Whenever I really like a restaurant and I'm in the area for a few days I try to go to it multiple times. Thankfully I was able to go to this one twice... because, I mean, gluten-free! I really love their selection of sweets... But I mean garlic sticks or whatever they're called... Onion rings! You can't get these items just anywhere, and if you can't do gluten places like this seem like heaven. So yeah if you're gluten intolerant, stop by here for a piece of heaven. I was excited this place had vegan desserts and good reviews. Sadly, I had a poor experience here with their customer service. I called to place a pick up order and the staff was extremely rude to me over the phone. I asked what vegan desserts they offered. The employee spoke as if this question was an inconvenience to her and wanted to rush me off the phone. I ended up ordering a cinnamon roll, which was dry and crumbly and more like a scone. I've eaten a keto diet for over a year and have purchased zero keto pastries or baked goods. I decided to give Gluten Free Miracles a shot after I randomly learned they've been making keto treats. So happy I went in! My picture won't be featured in a cooking magazine but I assure you, the muffins and cookie were fantastic. One cinnamon and one cranberry muffin, ~2g net carbs each. Know less about the cookie as they couldn't locate the card with macro profile, but it was damn good. My one complaint is that the fat/carb/protein/calories breakdown needs to be more accessible. The staff fumbles through cards and sometimes can't locate the right card. That said, it's such a small factor when compared to the miracle of great keto baked goods, I wouldn't dream of a rating less than 5 stars. read more

This is more than a bakery, you can get sandwiches, soups and pizza too! I'm not Celiac but eat Gluten free for other health reasons, which I have found hard to do given I love bread and baked goods. The baked goods here are much better than the stuff I've tried at home. If you cannot make it to them during their normal business hours, you can pick up some of their bread options at Whole Foods now. I like the Coconut Paleo Bread best. Absolutely delicious! I am fortunate in that I don't have to eat gluten free. I bought some items for a friend who does have to eat gluten free, and I tried a little. I was hooked. Absolutely the best blueberry scone I've ever had. My wife and I stopped in recently and she agrees. Great coffee too! We ordered a cake for my wife's dental school party and was extremely dissatisfied. My wife has had a cake from GFM before at a wedding and raves about it. This is what led her to wanting to order a cake from GFM for her party. The cake was extremely dry, without the frosting it would have been inedible. We ended up throwing away about 3/4 of the cake which was quite unfortunate. GFM does make good stuff and I'm sure this cake was an outlier. read more

What a place in Lexington. This is a great bakery/eatery in Lexington. Someone that needs gluten free options; this is the place. I have tried about every thing. The cinnamon rolls are next level. Especially when you could previously eat them before and an item that was missed until this establishment. The sugar cookies and muffins are great. The fried chicken is heavenly. My only complaint is I tried the Apple fritter donuts and they were so amazing that I am now addicted after one try. The complaint is they do not have these often. Hahaha read more

I am going to show off my ignorance about Gluten Free stuff in this review, so please take pity on me for this. In trying to find any other place that created donuts in Lexington, I found out that on the first Saturday of the month, Gluten Free Miracles makes donuts! So, on a whim, I decided to try them out this month and see how they were. When I got there, I saw the donuts and they were very small, so small that I bought two of each that they had so that my friend and I could each have one and we'd also bought and split a cinnamon roll. The flavors of the donuts they had were apple fritter and chocolate. While I didn't care for the apple fritter, the chocolate was great! I have a feeling that these donuts were baked as the outer shell of the donut was hard, but the inside of the donut was quite soft, chewy, and moist. The cinnamon roll was quite good also, but I know I would've preferred more cinnamon in it. These are definitely good pastries, but one thing you will notice is that this place will hit your pocketbook for gluten free pastries. The four small donuts and the cinnamon roll set me back just under $15. While I expect that from a fufu donut making place, for the small amount we received, it was quite a lot. That's where my ignorance shows in not knowing how much it costs to make said pastries and why I'm not lowering my 4/5 star rating due to it. Overall, they make it work, so if you do need some gluten free stuff, check this place out! read more

I visited here while in the area in February 2016 (guess it took me a bit to make this review, oops!). This is a cute little shop and the owner and son were very nice and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint. The boyfriend and I stopped here for lunch and both of us were impressed! I have to be gluten free (boyfriend does not) and I was so excited to experience my first ever, all gluten-free, allergy friendly cafe and bakery. Somehow, in Cincinnati we don't have places like this yet. We ordered the pizza and a cup of chili to eat there. We didn't get the chili, which may have been a miscommunication, and I don't know if we had been charged for it (I didn't ask for a receipt). The pizza, though, was quite good! We did a build your own with gluten free crust, cheese, sausage, pepperoni, and peppers. Even the not-gluten-free boyfriend loved it! There was some left over that we took with us and had the next day. It was good even cold! We also got some baked goods to go. The cinnamon roll was a little dry and I'm not sure if it's because I waited a day and a half to eat it or if it would have been that way had I eaten right away. Maybe it would have been better warmed a little. The muffin and cookie were great, though. They offer breads and treats to go along with a cafe menu that changes up. They have paleo, gluten free, and many allergy friendly choices available. They are more than willing to answer any questions and identify items that would work for you if you have any dietary restrictions. I always wonder, when I see a lot of positive reviews for a place that I had a poor experience with, if it was just a fluke. I also try to give caveats. The caveat for this review is that I did not try any of their baked goods. We just went there for lunch. That all being said, we did not have a miraculous experience. It took 20 minutes to get our food, despite us being the first and only people there when we ordered. When asked as to what the hold up was, they were unable to even give an answer. The food we was unimpressive for what we paid. Now, I know that gluten-free foods cost more, but I think this was inordinately expensive for what was delivered, as did my lunch companion who has celiac (and hence is more familiar then I am). My 10 dollar sandwich was cheese and pepperoni on two pieces of toasted GF bread. Her 12 dollar sandwich had cheese and cold cuts on it. No lettuce, pickles, tomato, etc. Underwhelming to say the least. As I said, I can not speak to their baked goods, but considering that there are other places to go where you can get a GF lunch that is both better quality for cheaper cost, I can not recommend this place. read more

