Self-pay patients should know before booking: North Dallas ENT charges an additional $50 fee if you…read moredon't have insurance. When I called the office on 9/14/26, staff confirmed the fee exists to prevent missed appointments, but also confirmed it is not refunded or credited toward your visit even when you attend. A no-show deterrent you pay either way isn't a deterrent; it's a higher price for the same appointment, charged only to patients without insurance, often the people least able to absorb extra costs. This practice is operated by Texas ENT Specialists / Elevate ENT Partners, so self-pay patients at their other locations may want to ask whether the same fee applies. This is a billing-policy issue, not a comment on the physicians' clinical care.

Since most of the issues are conditions I just have to live with, I have in recent years treated myself with OTC remedies and such. But the issues finally piled up to the point that I needed to see an ENT. My previous ENT, who was wonderful, had become so busy, I would't be able to get in to see him for almost three months. So I have begun looking for someone with a more open schedule. I read about Dr. Wyatt and saw good things written about him, so I checked with my PCP and he referred me to him, got me in in about two weeks and today was my big day. I filled out the paperwork in about 25 minutes, which was the most detailed I remember ever seeing, and went to the office , arriving about 15 minutes early. Upon checking in, I was given two additional forms by the receptionist, which had to do with several unscheduled procedures that might have to be performed during any given visit if the doctor considered them medically necessary. I was instructed to authorize the doctor to perform these procedures before I had even met him. When I asked the receptionist if that was their usual protocol, she said, I'm sorry, but you were here just fifteen minutes before your appointment. We don't have time for questions like this right now. We will have to reschedule or cancel your appointment if you want discussions about things like that. I was taken aback, but I really wanted to be seen, so I took a little bit different line of questioning and said, "Well, could you at least give me a ballpark figure about what these procedures might cost me (after Medicare and BC/BS)? I don't feel comfortable authorizing charges for unknown procedures when the staff cannot even estimate what the charges might be. It seemed like I was walking in to a used car dealership and asked to sign a sales contract for an unknown car at an unknown sales price with undetermined terms. I could go on, but I won't. And neither will I return to his office.

Dr. Kubala has excellent bedside manner, he was reassuring and patient and took the time to answer my (many) questions/concerns. The recovery was definitely rough as expected but I felt supported and prepared with the thorough recovery and discharge instructions, medications, and just knowing the clinic was available for any emergencies. The entire care team/staff at THCDS and this clinic provided compassionate and excellent care. I recovered well, did not experience any bleeds or hemorrhaging and I no longer have to suffer from my tonsils! On top of a great experience with my tonsillectomy, Dr. Kubala caught an anemia dx that my pcp and another specialist unfortunately missed. I potentially could be still dealing with that going untreated today but thankfully with Dr. K raising this concern, my anemia has been treated by another specialist and it has been resolved. This practice/principle of collaborative care is deeply appreciated as I've avoided further health complications that could have been upsetting down the line. I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Kubala's commitment to patient care and so glad I selected him for my procedure. I highly recommend him as an ENT!
