Ok cool I did but noticed that all the lighter skinned folks were going back but not me. So at 134pm I went to the desk to ask what time was my appointment she says 1pm but I was waiting for your paperwork to check you in. Lady what?? Most professional establishments have to stay on schedule so when you are checked in, thats that! If they call your name you can finish the paperwork in the room. Not this place. So I finally go to the back and if the paperwork is what you were waiting on to see me why did the nurse ask the same questions?? I get X-Rays still nobody comes to say hey we waiting or the dr is coming, so I waited another 29 minutes and walked out. All the nurses and doctors were laughing and talking in the hallway as I walked out. Then 10 minutes later I get a phone call to ask is everything ok, absolutely not i have waisted over an hour of time and hours from work to come to this dump. She says the dr was coming in, no ma'am he/she was not they were standing in the hallway at the desk laughing and talking. He could've called my name and said something but they didn't. Simply put, Dr. Prudich isn't for us. After hunting for the best wrist doctor in the area, I…read moreconvinced my husband to schedule an appointment to get the lump in his wrist examined. All the positive reviews across multiple platforms made me think this would be a good decision. We were able to be seen within a few days but at our visit, everything went downhill fast and we won't be returning. First off, the front desk ladies were wonderful. They're super kind and cordial and they're the only positive thing about this whole experience. Once in the room, the nurse took a look at my husband's wrist, confirmed my suspicion that it was a ganglion cyst, and said they could slap a bible on it. We laughed thinking she was kidding as she left the room. Then, the doctor, after a strange first encounter that I'll get into in a sec, came in and said the same thing. Um, no. I do not want you taking a "soft bible" and whacking my husband's wrist. You can get blood poisoning by popping a cyst like that and we aren't living in archaic (or ahem, biblical) times. After dismissing that option, he said he could cut it out or drain it and left that decision to us with no advice beyond the success rate. Typically, doctors give their impression on what's the best, medically necessary course of action. We didn't get that. He just seemed like he wanted to beat the blood of Jesus into his wrist and call it a day. The treatment plan was less than desirable but his first impression when he entered the room was worse. It's very off-putting when the doctor stands in the doorway, stares at me, stares at my husband, and then says, "y'know you can take those things [masks] off..." We're aware, but no thanks. There was no "hello" or "how are ya," and as my husband later put it on the car ride home, this doctor "didn't want anything to do with us" based on his demeanor. If you're looking for real medical advice and treatment, look elsewhere. I can't fathom how this guy has so many positive reviews if this is how we treats people and their medical issues.

I was diagnosed with phlebitis in my left leg post op a total right knee replacement by Dr…read more Toulson. I called to make appt with Dr. Toulson but he couldn't see me that week and told me he had me set up to see Dr McKeller, his partner. I needed a medical clearance so I could resume physical therapy. Dr McKeller kept assessing at my rt leg and both the assistant and I kept telling him my phlebitis was in the LEFT leg. He then ordered an xray of my rt knee and said my knee looked great and discharged me. I thought he would call in the medical clearance and resumption of care orders to the PT but he didn't. My physical therapist said they could not resume without the clearance or new orders. Dr McKeller also had advised the reception staff to cancel my next follow up visit because my Xray of my knee looked good. I then had to set another appointment to see Dr Toulson to get new PT orders. At my appointment I complained that I never got the medical clearance or PT orders. He replied that Dr. McKeller said my rt knee looked good. Frustrated, I said my phlebitis was in my left leg, not my right leg and that was why you sent me to see Dr. McKeller in the first place...because you didn't want me to wait until I could see you. Then; to my detriment, I added, if Dr. McKeller can't tell a left leg from a right leg maybe he should retire. Dr Toulson immediately excused his staff assistant, got down on his knee in front of me had me bend my right knee backward to test my range of motion then advised me "I was going to be just fine". I could tell he was angry over my remark and expected him to address my rude comment but he instead just got up; asked me to follow him. He then walked me out to the reception area and told the discharge clerk that I was ready for discharge. The clerk asked when to schedule my next appointment and Dr Touls shook his head no and told him I would not need another appointment. The clerk said "but she" and Dr Toulson interrupted him and repeated I would not need another appointment then turned and walked away. Dr Toulson did not give me discharge instructions nor resumption orders for PT. I was stunned. I called PT and they said they had not received any new orders. They suggested I call my family doctor to get resumption orders. My appointment with my family doctor was almost 3 weeks away and I was extremely upset. I looked for my post op exercises from having my left knee replacement Zanesville OH the previous year and followed those exercises until I accomplished full function of my right knee. My family doctor did call in new orders about a month later but by then I found I was doing okay on my own. Thank goodness I had kept my folder from my Ohio orthopedic surgeon. I do have two really good knees but ultimately give credit my Ohio surgeon for my post op recovery on my right knee because Dr Toulson couldn't take hearing a negative comment from a frustrated patient. My recovery was ultimately good because I kept my post op exercise orders from previous total left knee. I am a retired RN and was the medical director over a Home Health and Hospice. I know that patients can sometimes become angry/frustrated and need a extra support or understanding when they are upset. I also know that sometimes these same patients can get out of line with comments and/or behavior and need redirection until they can calm down. However; they ultimately need to feel they can share their feelings when communicating a complaint and be supported while a plan to address their concern is completed. I don't feel my one agreeably negative comment was worthy of a full patient discharge early in my post op period. To discharge a patient because of one rude remark seems pretty petty to me. I could have been addressed for this negative comment about his partner but I feel discharging me without follow up care was reckless and inappropriate on his part. He's didn't send out a patient satisfaction survey after discharge so after much thought....felt like I could call and complain to Medicare or... just share my experience this way. Maybe another patient won't experience what I did or.... He will be kinder to his next frustrated patient and at least make sure they have a safe discharge plan.

At my 2-week post-op appointment and every appointment afterward, I repeatedly tried to explain how intense and persistent the pain was and how concerned I felt about it. Unfortunately, I left those visits feeling unheard and dismissed. I understand recovery from spinal surgery can be difficult and unpredictable, but as a patient, I desperately needed reassurance, guidance, and to feel like my concerns truly mattered. Instead, I personally felt like I was repeatedly told to "wait it out," even as the pain continued month after month. During this process, I was referred by Dr. Kalra to multiple different specialists in an attempt to address the ongoing nerve pain. However, after being evaluated, those doctors ultimately referred me back to Dr. Kalra regarding the issues related to my fusion and recovery. This left me feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, and unsure where to turn for answers or support. More than a year later, I am still dealing with the same nerve pain that began after surgery. This has significantly affected my quality of life. When I contacted the office again hoping to discuss the ongoing issues I've been experiencing since the fusion, I was informed that I was being dismissed as a patient and later received a certified dismissal letter from the practice. That was incredibly upsetting after trusting this practice with my care and trying for so long to advocate for myself. I'm sharing this only as my personal experience. Every patient's situation is different, but for me, the lack of support and communication during such a painful and vulnerable time was deeply disappointing. I hope future patients feel heard, respected, and taken seriously when expressing concerns about their recovery.
