I do need to have a disclaimer: I've been wearing hearing aids for years, so I came in to HearUSA as a seasoned veteran of the product. My reason for coming was simply that my insurance will pay for new devices every three years, and I was due. My previous provider was no longer covered by insurance, and this was the closest provided to my home that was. Upon arriving for my initial appointment, Erick administered a comprehensive hearing test, the most comprehensive I've had. My hearing loss is minor to modest, so I don't need crazy devices. Yet my insurance benefits are quite good, so we first chose devices from Starkey. Long story short, they didn't work out, so Erick pivoted to my previous brand, Phonak. The devices were fitted and configured, and have been working great. At my two week checkup, we discussed how the experience was going, and I was good to go. This is a small practice with just Erick and his office manager, but they're very efficient and professional with regards to making appointments and reminders, as well as all of the processes of diagnosis and dispensing of devices (if needed). I highly recommend this business if you're in the market!

My father broke one of his hearing aids. Maybe it just broke, it's hard to tell. The folks where…read morehe bought it said it would take at least two weeks to fix it, so we gambled and took his hearing aids to Total Hearing Care - it was the place closest to his assisted living center. The people could not have been nicer. They replaced the fiber that connects the hearing aid to the ear piece, and the ear piece as well. They cleaned the other hearing aid, and also cleaned the contacts on the charging case. The cost was a very modest $15.00. They noticed that one of the hearing aids didn't seem to be charging correctly. They told us what to watch out for, and that the hearing aid was still under warranty so if there is a problem with the charging circuitry, it would be fixed at no cost. Delightful people and great service!

A sailing friend suggested starting with the lowest cost units that work. He has had three aids. His reason, the technology advances are significant. My first appointment with Dr. John was the most thorough and well explained I've ever had. Subsequent visits were the annual manufacture's quality check. When they were returned, she made effective adjustments. Next week I'll start my 81st trip around the Sun (I'm 79). My suggestion to anyone seeking help with their hearing issues. Dr. Kubala has excellent bedside manner, he was reassuring and patient and took the time to answer my (many) questions/concerns. The recovery was definitely rough as expected but I felt supported and prepared with the thorough recovery and discharge instructions, medications, and just knowing the clinic was available for any emergencies. The entire care team/staff at THCDS and this clinic provided compassionate and excellent care. I recovered well, did not experience any bleeds or hemorrhaging and I no longer have to suffer from my tonsils! On top of a great experience with my tonsillectomy, Dr. Kubala caught an anemia dx that my pcp and another specialist unfortunately missed. I potentially could be still dealing with that going untreated today but thankfully with Dr. K raising this concern, my anemia has been treated by another specialist and it has been resolved. This practice/principle of collaborative care is deeply appreciated as I've avoided further health complications that could have been upsetting down the line. I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Kubala's commitment to patient care and so glad I selected him for my procedure. I highly recommend him as an ENT!

I was contacted by there office and made an appointment. My insurance provided me with the referable stating the name, address and phone number. The gentleman making the appointment wanted to make clear of their location at a second floor complex in a retail center. When I arrived the reception person was on a call and it seemed to me to be a personal one because she told her call that she had to go someone came in. I gave my name and what time my appointment was. She told me they don't make appointments before 12 noon. My appointment was at 10 am. She asked my name at least three times and each time I spelled it. She said she had no record of my appointment. I told her I had an email with the confirmation. She shrugged and said I should probably call someone. I did. This person as well was clueless about my appointment. I left and called my insurance company to complain. I was on the phone with them nearly an hour, and they confirmed the location ... but the name of the business was different. I would never in a million years go back to that place simply because of the reception person really not caring at all to help.

The company also doesn't ever charge you for any visits after buying h.aids from them. There's no after purchase plans or anything like that like other h.aid companies do. To me that only discourages customers not to come in to get any needed adjustments or testing. I've been wearing h.aids for 15+ years since I was in my 30's. I'm on my 3rd set. I have bought from Connect Hearing since I started wearing h.aids. I've looked around at other hearing aid companies but it isn't easy to get info in the first place then the plan packages are always confusing or a hassle. Connect Hearing is straight forward. I've lived in 4 different states since I started wearing h.aids and I've always found Connect Hearing location(s) close by where we live. At this location Kathryn is my H.I.S.. The first time I came in was when I was driving by and saw the sign and did a u-turn to go back to make an appt for an adjustment since covid started and again moving to TX. Kathryn was so nice and was able to squeeze me right then for a quick adjust between appts. I was SO grateful! It was then that she reminded me about my 3 year warranty was about to expire. I've since gone in to send my h.aids back to be serviced and am trying out the new model in the brand that I wear. I'm impressed by Kathryn's knowledge of my h.aids and the new model! If you're needing hearing aids don't let what you've heard about problems with of the old hearing aids stop you. The technology nowadays is Amazing and can be adjusted to your lifestyle! I wear the over the ear kind of hearing aid and people never seem to notice I wear them. I always wear my hair up in a ponytail so don't let being able to see them stop you either but if they can so what, you can hear and that's a wonderful thing!
