookah flavor we chose was good but the food was hit or miss. We had chicken fingers which were fried nicely but had no flavor without the dipping sauces. The fried shrimp we're nothing short of what is in your local super markets freezer but the fries were surprising good and plentiful. I also loved, loved that they give you an ice cold cafafe of water, so underestimated. There was some problems with the check at the end of the night. We had two separate checks for a party of five and it was not distributed correctly. Management didn't compromise and told us to reconcile amongst ourselves. And remember they take their tip off the top before you calculate giving more.

It's a lowkey Wednesday and looked on yelp for a spot Mirage grasped my attention with a a great menu both food wise and hookah. I got the blue mist and the hookah was bussing. The drink was a little weak. The wings made up for it tho. Music was new and current. More so hip hop and rap.

I came here with my friend for her birthday. This place seems cool. We got a section it is a bit overpriced but you're paying for the outing and the service so not really. The service was great. They refilled the hookah often and checked on us regularly throughout the night. We got the 3 bottle 3 hookah package for $800 this is all post pandemic. (If that's a thing) the bathroom was cool nothing special. The decor is nice definitely a vibe. The DJ did his thing. Played all types of hip hop music. All in all i had a great night. And a happy ending i didn't try the food. So no comment about that part.

a hook on the bar

I just moved here to Philly and I must say this is one of my preferred spots. From the service at the door to the bartenders I always have a good time. They recognize me as a regular and Amirah always treats me right at the bar. I recommend to all. Come by and have a drink. I always order the Henny Punch. Highly recommended if you a Henny fan! Mirage a cool spot Fosho no cap! Great vibes, good drinks, and the hookah be hitting! (Watermelon Mint get that thank me later your welcome).

For years I have brought others to enjoy the experience of the 7-course meal at $30 per person , it's left an indelible mark of gastronomic excellence on whomever I have introduced. The generosity of portions in each course is a testament to Fez's commitment to offering a complete and satisfying culinary journey. A word of advice to future patrons: savor the initial courses with moderation, for there are six more awaiting exploration. As the night progresses, Fez undergoes a delightful metamorphosis from a restaurant to a r & b laid back type of captivating hookah lounge. The ambiance becomes infused with music, entertainment, and an Aladdin-like mystery that transports patrons into a realm of exotic allure. The incorporation of a belly dancer adds a touch of traditional grace to the evening and always awes newbies . Sari A. pretty much covered our experience and what you can expect in her review, I found the prices to be fair for the stop here -- about $17 pre-tip per person. That includes a $5 cover charge, but they offer you a free water bottle, soda or Snapple as part of the deal, so it almost evens out. Sphinx is a good place to go if you want to feel young and vibrant but don't want a night of drinking. In other words, it seemed like a good chunk of the clientele here would fall on the lower end of the 18-24 age bracket. While this is very much a lounge-type atmosphere, late on a Saturday some people stood up from their perches on couches/chairs and danced in place. It was kind of weird, but whatever. The hookah itself was great. We compromised with the grape flavor and it wasn't ever harsh. Sometimes when I smoke (which is rare!), I'll feel a constant need to cough thanks to asthma, but this wasn't the case here. We replaced our coals once, and the flavor lasted a good amount of time. Things got a little sticky at one point but were later resolved by the owner. You see, I wanted to catch the train at a certain time, so I got in line for the bathroom. It was a single stall and there were two people ahead of me. When it was my turn, a young girl announced that she needed to vomit, pushed ahead of me, and puked all over the stall. Um. I asked for my check and said I needed to go elsewhere to find a bathroom ahead of my train, but the owner told me to hold on and they'd thoroughly clean the stall. They did so quickly, which I appreciated. All the while, the girl thanked her friends for worrying about her....as she stared me down with her feet on the couch and went back to smoking. Seems like a normal thing to do after making a disgusting mess and inconveniencing someone. Aside from that incident -- which was out of the business's control -- it was a pretty nice place to stop for out-of-the-box Saturday night fun. Keep in mind that the music is pretty uncomfortable (re: rap with lots of curse words and weird statements), but otherwise you should check it out if you like hookah! I'd go back if I was in the area.

Problematically for a dance club, the floor (at least upstairs, where the dancing was on this night) isn't level at all, sloping somewhat toward the street. Also, the bouncer was a little aggressive. In terms of the dancing itself, the level was quite low and there was a 2:1 leader-to-follower ratio (but again, that might not be the norm). I didn't stay long.
