This is a sad day for those who protect this country, which includes Frisco, Texas. I am a military veteran that has the military "Tri-Care" insurance. I was referred to and advised that Collin County ENT would take Tri-Care. Truth is that they do take Tri-Care and it is in network, but only as a secondary insurance, not a primary insurance (According to the receptionist that I spoke to it is office dependent, so they can make their own rules). So, what do veterans do when they do not have additional insurance? I think this is a very poor stance when your duties are to help. You only help when it benefits you as the Doctor. What a work-around to allow this organization to charge more for service. I know that doctors who support military veterans take more of a loss. It's a given but when you say you do but there's a catch, you are just spitting in the face of those who served to allow you to skate around the issue of possibly taking less money for the same payment. This is just so frustrating to know that I pay a lot for my military "Tri-Care Prime" insurance. More than most who may be transiting through this office (if they pay anything at all) but only to be told your second rate. Pathetic! I'm sure you have the ability to find my name. They came as a referral from my primary but the appointment wait was 5 weeks out. It wasn't an immediate emergency so that wasn't too troubling so I booked. I spent close to 30 minutes pre-filling out docs to be prepared the day of the appointment. I showed up early an after check in waited in the lobby for 45 minutes. I even checked because 6 people that came in after me we sent back. A couple completed their visit and left before I was sent back. After I was sent back I was informed that it would be another 20-30 minutes before I saw the doctor. At this point I elected to get up and leave. I was asked if I wanted to call back to reschedule to which I declined. They obviously have too many patients if the wait times are this lengthy. I'm sure from the other review that they are fine doctors especially considering the patient load but to have this experience is rude and dis-courteous. I wouldn't dream of showing up to any appointment late like this. read more

While I absolutely love Dr. Tseng as he provided great care for my son and is a very warm and caring individual, I am beyond frustrated with their billing department. I have called 9 times -- that's right 9 to pay a very small bill (in comparison to our overall bill) and still have not be able to pay it. UHG!!! read more

CCENT, Dr. Matheny, and the staff are excellent. I had Dr. Matheny correct my deviated septum, administer cryo therapy to my terminates, and generally clean out my sinuses. Very disappointed, I had a balloon septoplasty performed by Dr. Matheny, he said that the procedure was going to fix my deviated septum and I was going to feel the difference, after two months, I still cannot breath well and the septum is not straight as expected, I went back for follow up and he said I needed another procedure to shrink the turbinates, on top of that I was being charged for the follow up visits, at this point I decided to look for a second opinion with another ENT doctor where they told me from the beginning that balloon septoplasty wasn't an option for me. The quality of service I got from the Physician (Keith Matheny), PA (Chad), billing department and people in the office was terrible, extremely disappointing. read more

We were warmly welcomed and not treated poorly for our personal health choices. We met with Dr. Littlejohn who has a fantastic demeanor, loves his profession and is great with kids. He speaks to them personally eye to eye vs many docs who just talk "about" them with the parent. I always ask why people get into the job they have and he said in this conversation, "I love it and I would do this even if I didn't get paid!" THAT is rare and exactly the kind of doc we were looking for. read more

I am writing this review to show my disgust I have with Collin Count ENT and Dr Carter. For several months I have had an issue with pain on my left ear Tragus, into the ear, around the jaw and down the throat. I have seen several specialists in this order - dentist, MD, allergist, ENT, TMJ doctor, neurologist, neurosurgeon, Collin County ENT (CCENT), TMJ doctor, chiropractor and then dentist again. I called CCENT to see if Kenny Carter treats TMJ and to get a second opinion. I was told yes, he treats TMJ. I was happy that he did for I have seen Dr Carter for several years and liked him. I made an appointment and went to their office on my appointment day. When Dr Carter came into the room, I described my problem and he stated he does not work on TMJ issues, but he can diagnose it. I ask why his staff would tell someone that he would treat an issue when in fact he does not. His diagnosis was TMJ just by me describing my symptoms. He told me he will speak with the staffer that told me incorrect information on him treating TMJ. So, I left the office thinking that this was a consultation (they did not ask for payment) when in fact it was a $300 office visit that my insurance paid $220, and he wants the other $80 from me which I do not believe I should pay. I called their billing department to check on writing off my portion but when they asked Dr Carter was about this, his response was that I need to pay since I met with him. This would visit would not have happened if the staffer would not have lied about Dr Carter treating TMJ. Bottom line, my issue is not TMJ but a wisdom tooth issue. Found this specialist office to be very accommodating. I was able to secure an appointment only a few days out and Dr. Littlejohn was awesome. A kind and personable man that was very thorough. The audiologist was kind and receptive as well. I would certainly recommend to a friend. Only area of improvement was the lady answering the phone to help me set and appointment - perhaps just having a bad day, but she seemed very disinterested. Overall this place is great read more

