Dr. Miller has a very easy going and gentle personality..., which is intangibly important to me and my wife! My initial reason for seeing him was due to my left shoulder causing me pain. Ironically, I had a skiing accident that resulted in a tear of my MCL just prior to seeing Dr. Miller initially. After an MRI, he treated the MCL tear and shoulder pain with PT initially and didn't rush me into making a surgical decision. In addition, he gave me a cortisone shot for the shoulder which released the pain. The MCL healed nicely without any further procedure being required; however after 6 months the shoulder did get worse due to a separate but freak accident, so we decided that surgery was the only option that would relieve the pain permanently. This was the best decision, because the arthroscopic procedure revealed a massive tear of the supraspinatus which required 6 anchors instead of the normal 4 to reattach it properly. The entire experience has been outstanding and thankfully, the pain has been minimal. You can probably tell I really think the world of Dr. Miller and would recommend him to anyone who needs orthopedic care mostly because of his extensive experience and thorough approach.

I checked in and as I was starting to fill out paperwork, I was called back. I was barely able to finish my paperwork when a tech collected me for x-rays. I waited less than 5 min to see Dr McNutt which I'm sure that was only due to him waiting to review my x-rays. He politely introduced himself and quickly examined my arms' mobility. Immediately he determined the source of my injury, gave me a shot of some sort to relax the inflamation. He prescribed physical therapy and sent me on my way. It was an amazingly fast visit and a huge relief that he diagnosed my issue as I was suffering for months just hoping it was basic soreness that would go away.

After submitting my referral from my surgeon as well as all of my insurance documents, including an email containing a screenshot that my deductible had already been 100% met as requested by Vista. I was told by reception/billing that my copay for each visit would be $21. Great! I booked twice weekly appointments and began my healing! Each visit I paid my $21 prior to each appointment. Imagine my surprise when suddenly I received a bill for almost $600 in the snail mail. I have worked tirelessly with Vista's billing department (out of state BTW) in conjunction with my insurance (upwards of a total of 8-10 separate phone calls) to no avail. Naturally, I have halted my PT and am simply left to continue the exercises I already was assigned and utilizing online resources to try to remedy my issues post 2 surgeries. Vista claims this is not their issue and the bill must be paid instead of working to correct the issue. I am now left to pay over $600 for a total of 11 visits with Vista PT. Just not right and unethical IMHO. Just be aware this may happen regardless of what the office may tell you upfront regarding billing prior to your first appointment. Very disappointed.

I had my x-rays sent over from my previous chiropractic care so I didn't have to do x-rays again. Dr Stutz went over his assessment with me, he helped me understand how I was able to throw my back out over such a simple daily life task and explained that with the correct care hopefully we could prevent that from happening again. As it turns out one of the exercises I had been given from my previous care was not a good fit for my specific issue. I have since been given a couple of new exercises and I have been in to see Dr Stutz for multiple visits. My husband and I have very different back issues and we both require different care, Dr Stutz has helped/ is helping both of us feel better. My husband was initially drawn to Family & Sports Chiropractic due to the sports related specific care that could be given, he also plays soccer and loved that Dr Stutz provides care to the FC Dallas players as well. I, on the other hand, do not play sports of any kind and was honestly a little hesitant. Dr Stutz has always made me feel comfortable, it has not mattered one bit that I am completely unathletic. He has made me feel at ease for all of my care while still working to improve my condition. First couple appointments in April went fine, Dr Burgemeier prescribed an MRI scan for my left foot and referred me to ATI for physical therapy for my shooter's elbow, while getting me on an elbow brace for support. After reviewing the MRI scan he proposed tendon repair surgery for my foot (soccer injury) and I instantly said yes. But strangely he immediately said he is busy and if I want to do it soon, he can refer me to Dr Leroy Butler. I told him I am willing to wait but regardless he "referred" me to Dr Butler. I was told grace will handover my files to Dr butlers office & I will get a call from Dr Butlers assistant soon. A month passed by and no one called. So I called Texas sports medicine after a month asking for Dr Butler only to be told to there was no one by that name at this office. After giving my history of the previous visits I was told someone will call Me back. So Dr Burgemeier decided to pawn me off to another doctor in another practice and decided there was no need to even inform me of these details. No one called back from Texas Sports Medicine but I got a call From doctor butlers office (orthopedic institute of north Texas) to schedule a consultation appointment with him. At this point I had to ask if they got all my details from Grace at Texas sports medicine and she said all They got from Her was my name and phone number!!!!! While I was given the impression that all my details including MRI results would be handed over so that my surgery could be scheduled asap. Then an extremely rude lady claiming to be the office manager got on the phone to lecture me the procedure (or lack of one) of patient handovers from one practice to another giving me the bureaucratic red tape line. The sheer unprofessional behavior led me to cancel the appointment and call Texas Sports Medicine to get my medical records file so I can do the needful on my own while hunting for another surgeon - even For that I was given the run around and it took a few days before they were ready so I could go there to pick up My file. Once there I met Grace again and gave them a 2nd chance, told her I am Still willing to go with dr Burgemeier for my surgery - waited a week and still no call back. Anyways, looks like it all happened for the best. A week later I met another surgeon who is a college mate of dr Burgemeier but a real Professional and definitely a great doctor and better surgeon than Burgemeier. He did a great job assessing my foot and subsequently my foot surgery at Texas health resources. 2 & a 1/2 months have passed and I'm well on my way to a great recovery with post op followups ongoing No thanks to Texas Sports moochers
