Have been to Graffiti bar a few times and it's always an all around good time. Generally a very popular spot especially during their happy hour 4-7pm. It's a smaller enclosed back patio area with one long table, a long bar, and some wall seats. It definitely gets packed so get there early or be lucky to grab a spot. Staff here always good about making sure everything runs smoothly and it's a fun time. Their food options are pretty fairly priced and most are good picks. Haven't had everything personally, but the banh mi, bao buns, and kimchi fried rice are all decent. Crab rangoons, dumplings, and satay skewers were fine but I wouldn't get again and instead try something else. Drinks also good even at regular price. I went into the Graffiti Bar for Happy hour, which runs from 4-7PM. It was very busy and tough to get a seat, but we managed. It is located behind the restaurant, you can walk down the alley or walk though Sampan (to the left behind the kitchen). Beef Satay...very good! Definitely would get this again. Kobe Sliders...good Chili Crisp Chicken Bao...very good, balanced with all the right flavors and the Bao Bun is like biting into a cloud of dough. Kim Chee Fried Rice...really good, this was definitely our favorite. Riced cooked perfectly and the flavors were so memorable with the egg in the middle. My friend and I LOVE coming here for happy hour! It's a little bit hidden and you have to walk down the alley next to Sampan. They have a menu of fun cocktails and small plates. Their happy hour is the BEST! The deals are truly unmatched. My favorite drink is the Kantoi Road ($9 on happy hour). Foodwise, I love the edamame dumplings, chili crisp chicken bao (my fav!), brussel sprouts, and kim chee fried rice, I would suggest getting here right at 4, especially on a nice day. The seats fill up fast! Only reason that this isn't 5 stars is that if you aren't at the bar, you have to get up to order at the bar. The bar is usually packed and it can be hard to squeeze in to get service. If they had 1 or 2 servers to do the other sections, I think that would be a great improvement! read more

My first time back here in a decade (since kids) and this place not only still got it, but it's better than I remember! Use to love winding up here in my 20s. Cool secret little spot, good drinks, great place to hang with friends. Fish bowls were always fun too. Came back a couple weeks ago to cap off a night out in the city. Place was crowded with a mix of ages, which I appreciate now that I'm getting near 40. Saw a bunch of people eating and I got excited. Ordered like 5 appetizers to share because everything sounded so good. Loved the dan dan wontons and the cheesesteak buns. Everything came out very fast. Such perfect food to eat after a night of drinking. Some communal tables so we got to chat with some folks and even shared some of our apps because I thought they deserved to know how good it was. Lively bar. We visited Graffiti Bar on a Wednesday night, and it was packed when we first arrived but thinned out as time passed. The first room is dominated by the bar and a large television perpendicular to the bar. The tables are long and are paired with stools. The bar was pretty loud when we arrived and predictably became less loud as people left. I tried the hash old fashioned and their Manhattan over the course of the evening. The old fashioned was as good as any I have tried. The Manhattan was a bit more cloying than I'm used to. Overall, I had a decent time at Graffiti Bar, but I think there are better options in Philly. read more

The Kantoi road drink is my favorite, it's basically just a spicy margarita. Their drink special of the day however....yeah i'd pass on that. It was an iced tea type of drink but lowkey tasted like sewer water and wasn't worth the $5 that it was. Happy hour here is pretty decent. They had both drink, food, appetizers. The pizza on the happy hour def can feed two if it's two light eaters. It's pretty spacious and obviously a second floor with bright light is always nice. Super open concept with very nice lighting. The wait staff made sure me and my friends were taken care off and made sure to check in often enough for drink orders and snacks. Food 10/10 Great happy hour for the value and the food was quite killer too. We ordered the tequila scorpion bowl, which was a huge jug, probably had 5 or 6 shots in there, for the two of us. It destroyed us in a good way. They came out with some extra kimchi fried rice, so we gladly accepted it, although I wouldn't recommend ordering it because it tasted too watery. The edamame dumplings were spectacular, and the broccoli were quite good as well. The pork buns were decent, edible, but not the highlight of the menu. Atmosphere 8/10 Honestly love the vibes of this hidden area a lot more than the inside of Sampan, as there was sunlight streaming through the ceiling, a very high ceiling at that. The bar area was very clean, plenty of bar space, felt a lot more lively than the inside seating area. Had some air conditioning so it wasn't steamy hot despite having a clear roof. We had a great time in the outdoor bar area behind graffiti bar, after we braved the alleyway. The space is well decorated and the bar provides a lot of space for an average night. On Friday it was a little too crowded so you'll want to play that by ear, but we still found places to stand and enjoy our drinks. The beers are as described - crisp, sunshine-y, etc. and the cocktails are beautifully presented, and my friends said they were quite tasty. Graffiti bar has been home to one of my favorite happy hours for a long time. From the minute you arrive, you're greeted by one of the many friendly security staff members working