Dr. Tseng and Jessica his PA were amazing! I've had vertigo for a little over a week the whole situation was very worrisome. Both made me feel so at ease and were able to figure out what was wrong with me with a few questions. Sherry my audiologist was very helpful as well. Collin County ENT is great. This is the first time I have needed an ENT doctor. Upon entering I was unsure as what to expect. From my first visit through my surgery and through all my follow-up appointments the staff has been friendly, efficient and speedy! A rare thing at any doctors office. They deserve 10 stars!!! I saw Dr Littlejohn and could not have been more pleased with his bedside manner and approach... he treated me like a person and was very easy to talk to as well as being a great listener. I don't care for doctors who act as if they're smarter than you and Dr L was wonderful and made me feel completely at ease with his explanation of my diagnosis and treatment. The reception staff are great, too! Additionally, I visited the allergy office and again, they deserve 10 stars! The specific test I had was ridiculously easy and not painful at all. For some odd reason (probably b/c I failed to eat the day I visited) I started feeling faint while sitting in a chair in the office and man, the nurses acted incredibly swiftly to care for me. I had 4 of them tending to me and one even offered me her own personal stash of juice which was absolutely so sweet. I cannot even describe how wonderful everyone was... very caring people. They are truly a compassionate bunch of ladies and just as nice as can be. They're highly competent and set the standard for quality care for sure! I have been seeing Dr. Keith Matheny for several months and finally decided to do the Sinuplasty (balloon procedure) and turbinate reduction 3 weeks ago. I wish I had found Dr. Matheny YEARS ago and had this done then. What a difference this has made in my breathing, sleeping, no more snoring, no coughing, etc. It has been life changing at this point. Dr. Matheny is one of the nicest, most thorough doctors I have ever seen. He will take as much time as needed and explains everything in terms you can understand. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with at a medical office. Sat for over an hour to finally get into a 10:30 appt at 11:40. Then the 5 minute appt wasn't even with the Dr. the appt was for. Waste of a half day of work...for that. Almost impossoble to make appointments and payments. It says "established in 1975" and I believe it. They aren't even set up for online payments. Impossible to get them on the phone. They always make you leave a message, so if youre not available when tney call back you are SOL! Been trying for an entire week to get an appt and still hasn't happened. If you're going to have 8-4 hours, you could at least have a better appointment system. I liked Dr Matheney, but otherwise a total disappointment. read more

Dr Keith Metheney treated me for multiple sinus issues. He was very through and clear during the assessment process to determine what steps need to be taken. He was careful to explain the issues and option available to me. His staff help to make the process simple and easy by ensuring insurance coverage and obtaining proper approvals. The actual surgery was just as easy as the rest of the process. While the recovery period was a little miserable the final results have been nothing short of life changing. I am able to clearly breath through my nose now!! Small things are so much easier like brushing my teeth and using mouth wash. What a nightmare and the biggest joke. I just wasted my time & $40 specialist copay to be seen by a PA not an ENT specialist. This type of useless referral is why there is so much medical fraud and outrageous medical costs. I was rudely spoken to by a female person 1/2 my age trying to school me about my own health insurance HSA/HRA through our employer which was a joke of a conversation. I paid for an expensive hearing test I could of gotten free at Sam's Club. It did absolutely no good for me to fill out all this same useless paperwork that was not read. I proceeded to have a one sided conversation because I was asked the same questions I had already previously answered when given my history. I then was told after a quick look in my nose it didn't look like I had any nose surgery that I previously went under the knife and paid for 3 years earlier. So that tells me no previous medical records were ordered or reviewed before my appointment. They miss spelled my name and ignored a medical order from my doctor that was sent over a week prior ordering for a simple lip biopsy to rule out a medical diagnosis. Basically, I left with no resolution on my ear pain and a deviated septum that I can not breath out of. So now I have to find another Texas ENT to repeat this same process over again hopefully getting my ear and nose fixed. As well as questioning if I need to hire an attorney for medical malpractice suit on the past ENT. read more

