They did have a two-stick minimum the night we were there which seemed a little extra but we understand. There is a ton of comfy seating but unfortunately we had to sit in the high-top stool area so we're hoping next time we go back they have room for us to sit. The music was good, friendly staff, good lounge, and decent cigar selection. We happen to go there on a ladies' night but I didn't get any special attention from anybody other than my husband; not sure if there was a deal for the ladies but I didn't benefit at all. The location is a bit tucked away and up some sketchy stairs so just be warned. The smoke eaters were working over-time the night we were there because it was so crowded but still felt fine.

As avid small business supporters of especially Black owned establishments we are happy to have found this gem and share with other's. Clean, great selection of cigars. Comfy seating, TV's all around, great music to vibe to. I'm not a cigar smoker and found it durable to sit inside. Service was impeccable, gentleman present was able to answer questions. Clean bathroom. Oh, this is a byob establishment. There is a bar downstairs if you're inclined. They do provide coffee if you would like to have one with your cigar.

We were seated in the train part of the diner and it didn't disappoint. Lots of greenery and eclectic Philly memorabilia too. Dorie was our waitress. Our table ordered: Chicken & Waffles, Breakfast Burrito and me - I couldn't decide so Dorie helped me create a sampler of sorts with Shrimp & Grits and 1 slice of Banana Foster French Toast. I originally ordered the Espresso Martini but it wasn't what I was expecting based on what I saw on IG. Dorie had no issue with getting me something else and brought me Espress Ya'Self. Now my daughter said the Breakfast burrito was full and tasty and her friend enjoyed the buttermilk fried chicken thighs, vanilla waffle, herb-maple chicken gravy, hot-honey, maple butter. It looked really good. Now imagine banana foster flavor infused over a Texas Toast sized french toast with caramelized bananas and dark rum glaze with pecans. Be prepared for the prices but it's worth it!

I read a couple of other reviews noting that service was chaotic and that was certainly my experience. After we were seated, it took a while for the waitress to come by. The table next to us told us that they had been waiting 45 minutes for the waitress take their order. It seems like we were placed in an area that was forgotten by the staff. Anyway after we placed our order and got our food & drinks, we never saw our waitress again. She came by at the end to give us the bill but didn't check on us for the entire show. We didn't even get a chance to order our second drink as part of the 2 drink minimum since she never gave us the opportunity lol thankfully there was no fee! For food we split the chicken tenders and fries ($24). Pretty expensive but surprisingly a decent portion with 6 chicken strips. Not to the fault of the venue but there was an incredibly rude and disruptive group behind us which was distracting to the show and really took away from the experience. It was disappointing that staff didn't do anything to intervene and tell her to be quiet. She was talking the whole time and her phone rang twice during the show!! Overall I'd probably come back for another show and mostly enjoyed my time. But at the same time I'm wary after the semi chaotic experience

I am by no means an edm/house music kind of person and that's what they played on every floor but I found myself jamming and feeling free. The amount of space there now is, is awesome as you don't feel overstimulated by the crowd. The fact that there's an outdoor area for people to smoke/just get some fresh air without having to leave the venue was something I didn't think I'd love so much. Absolutely would recommend this for everyone to take their friends out for a night out One thing to note - it was ticketed to get in and was $17 but I'm not sure if this is a thing that happens often

There's not a single bumper sticker or graffito to be seen. And drinks are still 2025 cheap... I think. But the inside is just kinda all black and neon... like "hey, we're cyberpunk now." Barbary, you were already cyberpunk when you were just regular punk existing at the edge of technological apocalypse, bro. Cyberpunk is crusty and biohacky, but I don't even know if that's what you're going for. Anyway, the place is nice. It even has what looks like a little bottle service area. I think back in the 2010s Barbary, the closest thing to bottle service would have been the dancing proletariat seizing the means of drunkenness from the owners and sharing cheap tequila amongst the people. And that's what I miss the most. Did the Barbary lose the jank and lack of maintenance money that made it an institution, or am I just old? The answer is yes.