at the entrance. After the construction done during the pandemic, the space feels bigger and looks great! Lately, I have heard that the food items from the kitchen at Graffiti and Sampan have not been up to par. I'm happy to report that during my visit, everything I ordered was as delicious as expected. I'm addicted to the Korean BBQ Beef Satay, so we ordered a few of those. The kimchi fried rice (with the egg mixed in!!!) is another menu favorite of mine so we ordered that too. We were easily able to grab two seats at the bar. The bartenders were prompt with serving us water and providing menus. They were very attentive despite it being very busy. This is a semi hidden popular backyard bar. The service started scary cause I was an outsider who didn't know the proper etiquette of Philly bars. Once I had a drink though, Amanda the bartender was amazing. Ran into two girls who also were running solo and learned some new connections and Amanda made all of our nights. Went through some of the happy hour food menu, the potstickers, albeit overpriced iny eye, we're still very delicious. The satay and brussel sprout were great. The sliders, I can def say it's a standard slider, no specials. The drinks and Amanda's attitude were amazing. This place hasn't changed a bit from when I used to come year in the late 2010s. It's just a cool place to grab a drink and hang out for a bit. The food is very good as well if you are craving a snack. Whenever I have come here, the duration of our stay is usually limited because it gets extremely crowded and a bit cold in the winter. Last night was no different. We got lucky and managed to snag a spot in the middle of that long table to park ourselves and enjoy our one round (usually the limit) of drinks. The population density can be on the denser side meaning I usually have to scream to be heard and there was definitely a period of time where adjacent patrons were pushing up against us. It's just that kind of place. I didn't have food this time around but I certainly noticed the mouth watering smells coming from whatever was being served. My friend noted, "that's the kimchi" lmao. Visited Graffiti Bar earlier in the spring with a friend for happy hour! I had heard good things about this somewhat "secret" bar right behind Sampan, so I was excited to try it out. The spot definitely is secretive - there is a small alleyway right next to Sampan that you walk down to get back to the outdoor bar / lounge space. It was probably the first actually nice day of spring when we visited, so it was pretty crowded for happy hour. All the tables / seating is on a first-come basis, so it was a tough to find a spot, but we snagged some counter space near the bar where we could stand and hang out, so it worked out well. Even though it's a decent sized space, it was incredibly loud there, so it was a little hard to hold conversation and hard to hear the bartender. Despite it being a little crowded and loud, the vibe was pretty cool and it did feel like you were in an exclusive location! The menu at Graffiti Bar mirrors the HH menu at Sampan, which is cool. Their deals are excellent for happy hour, so we were really glad we could take advantage - I love a happy hour that goes until 7PM, so thank you for providing that! We both snagged their happy hour special cocktail, which featured gin, mint, and watermelon. For the first warm day of the season, it was the perfect refreshing post-work drink! And at just $5, you really can't beat it. For food, we shared a few small plates, including the duck samosa, the crispy brussel sprouts, and the kobe sliders. The brussel sprouts were the star of the show - the hint of spice was just right, and the crispy-ness was unlike anything I could ever capture myself. The sliders were OK - the bun was tastier than most, but the flavors didn't hit any differently than other regular sliders I've had. The samosas were a nice option, and we enjoyed the tamarind flavor and the accompanying yogurt sauce. Sharing these plates was actually a good amount of food and we left decently full! The prices for plates range from $6-7, so we also left without breaking our wallets. Overall, we really enjoyed our happy hour at Graffiti Bar! The spot is really cool and feels quite secluded for being right in center city. It definitely can get crowded, especially with the seat-yourself concept, so I would encourage you to get their on the earlier side of HH if possible (although I appreciate the 7PM end of the good deals). Definitely don't sleep on their awesome cocktail and food deals - certainly entertain the brussel sprouts and consider getting their specialty cocktail for just $5 a pop. A friend told me about this bar so when my husband and I visited Philly this past weekend, we decided to drop by. We came during happy hour and were lucky we didn't have to wait too long for seats to become available. We only got drinks but they were good and very reasonably priced. We saw people next to us order food from their happy hour menu and they looked good, smelled good, and seemed like a decent amount of food for the price! Ambiance is also very cute. The entrance of Graffiti Bar is tucked away in a little alleyway, but don't let the unassuming entrance fool you. This is one of my favorite bar spots in Philly! Upon entering, you're transported into a small, speakeasy style bar with an excellent drink selection and great company. It's connected to Sampan, but seems entirely separate from that experience. Josh, one of the bartenders was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about drinks and when I wasn't sure what drink to order, he suggested one that I thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely order again!
