Dr. Peskind has truly made my life & the lives of those that I interact with on a daily basis easier. I've had hearing problems since the 6th grade, but I've always refused to wear a hearing aid because I was too embarrased to go out in public wearing it at such a young age. My hearing was so bad, that all of my friends know to text me, NOT call, because the idea of constantly having to repeat yourself during a phone conversation is annoying to say the least. Fast forward many moons later and my hearing has now caused problems in both my personal and professional life. Long story short, I finally went in to see Dr. Peskind. Dr. Peskind is treating me for sudden sensorineural hearing loss and I have found him to be kind, thoughtful, and funny. It's a complex situation and an involved treatment process, and he's been great at putting me at ease and explaining next steps and what to expect. The staff there is just as great. I was treated very disrespectful... I have had undiagnosed sinus issues for several years... no ENT's could figure it out... So I was recommended to check out Dr Peskind...he dismissed me from the start, barely looked me in the eye when talking to me... told me there was nothing he could do for me, then he lead me out of the office telling me there was no need for a follow up appointment. I was shocked... felt numb, sad, depressed... I walked to my car in such despair for I have never in my life been treated with such disrespect. One year later as I was visiting a oral surgeon about possibly removing a molar, I told him about my sinus issues... he diagnosed me as having an internal nasal valve collapse on my left side... i waited over a year to do this, but i'm still angry. utsw docs saved my life, and i trust most departments explicitly in both dallas and frisco, especially endocrinology and the liver clinic on the main dallas campus and frisco primary care​. maybe dr. peskind has just aged out of incompetence, and that's not ageism as i am in my 70s. i've only needed an ent for sinus before, but i developed tinnitus 2 years before but had it suddenly get much worse. i can hear better than most 20 year olds, just ask anyone trying to say something they don't want me to hear! i had a loud screaming in my head, but this doc decided i simply needed a hearing test and diagnosed me with severe hearing loss! if someone is screaming next to a ping, like a windchime, no one will hear the chime! he ignored my reason for being there, and when i walked in, and i commented on my husband's hearing issues, he said it's usually wives with the problem! my pcp, who i see a lot, scowled at his diagnosis. this guy does not listen to women!! read more

This doctor is beyond amazing!!! He's funny and kind and very personable. An older gentleman fell in the parking lot and hit his head. The staff were prompt to call 911 and he the doctor ran outside and held this mans head and stayed with him the entire time until paramedics took the patient away in the ambulance. He went above and beyond the call of duty. No one probably noticed or cared. But I did! And I tell everyone to come here now ! read more

There's no contact number to his office. There's no way to call and speak to anyone about their services, procedures, etc. Everything is done through a third party number. The person who schedules the appointment schedules appointments for all the doctors at UT Southwestern. When I did get an appointment, I was "texted" an estimated bill. How do they even know that? How can they estimate when I can't even speak to a person at his office? The text also wanted me to go to MyChart to view "this bill". When I did, it then asked me for "a code" first (which I never received) before I could get access. I don't feel comfortable with NOT being able to speak with anyone at a doctors office at all. I don't feel comfortable with you sending me an estimated bill when you can't even talk to me. I don't feel comfortable with the amount of work you require just to get an appointment. I am sure he is a good doctor but I do not have time for all of this. I will go somewhere else and deal with a doctors office who is willing to communicate with me and not make things so complicated. read more

I was very anxious going in thinking I'd have to get a tonsillectomy, but Dr. Peskind assured me we do not need to rush straight into surgery-- very relieving! The office is also spotless! read more

I rarely write reviews for doctors but Dr. Peskind is THE MAN!!! My 2 year old had a ton of ear wax and we were worried it was impacting her hearing; we took her into the pediatrician and she was really fussy and wouldn't hold still for the doctor to examine her. We took her to see Dr. Peskind to see if he would have better luck and OMG - he cleaned her ears in just a few minutes! I don't know why my daughter held still for him but she just did! If anything, this place doesn't seem too inviting nor friendly starting from the staff. They must have been hired on the street. Unprofessional and no etiquette on the phone. Then the Dr' s turn, examine my tonsil, it is swollen but nothing too major he said, told me to come back if it bothers me. Well, it bothered me in the first place, that's why I can to see him. Took my copay and sent me off within less than 15 minutes. read more

Dr. Steven Peskind comes across as someone who really enjoys what he is doing! His office is nice and organized, Everything from scheduling an appointment to actually meeting a doctor was easy and smooth. We arrived for our appointment 5 mins prior and we've been seen literally @ our appointment time on the dot. As a working mom with very tight schedule, I value people and professionals who respect your time. It's been multiple times when I walked out of doctors' offices after waiting longer than 30 mints to be seen. So trust me I'm very serious about time management and punctuality. So first we've done hearing test, which was hard to do with my crazy active 2 y.o. Then we've been seen by Dr. Peskind, who was extremely good with my 2 y.o. thunder toddler. We've been followed up by his assistant after we left the office to schedule appointment for ear tubes insertion. Needless to say I've received email with detailed information about all the pros and cons of the procedure and what needs to be paid attention to. Dr. Peskind was very detailed when explained about the procedure and was looking for the best case scenario for my son. Having seen Dr. Peskind today I can understand why he merits the 5-star reviews I see here. He is the quintessential nice guy. However, I went to him for a long-term problem with tinnitus. When I called for an appointment I told the receptionist about my condition and said I understood he worked with other sufferers. She assured me that he did, and technically, that's true, he does see other tinnitus sufferers, but whether he helps them or not is problematic. After going through the whole drill, hearing test, pressure check in my ear drums, etc. he told me there was nothing he could do other than refer me to the folks who do brain studies at UTD and to keep wearing my hearing aids. read more
