My hearing was so bad, that all of my friends know to text me, NOT call, because the idea of constantly having to repeat yourself during a phone conversation is annoying to say the least. Fast forward many moons later and my hearing has now caused problems in both my personal and professional life. Long story short, I finally went in to see Dr. Peskind. i waited over a year to do this, but i'm still angry. utsw docs saved my life, and i trust most…read moredepartments explicitly in both dallas and frisco, especially endocrinology and the liver clinic on the main dallas campus and frisco primary care​. maybe dr. peskind has just aged out of incompetence, and that's not ageism as i am in my 70s. i've only needed an ent for sinus before, but i developed tinnitus 2 years before but had it suddenly get much worse. i can hear better than most 20 year olds, just ask anyone trying to say something they don't want me to hear! i had a loud screaming in my head, but this doc decided i simply needed a hearing test and diagnosed me with severe hearing loss! if someone is screaming next to a ping, like a windchime, no one will hear the chime! he ignored my reason for being there, and when i walked in, and i commented on my husband's hearing issues, he said it's usually wives with the problem! my pcp, who i see a lot, scowled at his diagnosis. this guy does not listen to women!!

Since most of the issues are conditions I just have to live with, I have in recent years treated myself with OTC remedies and such. But the issues finally piled up to the point that I needed to see an ENT. My previous ENT, who was wonderful, had become so busy, I would't be able to get in to see him for almost three months. So I have begun looking for someone with a more open schedule. I read about Dr. Wyatt and saw good things written about him, so I checked with my PCP and he referred me to him, got me in in about two weeks and today was my big day. I filled out the paperwork in about 25 minutes, which was the most detailed I remember ever seeing, and went to the office , arriving about 15 minutes early. Upon checking in, I was given two additional forms by the receptionist, which had to do with several unscheduled procedures that might have to be performed during any given visit if the doctor considered them medically necessary. I was instructed to authorize the doctor to perform these procedures before I had even met him. When I asked the receptionist if that was their usual protocol, she said, I'm sorry, but you were here just fifteen minutes before your appointment. We don't have time for questions like this right now. We will have to reschedule or cancel your appointment if you want discussions about things like that. I was taken aback, but I really wanted to be seen, so I took a little bit different line of questioning and said, "Well, could you at least give me a ballpark figure about what these procedures might cost me (after Medicare and BC/BS)? I don't feel comfortable authorizing charges for unknown procedures when the staff cannot even estimate what the charges might be. It seemed like I was walking in to a used car dealership and asked to sign a sales contract for an unknown car at an unknown sales price with undetermined terms. I could go on, but I won't. And neither will I return to his office.

She truly cares about you and suggests what is best for your health & quality of life.
