My boyfriend and I recently met one of my close friends at Static! This is the new cocktail bar that took over Tria Washington Square. We arrived not long after opening, and we were able to sit upstairs. The decor is cute and welcoming, and all staff members were very friendly. For my cocktails, I ordered the Merang-a-thang and Hawaiian 75. I wouldn't be able to pick a favorite, as they were both so refreshing and well-crafted. My friend and boyfriend enjoyed their drinks as well, and my boyfriend had a chips app that he inhaled (did not get to try it). Prices were what you'd expect. I'd definitely go back on future Philly trips. I love that it's so close to the PATCO too.

What a cool and unique neighborhood speakeasy! We met friends here on a Saturday early evening for some pre-dinner cocktails and it was such a great experience. The bar looked very cool but since there was 4 of us- we sat at a table upstairs. This place had tiki and cocktail bar vibes and I loved their eclectic menu. I got the banana scotch drink and the sweet potato rye drinks and the were both excellent! We will be back and next time will sit at the bar!

What a great little bar! I had the bartender recommend a Sangiovese wine and it was perfect! I can't wait to return.

Cute place for fun drinks and a catch up with friends! They were all sweet and delicious and about ~$17 each. The interior is also cute and has a decent amount of seating.

Amazing new bar! The staff is so nice and attentive. Went to try them out and ended up staying for 3 drinks. They have an extensive, fun menu and are fine making the classics too. Very cool vibe, just what Philly needed.

Delightful space. Charming gentlemen servers, very friendly with the local gay clientele. Delicious and very creative drinks.

So cute! Small but perfect with limited outdoor seating. The Pete's verde is one of my new favorite cocktails! The initial flavor was kind of a shock but soooo good. The hot dog was great too.

My family and I got breakfast at Enswell during our stay in Philadelphia. This swanky, hip place…read moreoffers up elevated tasty food and superb service in an exquisitely decorated, albeit small, cafe. We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

So cute inside!! We came here for happy hour and the weird gelato pairings they were doing this…read moremonth. I sampled the gelato, but stuck with cookies and cream which was delicious!! The crab fries and garlic bread are no skips. I hope to come back to try more food! We were lucky to get a table, the hostess was really nice and even found us outside to let us know we could make it! It does get really busy so I felt a bit rushed out but it was all good.