Dr. Matheny is awesome and thorough and helps you every step of the way. Dr. Carter is also great and assisted in my surgery and seemed very knowledgeable. These doctors know what they are doing and you are in good hands as a patient. I came as a recommended patient after my mother had a more complicated sinus surgery that ended up curing her debilitating headaches that she's had her whole life. She rarely has a headache now that she is done with the surgery. Mine was a more simple case and could be done in office. Not all people are that lucky, but if it offered to you, take that offer! Dr. Mayheny guides you through it and you feel very confident that he knows what he is doing. The surgery has changed my life for the better, and I can't tell enough people to go and get it done. Definitely a bad rate is because they are actually discrimination me and my husband that's because we are deaf and can't go in an appointment without an interpreter. Is this a joke? All I want is to get them to sign the paper and so I could get my Medicare. They have really bad attitude. They also told people (clinics) bad about me. Is that a professional? No. They finally let us in at 1pm which I had my own appointment. Ofc I do have life! They think we don't! I canceled my own appointment to get this over. Finally, checked up. They charge me and my husband in total $450. Sound like rip off money. Never go there again. read more

Having moved here from out of state, I wasn't sure where to go. After a little google research, I made the determination to check out Collin County ENT and Dr Carter. During my first, I had the please of meeting PA Chad, he's one heck of a knowledgable and nice guy! Then came Dr Carter. I provided a brief breakdown of my issues and past surgeries, and Dr Carter immediately came up with a treatment plan that seemed as if he was my old Dr. I'm so fortunate to have found Dr Carter, he's a true professional, passionate about his field, and shows sincere concern for one's well-being. I walked in to the office at 8:28 for my 8:30 appointment. I was greeted very nicely by the receptionist, but they took a very long time handling my information and getting everything set up. I was called back at 8:55 and the nurse tried to claim that I was there for sinus issues because that's what the front desk told her, and she was sarcastic when I was confused. I never told the front desk what I was here for, but it was for my adenoids. I didn't see Dr. Littlejohn until 9:15 but he was very kind and took care of me. I wish they got to me quicker but I'm just one who likes to be taken care of as soon as I get there. read more

I think the staff and Dr Matheny are wonderful. They were very kind and the procedure went very well. It was a new procedure that is much better than what was done in the past. But I did not get the results I'd hoped for. I have chronic sinusitis and wanted to find a solution to often not being able to breath at night on my right side. It is only slightly better, and I will have to seek help again, but now I live in another state. There was another issue that I am disappointed in. When I arrived for my first appointment, I signed some papers stating I would be getting a Visa gift card for the procedure I was to receive. I did not ask or know about it, but was told I would get it. I had septoplasty & balloon sinuplasty. After the procedure, I made several calls and left messages which were responded to. I was told I would be getting a call from the responsible person. I'm guessing about 8 calls and a couple of months later, and no call back from the responsible party. My procedure was done in Sep 2019. It took this long for me, after some restless nights, to decide to write this review. read more

First time I went here I thought they were great. Skip forward 3 years...this time, the staff was rude, and the PA spent less than 5 minutes with me. He did not go over my condition with me or give me any information. He just told me he would write me a perscription. They forgot to call in my prescription, and I had to call multiple times just to get then to call it in. I saw Dr.Tseng 4 years ago. He performed two sinus surgeries andI needed to make an appointment. Called the office twice and was put on hold then decided to leave my tele number for them to call me back. Never heard back so I called and got thru.The next available appointment was in 3 weeks.Because I have had ear pain for 3 weeks I decided to see Lindsey the physician assistant. She looked in my ear and the audiologist performed a pressure test. She then told me that I should see my dentist as I may have TMJ.I asked for a referral for a dentist.She said she would call me with a name .Never heard from her. I found Collin County ENT and made an appointment with Dr. Carter. He quickly diagnosed my issues and we scheduled the procedures. I have been thrilled with my choice. I arrived 15 mins early to my first appointment and after 40 mins and watching other people get called back, I asked if they had forgotten about me. The receptionist said no and that she would check with the nurse. A few mins later I was told it was going to be another hour wait. What a 1.5 hour wait. I understand there are emergencies that come up, but that's ridiculous. That's a scheduling problem. Needless to say I left. read more

After years of putting up with seasonal allergies and sinus pressure, I was referred to Dr. Matheny and his team. I could not be happier with the life changing results of my allergy testing and Balloon Sinuplasty. Not only were my "seasonal allergies" more than I was treating myself for and in need of allergy shots and true diagnosis, but after an exam and CT they found my sinuses were almost completely closed. I spent 31 years thinking it was normal to be short of breath, constantly need to breathe with my mouth open, and wake up tired from restless nights. The procedure itself was done in office, explained very well, and I was sent home with a short one day recovery. I felt relief within hours and have been breathing, sleeping, and living better ever since!
