The thinner side of my hair has more highlights than the thicker side, there's very little in the back, and the top is much blonder than the bottom. I went back to have the tone corrected, but after one wash it looked the same again. Im very grateful they were willing to fit me in again. Everyone was very kind, and the haircut itself is great--I'm just disappointed with the highlighting and honestly embarrassed for people to see it

After seeing good highlighting results on my daughter, I booked a haircut with Nat this past…read moreWednesday and highlights 3 days later on Saturday. Nat had already spent 30 minutes plus on my hair this past week so when I walked in to Mango Salon at Greengate today, and I told Nat that I was looking for soft highlights as previous stylists has painted my highlights on my hair. I requested a full head of highlights as well. Much to my surprise, Nat informed me that she could not do my hair because she is a junior stylist and not very experienced. She did not think I would be happy with the result. I was shocked. On a Saturday afternoon before an important event, I was left with no stylist. They could not recommend a more experienced stylist who was available today. I explained that I have had average highlights in the past as well as above average highlights and I was shocked. I am even more shocked that a senior staff member did not try to make things better or try to book something at a later date. Nothing. Crickets. Now I understand why the majority of stylists get experience at Mango and then go out on their own. This was a terrible experience. Not only have they lost a local client, but they have lost another family member as well. I am speechless. I do not recommend Mango at Green Gate.

I am very particular about my nails, especially because I wear builder gel over my natural nails. This was my second time coming in and Lucy is absolutely amazing! She is incredibly meticulous and takes her time to make sure everything is just right. She does the most natural looking builder all I've ever had done and I have tried a lot of places! You can tell Lucy truly cares about her work and I really appreciate the attention to detail. My daughter and I both left happy and the entire team made us feel so welcome. I highly recommend the salon, especially Lucy if you're looking for someone who is detailed talented and really takes pride in her work. I will definitely be back.

I decided to get a pedicure, which they're doing a promo for $19.99, so don't miss out on that (normal price is $40). Or you can pick 10% of for your entire service if you're doing other services. They do serve beverages; soda, juice, and alcohol. It was nice that there was a selection. They have a head spa which my friend and I tried out. We chose the Classic option that was really relaxing. A scalp massage and blow dry. The manager kept checking up on my friend and I if we were doing okay, which was very nice of her. While we were there, they gave us a free keychain and gift for the grand opening. Not sure if you can expect the same post-grand opening. This is definitely going to be our new spot to get our nails done. Worth checking out for sure!

A woman at the door said "yes, come on" and walked me to the back implying that it was her. I informed her that I want a silk wrap and highlights. She informed me that she would have to blow my hair out because it's curly (first time this has happened, but I'm not a stylist so I agreed). She then proceeded to do my highlights by parting at the line where my old highlights were, not at the scalp. This resulted in uneven, choppy and messy highlights. When it came to my trim, she left dead ends and it's uneven as well. I am currently going back to get it fixed. Will update with any new information. Update: I went back to the salon and the owner fixed my color as much as she could. I didn't get charged an additional fee. My second experience I would rate a 4.
