Okay so I went to this place 2 days ago, sat inside. 1st thing I noticed was it was dark, red lights, and chair with fabric. Against my better judgement I sat down in the corner closet to the door. I got bit up sooooo bad. I stayed for about an hour or so. When I got home and took a shower all the bites started itching badly!!! They have bed bugs on their furniture. The place is dirty. Great service. And more importantly the hookahs are well-made, some flavors will burn out faster than others, but picking the flavor is key to a bomb hookah! The only thing was, when we ordered a refill flavor. He said he would have to charge us for another whole hookah since our original hookah was a fruit head hookah - I'm glad we were told this before it was just brought out to us. It was basically like getting a whole new hookah (-price-wise). So that got expensive. I love just sitting outside - they share this cute street with neighboring restaurants and bars. Its so relaxing! The noise is not loud at all. BYOB! Everyone's favorite. They uncork your wine and beer bottles. ALSO another great and convenient option is to walk 2 restaurants down to the restaurant SET. You can buy drinks from the bar and head over to Orient. SET is great!!! I've been coming to Orient for 6 years now and they by far have the best hookah in the city. Amazing atmosphere, BYOB and the staff is incredible. They're attentive, so you're never waiting around for a new coal, and they are so friendly. It's also in the perfect location, surrounded by spots with food and drinks so you can grab stuff to bring to eat/drink while you smoke your hookah. Out of towners, so my group and I were highly disappointed. Arrived around 10, so the place was packed. We were greeted and was told our wait would be 20 mins if we wanted to sit outside. Ok, cool, we'll wait. Ended up waiting around 40 mins and then was told it's 1 hookah per 2 persons. A group of 4 and 2 didn't spoke. Was there for a vibe but truly this place is NOT a vibe at all. No music, no anything. Someone recommended this place and I'm not sure why! We were told BYO everything, so we had food and drinks already. We spoke to a manager, he wasn't the greatest to deal with. Basically brushed us off, He wasn't trying to accommodate us at all, so we left. We went on a Saturday evening around 9pm and it was packed, luckily for just 2 of us, the wait was short. They have both indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. My biggest gripes were 1. The music was really bad. For the day and time of night + the demographic of their clientele, I expected something better. It was mostly some type of Mediterranean pop but some rnb could've worked. 2. Was the $50 minimum for cards. Two people having hookah won't add up to $50...ever. This is probably the worse hookah lounge I've ever been too. I recommend Bside hookah lounge for amazing hookah & great service!I They spit & urinate in hookahs. They charge a $3.00 for a BYOB charge even if it's a bottle of water. They also violate zoning rules. They put chairs next door & disrespect tenants. You have to pay for water you can't get a glass of water. The manager is racist & is against gays which is uncomfortable... Come here if you want to smoke really bad hookah on a dry mouth. The furniture is very worn however and I think they could really develop their outdoor seating as well to make it more of a comfortable experience. The prices are standard for hookah, and they DO charge for BYO - $3 a person. They have sodas, bottled water and cans of pineapple juice for mixers if you need anything when you get there. I've been to several hookah places and this one is by far my favorite. My boyfriend and I happened upon it after grabbing dinner in the piazza with a friend. We wanted to do hookah afterwards and after I looked up a place that was close by, I was surprised to see a hookah place with such high ratings. So we thought why not. The atmosphere and decor is a little off-putting but the service and the fact it was BYOB, definitely made up for it. I didn't know it was BYOB at first so once I found out, I made my boyfriend run to the wine and spirits to grab us a bottle. The people who worked there were very attentive, they constantly checked on our coal and replaced it when needed. A lot of hookah places don't do that. You usually have to ask and even then they'll charge you to replace. My boyfriend is also a huge flyers fan and there was a game on that night so we asked if they could show the game and they happily changed the channel for us. I'll definitely be back. read more

Found this gem last night when my group got the sudden urge to smoke some hookah. It is a nice little lounge in an alley that is kind of hidden but is amazing inside. They offer a spacious seating area with couches and padded chairs. This establishment is BYOB and there is a liquor store just down the street. WIN! The group decided on the blue mist which gives off a fruity tasty with a tangy after taste. It was delicious and the hookah smoked very smooth. What really made the night was the waiter that helped us. She was extremely nice and very personable. She made us feel at home. Overall, I had a great time. My friend and I ordered a hookah which was very enjoyable and good quality, and we didn't have to repeatedly ask to have coals changed or anything. I wonder if this place has changed hands since all of the good hype on here because the shisha was really so-so, it was stuffy and a bit dirty in there, and a Lipton bottled iced tea was $2 (I was expecting like... iced tea... with ice.) I went with 3 of my other friends for one of their birthdays. It was super nice, the vibes with the red lights were cool. The waitress was super attentive, always made sure that our coal was always lit. The music was full of variety, really good. The hookahs blew strong smoke and the fragrances we picked (Sex on the Beach & Pink) weren't too rough and smelled okay. They were really busy so there wasn't a lot of seating, but I guess that's normal because it was a Saturday night. I'd call ahead to reserve a spot for groups. Nice little byob just outside the ever so popular Piazza at Schmidt's. This place is located in a really wide alley which works for them becuase it's a low traffic area and since the alley is wide, they have a huge area for outdoor seating. Their setup outdoors was quite comfortable. However, the wind started to pick up a little so we moved inside. The sofas and chairs inside were super comfortable, the lighting was perfectly dimmed, and the music was good. Some areas inside seemed a little tight due to some of the furniture being a little bulky. But as long as you're not too drunk, it shouldn't be a problem maneuvering around. There were two guys working there that were real laidback and very knowledgeable. The hookahs are priced well and are available with a decent amount of options, including fruit heads! The hookahs were prepared quick and the they were on point with changing the coals. Most important, the hookahs were pretty damn smooth. My only complaint is that they don't serve any food and their beverage selection was minimal. However, there's plenty of places in the same alley or within a 2 minute walk that you can get food and drinks at. Other than that, this place is a must try for any one who loves hookah. read more

Perfect customer service!!!! From the hookahs to the people (the people there really made the experience), everything was amazing. Byob was nice and the space was really comfortable. We were asked to sit outside since there weren't tables available inside. But we didn't even stay outside for that long and they seated us inside immediately after.
