After walking up a long steep flight of steps, I arrived at the top to see a full bar, music, Jammed packed crowd and a humidor. Not what I expected but interesting vibe. The humidor was small but had a good selection of premium sticks. I chose the Ashton Maduro 12 scotch to keep the flow going. At the bar I ordered a Macallan to pair with my cigar. It was crowded on a Friday night but found a nice spot near the window. A nightclub atmosphere with cocktails and cigars. House music and hip hop was the flavor. Whatever you have in mind they have it they also have different type of flight which I thought was cool. We had the whisky flight and some red wine. My husband and I came here after dinner in the city. I'm not a smoker but my husband really enjoyed the cigars and the staff that explained what they had available. He was also able to buy cigars to take home. The cigar bar is a great time and atmosphere. They have some high end smoke eaters that eliminat almost all of the smoke. We got there around 9pm on a Friday and easily got a table. By 10:30pm there was a larger crowded and a lot more people at the bar. The music was so fun and great mix of 90's R&B. I only had one drink while I was here, the Diry Bird, which was a pickle martini. It topped all the dirty martinis I've ever had. My husband also enjoy the Manhattans he ordered. read more

Located on the 2nd floor, this lounge has tons of high top table seating as well as a beautiful bar. The place is laid out perfectly to be inviting and intimate at the same time. A gorgeous glass humidor is located at the back and has a wide variety of cigars perfectly kept. The wine and liquor list is vast and the service is impeccable. Came here with my friend the other day for a late night drink. At first, the waiter was really nice and even helped us decide on what to get. Towards the end of the night, the lights came on and we took it as a sign to leave soon. My friend quickly went to the bathroom and I was getting ready to call a ride. Shortly after she came back, she grabbed her jacket and was about to put it on when this lady (not very lady like) walked past our table and said " we're closed, y'all need to GET OUT". It took us a minute to respond/react out of just sheer shock because she CERTAINLY WAS NOT speaking to us in that manner. Only for her to repeatedly yell at us to get out and that quickly angered us. Things got heated and the security guard literally had to hold her back from getting into a physical altercation with my friend. The craziest part was she was so proud to announce that she was the manager!!! If that's how the manager conducts themselves and treat paying customers, then that's just disgusting!!!! So to Melissa/Marisa, the "manager" you need to do better because quite frankly, you suck at it and need better training. read more

I actually love this place. However, the payment system needs to be upgraded. I work a lot, and I also balance a lot, changing purses, wallets, etc., Apple pay/ google pay has made our lives convenient. Apple/google pay is not accepted at this location. I asked staff if I could cash app them, who knew they were keeping count of how many times I left out the house without my physical cards. Security stopped me after I paid my tab cash app, I was asked not to forget my card again and he mentioned it was my third time doing so, if I did, it again, I would not be able to come back. I spend nearly 200 every visit there, the cheapest 66 dollars which is rare, just for the experience outside of home and work. To be asked not to come back if I forgot my card was insane!!! I love the place so much that I literally had to speak myself into being offended or mad about it. so, after leaving i repeated the guy's words to myself and looked at my transaction history with them... what bro? LOL anyways, I went back afterwards and grabbed any debit card/ credit card I first saw.... only to realize when I went to pay the card was one, I cancelled prior. smh i told the manager and he was ehhhh he said don't worry about it, but then again i was stopped at the door in front of everyone... and I looked so cute that night lol, was i to be embarrassed? No, however, if a person pays for an experience whether apple/google/cash app we shouldn't be met with feeling inferior because of our payment methods. so upgrade payment service and stop kicking people out at 2 am exactly... The best way to describe this spot is to say that if Meg Thee Stallion had me by the shoulders, begging me to name the best place in Philadelphia to unlock Real Hot Girl Shit energy, I know where I am sending her. Ashton is, excuse the generalization, a whole vibe. The matches striking boxes and the cigars being lit and the stellar spirit/cocktail list contribute to giving this lounge it's special sauce. I went on a Wednesday night and found the whole sensory experience fairly unforgettable. This is on top of the fact that the servers here are quick with a recommendation and super knowledgeable - so don't be intimidated if you're not a cigar connoisseur. I went with the obvious move and stuck with the Ashton brand, ultimately deciding on the 10 year aged maduro given that I wasn't really in the mood to commit to anything too *lengthy.* It was exactly what I wanted, super mild and enjoyable. The staff from the door to the bar to the servers are all great. It was fairly busy which meant we had to wait for our table but only about fifteen minutes. First you entered through a glass door and walk up a flight of steps. The hostess is directly at the top. It's a very modern design lounge with leather seats high tops and a long bar. Towards the rear is a floor to ceiling class cigar closet where there is a man that will guide you to pick out your cigar. He will clip it and even light it for you. The bar area is first come first serve. They were laying 80s old school eclectic music. Waitress and bar maids were very polite. It was quiet and smoky of course. Very laid back. I'm not a big cigar smoker but I took my friend here for her birthday to try something different. We asked the server for recommendations on cigars And mezcal and she was really helpful! We shared one cigar since we are not used to smoking. The cigar she recommended was really mild and nutty, and the mezcal was a perfect pairing over ice. The ambience is great too. You still get a nice lounge vibe even though they have sports on the TVs. The other customers were friendly and added to the relaxed vibe. We got a seat immediately and it wasn't too crowded for a Friday night. We didn't get rushed and they didn't have and spending minimums. read more

Paid $22 for half of a drink and was up charged $3 for a St patty's day drink that was described as a Manhattan made with black Jamison's and averna and was charged extra for the averna. Place did not seem too smoky which was cool. But later my hair did smell. Our waitress came over quickly and took our order for drinks and cigars. The Cigar menu was awesome. There was a steady noise level of chatter. The music was in the background. Later in the night, the chatter got lower and the music volume higher which was better. Service was seriously lacking. Ten of us and there were three overflowing ashtrays. None were ever emptied while we were there. Hard to get drink refills. Cigar trash (wrappers) stayed on table the whole night. Let's start w the negative. I come here about twice a year or so, I live in Jersey. I always try to get there at 4p(time of opening) so I can try to get that window seat on the corner. It's just usually me and someone else. The first 3 times I went there, this was ok with them. I have pictures to prove it. This time around, this wasn't the case and me and my best friend was deterred from sitting there, only for big parties. This probably isn't her fault and might be policy but I felt that it wasn't a big deal. Reserved for big parties , not that it matters but during our stay no big parties showed up from 4-8pm. It was always a Tuesday night. We even kind of joked saying we'd spend as much as a big party and she replied it's not about that. Which I was glad to hear. But it's just frustrating when you love a place, travel 90+ minutes to hang for a few hours and still spend over $1000. Hopefully this feeling wears off soon. read more

This is one of my favorite bars in Philly and one of the nicest and coolest cigar bars in the country. The cocktails are always impressive. The beer list is very respectable. The servers are always nice and attentive. The seating areas are comfortable, the most relaxing being the coaches in the front of the place. The cigar list in the lounge is pretty good, and features many of the Ashton brand cigars. There are obviously more options in the Holt's Cigar Shop downstairs, and if the shop is open, you are more than welcome to buy a cigar there and smoke it in the lounge. The lounge plays a eclectic range of music, from rat pack to hip hop (mainly on weekends). This is a great happy hour and late night spot. They have small bites like cheese and meat plates, but not full meals. I will say I was very disappointed when they started a $10 cover charge for guys on Fridays and Saturdays. My guess is that they were getting too packed. Since the cover charge, this is now a more ideal spot for Thursday night. read more