Just tried this place for the first time and we loved it! We got 4 different bakery treats and all were great! My wife is allergic to soy and it's very hard for her to find allergy-friendly food in Lexington. This place is great and we definitely want to return to try the lunch menu. I ordered Gluten Free Miracles off the DoorDash app and I definitely will be returning to the restaurant when I am back in town! I got a side salad and hot turkey and cheese sandwich which was fantastic and so nice to not worry about cross contamination. But the GF banana chocolate chip muffin and snickerdoodle cookie take the prize. They both were moist, quiet scrumptious, and did not have the gluten free texture most GF baked goods do. Everything is delicious... some things are a little sugary but great gifts for Celiacs. Go early as I've seen slim pickens late in the afternoon. I tried the Paleo Blueberry muffin on my first trip and found it to be simply wonderful. I was soft and absolutely packed with blueberrries, man!!! They carry a gluten free sandwich bread which I would gladly switch to. I bought my Celiac Disease laden buddy a Chocolate Blueberry Muffin and Peanut Butter Cookie and I thought that he was going to come out of his skin with pleasure. Not that kind but the mouth pleasing kind, nevermind. He LOVED the texture and flavor. As I understand through him, texture and softness are two of the hardest features of wheat breads to recreate and Gluten Free Miracles is doing it. read more

We decided to visit GFM today to celebrate their one year anniversary. We have never been before, but are friends with some of the employees. Neither myself or my wife are gluten sensitive and before today, I've never had a piece of gluten free bread or pastry. I have heard very mixed reviews about gluten free bread that I came with very low expectations. Big mistake! GFM's food and pastries are amazing. I had a sandwich and salad lunch special. My sandwich was served on paleo almond bread with a Greek yogurt based herb spread, turkey and provolone. Best bread I've had in ages! Very dense, but super soft and flavorful. I wanted to take some home. The spinach salad was excellent as well. We ordered one of the lemonade cookies and a strawberry lemonade muffin for dessert along with the free-trade coffee. The food was delicious even though I stopped by just before closing time for a some of the lunch special of the day which happened to be chicken and dumplings. Hmmmh it was good. Travelers dream! My husband had the egg sandwich, which he said was delicious. My son had the Italian panni, he said it was good but would have liked more meat. My husband also had the scone for dessert (said he wished he ordered an extra to go). The restaurant was small, but spotless and lovely. The outdoor seating (two small bistro tables) allowed us to dine outside (bonus because we're traveling with a large golden retriever. Added bonus small grassy area behind plaza for a quick walk). I visited a friend in Lexington and stopped by to try some items from here. I'm attaching a picture of what we bought. I tried the following: Chocolate "chip" cookie - Zero flavor and literally ONE chocolate chip. Lemon something cookie - Bland and flavorless. Brownie - There were BLUEBERRIES in it. I asked about that and the girl said that it helps with moisture. Ummmmm....applesauce helps with moisture content, not blueberries. It was literally a big brownie with full size blueberries in it. Not good AT ALL. Cinnamon Roll - hard and lacked flavor Cheesecake Bar - literally tasted like the cheesecake you make from a jell-o cheesecake box. Scone - hard and flavorless Egg Free Cupcake - No...just...NO. Praline bar thing - the praline part was good but the other half of it was rock hard and inedible. Dinner Rolls - the only thing I got that was palatable. not horrible but kinda grainy. As you can see from the pictures, these items look far from appetizing. They tasted pretty much how they looked. I am planning another visit up there next month and I've heard there is another gf bakery that just opened so I'll try them next. Anything has to be an improvement. read more

First of all, the cinnamon rolls were among the best I've eaten anywhere at any price, gluten-free or not. But more importantly, contrary to what some people have said about them being unfriendly my and my wife's experience was just the opposite. We were shopping for some gluten free items to take for a friend with celiac disease at Thanksgiving and knew very little. Consequently we had several questions. The proprietor very patiently and in detail answered all our questions and in a very friendly manner. I suspect that anyone experiencing a lack of friendliness at this restaurant probably brought it on themselves. read more

Finding gluten free options on a menu in general can be a challenge so its nice to have a place to go to that is focused on being gluten free. The staff was friendly and answered any questions I had with ease. I have seen others mention the cost being high. It is a bit pricey BUT its gluten free and any where I have gone that offers gluten free, has an upcharge so in reality, the pricing isnt bad.
